  • What happened with this /

Chris Rock would have been good also.

  • @218Ghost Last I heard Marlon Wayans was supposed to be doing the role and he started touring as a stand-up comedian to prepare.

  • Marlon Wayans will do great, just watch and see. Everyone knows him mostly for his comedy but he does drama really well too.

  • @whitem00n333 I think he will do well also. He is on tour doing stand up and preparing himself to take on the role.

  • I remember hearing that Marlon Wayans was slated to do the film, & that seemed like a good choice to me, but I have no doubt that this role will be more than safe in the hands of Eddie Murphy. I can't wait to see it.

  • @ecliff3 Marlon is doing the movie instead of Eddie Murphy. This is an OLD video of mine.

  • I think Jamie Fox would be better at this role. I mean, he don't look like Pryor either, but at least he's a good actor.

  • Cliff claims to have heard rumor of yet even more indecision and we know how rumors go! who knows? but Cliff has the ability to deliver some incredible Pryor and from what I understand he's currently working on an academy award worthy screen test video to submit to the Movie Company. Maybe he has a chance after all? the rumors continue to fly.

  • Cliff E, an unknown should be given a screen test. Even if they do achieve the look, Eddie could never top Cliff E's Voice. Hollywood is so predictable and don't give enough unknown talent a shot. Wanna know who cliff E is? search Cliff E, pryor impersonator.

  • @Bretster2010 I went and checked out Cliff E's videos and I agree he does one of the best Pryor impersonations I have ever heard. As far as the movie is concerned, Marlon Wayans is going to be doing to part and he is already preparing for the role. I think Marlon will be great as Richard Pryor.

  • i thought it was mike epps

  • Wow, Marlon Wayans is now comfirmed to play the lead role as Richard Pryor. I was so hoping Eddie would do it.

  • 2 yrs later....

  • Murphy too old to play Pryor

  • jamie fox doesn't look like ray charles and will smith doesn't look like ali

eddie is the perfect choice for this

  • Hell no. steve harvey should get this role. marlon wayans? whoever decided that should be slapped and fired

  • Got all of you beat because Pryor is being played by Marlon Wayans

  • MIKE EPPS.....HAS THE LOOK AND CHARACTER.....

  • Your right Eddie doesn't have the look - Steve Harvey has the look, but can't act. John Witherspoon (Father in Friday 1-2-3 movies) would be better as Pryor's character MUD-Bone! My Brother was asked to be one of the writers - in the one that was to have starred Griffin. If i directed I'd go to a theater school, find an unknown with the look. team him w/Paul Mooney for training. Audiences compare famous actors-to-the real Pryor. but an unknown could do it.

  • @skydoll100 Great points. An unknown could do it, but they would probably sell more tickets if it a popular comedian played the lead. You know Hollywood...money considerations come first.

  • Murphy is my all-time favorite comedian. I think he's a great actor, and a master at mimicking; he does a great impression of Pryor in "Raw." He'd be the best choice. I really wish he'd do stand-up again, I'd pay plenty for tickets.

  • How about a biopic of Miles? He certainly had an eventful life. Tough to cast for him, though...

  • So what developed from all of this..???

  • @hichcoc Eddie is not doing the part. Marlon Wayans got the role and he is currently preparing himself by watching Pryor footage and studying.

  • eddie griffin is the best mf out there to play richard pryor

  • @beavis081074 Bullshit IF you seen Eddie Murphy's Raw then you will know why He is the best to play Richard Pryor

  • Long live the Great one Pryor

  • they should get chappelle

  • Eddie Murphy is best choice.

  • marlon wayans to play pryor. eddie murphy to play james brown. perfect casting for each movie.

  • It's hard to imagine anybody doing Richard Pryor. But who knows what actors might surprise us. The idea of this movie makes me think of Dustin Hoffman in his portrayal of Lenny Bruce. I wonder what parts of Richard's life would be in the movie. I'm guessing the fire incident would be in it. And also his trip to Africa, which he talked about on stage.

  • This answers it, i think eddie would be brill at it .....

  • YES EDDIE MURPHY IS THE BEST FOR THE MOVIE EDDIE CAN PLAY HIM GOOD I NO IT delirious I SAW 60 TIMES I GOT IT AND RAW I GOT ALL EDDIE MOVIES TO AND 1980 SNL ?

  • Its Marlon Wayans now

  • Absolutely! Eddie is the best suited actor for the role. He is probably the best actor when it comes to impersonation so he would be able to embody this character.

  • @imeandmyself07 Since I did the video there have been some changes. Eddie is not doing the role. Marlon Wayans will be playing the part instead. I think he will do a great job.

  • @imeandmyself07 Since I did the video there have been some changes. Eddie is not doing the role. Marlon Wayans will be playing the part instead. I think he will do a great job.

