Just seen theses guys in concert at Bangor Waterfront Concerts!!! They were awesome! Mike got up and sang with Dropkick Murphys too! It was great to see him sing with em again!
I saw these guys last night along with the Shamrock N Roll Festival in Bangor, Maine. They were amazing..I liked them as much as Dropkick, to be honest :)
i saw them at osheaga although the lead singer had long hair.... so i think it might not be the same band although these guys are good so even if the arnt the same guys still happy i found this vid. great song!
You know what would be great? For there to be one damn punk vid on Youtube that doesn't have 500 pages of people arguing about what is punk. Like Biafra said its punk is whats in your head not how you cut your hair.
I love this band. This is a great example of new groups proudly carrying the punk torch...not the other watered down mainstream bubblegum teenybop nonsense.
@Cnat123 dude....for you to sit here and say that street dogs isn't punk is really bewildering. This particular song might not be the a traditional punk song but give one of their records a listen and you will quickly rescind your statement. The vocalist is one of the founding members of the drop kick murphy's for fucks sake. If Street Dogs isn't punk...then neither is Rancid, Anti-Flag....or anyone else for that matter and apparently we must have been all dreaming. *rolls eyes*
@RussoSerb I realize my comment wasn't very clear... What I mean when I said "THIS is a perfect example" was that Street Dogs is a perfect example of what punk is and should be, Notice 1 month ago I stated that this was a great song and video. Dude, I love these guys!
@Cnat123 i agree with you but i actually think it withdraws from the credibility of anything to say it's "this for this reason" i prefer to listen to my music without thinkin it belongs to any genre
great band. playing the marquis in Denver tonight....going to check them and reno. btw though...I saw them a year or so ago...and hung out across the street with them at Scruffys...I asked Mike about the song and if it was about him and Ken...he said emphatically no....he said its about everyone they grew up with. I like Al and Ken singing, but Mike was the man!! cheers!
i remember hearing Do or Die for the 1st time as a kid, thinking how great of a band Dropkick was. Man Mike and Ken have come along way from barber shop in north Quincy
to have and have not is by billy bragg...?
