played this (Tuba Mirum) highschool. this goes so hard! i swear its sounds like Zeus and Poseidon goin at it. haha by far the coldest piece ive ever played!
Thanks to Verdi. Thanks to Karajan. A tribute to the trumpet. Impressive! Powerful! The Paroxism: 2:05.... Van Dam (Le Maître de musique) denotes a thorough vocal technique.
Unfortunately, like the Karajan "Requiem" I bought years ago, not one word is intelligible. I've sung this piece and cannot, then or now, pretend I can understand the chorus AT ALL.
This performance was dubbed . No one was playing or singing in this film, the recording was made before the filming, like most of Karajan's films in later life.
Of course they were singing and playing. The Karajan Telemondial films were filmed during, and in conjunction with concerts in Vienna and Berlin. It was the Unitel films that mostly were made playback. Of course his later videos were put together with recordings from different sessions, but there were never a "separate" soundtrack made before the actual filming for these films.
What are this special long trumpets on the balcony ?? lol

The choir memorized this?? I just sang bass in this whole thing a few days ago there's just no way I could handle memorizing 2 hours of this...

@madscout96 When you take the Wiener Philharmoniker and Karajan and then you put them together you can only have PERFECTION as a result.