  • @JunebugObama Ugh to both! Eddie is a joke. He hasn't played a decent role in....forever! And Marlon? PUH-LEEZE! Don Cheadle anyone! Richard wasn't all jokes you know. There was a very deep, emotional side to Richard and Don would be the perfect actor to portray that side of this comic genius. I would so much rather see Don in this. He's such a talented guy.

  • @JunebugObama i heard cris rock was playing the role, i hope so he's the best

for mr. pryor dont cha think lol

    boomcc1

  • @boomcc1 Last I heard it was Marlon Wayans doing the role.

  • @JunebugObama what do u think about mike epps

    boomcc1

  • @boomcc1 I talk about Mike Epps in this video. I don't think he should be playing the part of Richard Pryor and I go into detail why I feel this way in the video. Aside from that, he is a funny comedian but not much of an actor in my opinion.

  • @JunebugObama nuff said, take care cant wait for the movie

    boomcc1

  • @JunebugObama Marlon is the closest of appearance to richard pryor and he probably could do a good richard pryor too.

  • @lbumpy Also, Marlon is a great actor. He is underrated but I think this role will call attention to his acting skills moreso than any other film he has ever done.

  • It was confirmed by IMBD.com that the role of Richard Pryor will be replaced by Marlon Wayans...interesting choice I think.

  • @SciA I think Marlon Wayans will be great in the role.

  • no way eddie could pull that role off. thank god marlon wayans got cast. hey dude, you sound like Eddie. Is that you eddie???

  • @lorimneal i agree that eddie cant do it, but chris rock is the best for the part

    boomcc1

  • @boomcc1 naw, not chris rock. can't see it. pryor once said in room full of black women that he wished the sistahs would leave him alone so he could enjoy some white pussy...and he got a big laugh. i cant see rock having that much charisma. I think as long as Marlon Wayans sticks to the script and gets a good director and minimalizes the improv, he will be the best considering the options presented. i wished they find an unknown though.

  • @lorimneal eddie can pull off richards voice alot better than marlon

  • Bad pick! He's gonna F this movie up, they should've got an unknown to play the part.

  • @Daprince823 Since the recording of this video, Eddie Murphy is not doing the role. Marlon Wayans will be doing the part instead. What do you think of that?

  • I think Eddie would respect the role enough that he would do a very good job.

  • In order to play a legend u gotta be one yourself...

  • I feel that Eddie Murphy would be briliant at playing Richard Pryor for sure.

  • has everyone free based in honor of richard? junebugobama iseddie murphy

  • I think if they do a Richard Pryor biopic...Kat williams should play him.

  • eddie murphy will do a brilliant brilliant job. check his stand up doing richard pryor. he was also a close friend.

  • are you kidding me JunebugObama???? Eddie has the experience to play Richard true, but who has the looks, the charisma, and actually acts like Richard......Mike Epps reminds me so much of Richard. Not much of a makeover to be done by using Mike either. He is raunchy like Rich was, with the "I don't give a shit" attitude. But Eddie will make a good Rich, but not like Mike Epps.

  • @chytown2k, Since I did this video, there have been some changes made in the project. Eddie Murphy will NOT be doing the role. Instead, Marlon WAYANS will be playing Richard Pryor.

...What do you think of Marlon playing the part of Richard?

  • in my opinion Eddie Murphy is the best choice for this but at the same time i think its an insult to immitate someone whos as legendary as Richard Pryor, yes alot of comedians cuss these days tho non of them can make u laugh like Richard could

shut down the movie and dont bother making it, it was the highest sign of respect for eddie to do this without the money tho

  • Richard Pryor has already made a movie on his life called Richard Pryor Your Life is Calling. Played by him!! Why remake his story if he has already played hiself in a movie.

  • The same reason they made a movie called Ali portrayed by Will Smith. Even after Ali played himself in his own movie The Greatest.

  • Comment removed

  • Dave Chappelle FTW!

He probably the only comic today who thinks like Pryor

  • Do they laugh when you say what you say?

    Yeah

    Do you get paid?

Well tell Bill I said have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up.

  • LMFAO

That is my favorite part of raw, when ever one of my mates is pissed off or moaning I tell them to have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up

  • @DCTheGuitarist I remember going as far as buying a coke and when this one dude opened his mouth I handed him the coke, every body hit the floor laugh except him cause he didn't have a clue what I just told him but he got silent.

  • I'd say steve harvey would be a better choice, looks just like richard pryor and might be able to act like him. Thats my personal choice....

  • Watch Raw...Eddie Murphy can do Richard Pryor easily.

  • Murphy aint playing it now, word on the street is its Marlon Wyans

  • @hardcorecordock that would be perfect

  • Im sure he will do it proud, I hope they make this biopic worth its weight, I would hate a cash in!!

  • I DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS ONE

  • I just watched Mike epps interveiw! He's a fuckin Jerk!! he can't even hold Richard Pryors Nuts! Pryor was a great artist Epps is just a silly Clown! he's that guy one in your class crakin on every body in your school ,making his class laugh ,but a class clown will be just that! a Great comedain! is Great! and how do you define great! His name! Richard Pryor!~ everybody that was somebody in the entertaiment industry wanted to be in the same room with Richard! the Micheal jackson OF COMEDY!

  • I fully agree. Practically all the comics out here today stole from Pryor or at least studied him in order to learn their craft.

Damon Wayans once said, "If you are a comedian and you haven't stole from Pryor....then you just ain't doing it right!" LOL!

  • eddie is a great choice i cant wait to see this i love richard pryor

  • Steve Harvey wen he had his fro looked jus like Richard pryor he woulda been the best 1

  • fuck no what are you talking about? this is going to be a very deep role and you want Steve harvey to play that? uhhh no that would have been a terrible choice

  • i would pay to see eddie murphy and madea in a movie...eddie ...both done by rick baker makeup..but i would go see this...

  • I was thinking, it's not like a film project about Pryor's life hasn't been made before, because it has. Did we all forget about Jo-Jo Dancer? This was an autobiographical movie in which Pryor played himself in the movie. I still would like to see another biographically scripted movie about Pryor though, but this sort of project did get off the writing desk and into the film can before.

  • Nice Junebug. I think the same way as you on this. For the funny parts i think eddie would be just perfect, i'm not sure for the serious parts, he would have to do some oscar winning acting and eddie is to much of a comedian than actor. Hope eddie returns doing stand-ups thats where i belive he's really on fire

  • I agree, Eddie is the right choice. All of this "actors having to look 'exactly' like the real person" thing is negligible. It is primarily about the performance. I mean Angela Bassett looked nothing like Tina Turner, but by the middle of the movie, you believed she was Tina, that's how good she was at playing the part. I think Eddie would be able to do the same thing. Epps playing the part is a joke (no pun intended), & at least Griffin is actually funny, so maybe him if not Eddie.

  • A good book to read on some of the madness behind Richard's life is "Black is the New White" by Pryor's best friend/comedian/ joke writer Paul Mooney. Richard was funny as hell, but he like so many of us had some hellified personal demons. Paul even went so far as saying Richard has some wild mood swings like a werewolf or some shit(cocaine was a helluva drug for Richard too).

  • nigga eddies BLACK, i mean colour BLACK and dont even look like richard son!!

  • mike need 2 do it

  • Mike Epps would be the best choice.

  • eddie murphy is the best choice to play richard pryor but eddie griffin is a good choice too

  • ALTEREGO656 is right about brother Darwin Hines. I just checked him out. Brother is FUNNY. I really liked to skit he did on OJ.

  • Guys Marlon Wayans is doing it which may suck

  • NOOOOOOOOO!!!! NO NO NO NO!!!!!!

    WTF, what about Mike Epps!?!?!?

Eddie Murphy's fallen off the boat and Epps idolizes him this some BS!!!

  • great overview. we need you in hollywood.

  • i heard marlon wayans got the part after eddie dropped out

  • he did, and im pretty fuckin pissed. ive been waiting a long time for a richard pryor biopic and hearing eddie murphy casted as pryor even gave me hope. but eddie dropped out due to some disagreements with paramount and now, my favorite comedian of all time will be played by the baby from Little Man. my expectations are low bout marlon, but, then again, im the guy who doubted heath ledger in The Dark Knight, so i could be wrong

  • Why Eddie dropped out? He was perfect for the part. At least in personality.

  • Hmmmm, if they put a roll in for Paul Mooney it should go to someone with the right attitude and the right cutting edge! They may have to get an unknown. I like this Comedian by the name of DARWIN HINES. You can Youtube his name and you will see what I mean. This Darwin guy has that edge to pull it off. Sometimes unknowns are the best way to go. I think this movie will win an Oscar if done right! Everyone loves Pryor, take time and GET IT RIGHT!!!

  • naaa..richiard pryor had a tragic life...eddie can do it.

  • Hey Krazy, I heard a report that Eddie has dropped out of the running to play the part of Richard. I think that maybe it should go to Eddie Griffth now or Damon Wayne. Jennifer Pyror (Rich's wife) do not like Stever Harvey he will not be in it at all. Jennifer Pyror , Adam Sandler and Chris Rock are the producers of the movie. As far as Paul Mooney is concern, they may not even be a roll for him in the movie. Then again, I don't know how they can leave him out, they were close friends.

  • If it's Eddie....then they're gonna have to do some makeup to make him more closely resemble Pryor.

  • NAH....Mike Epps or more preferably Steve Harvey (although Harvey need to lose some weight. I've always thought of him of a husky looking Pryor).

  • Mike Epps should been Pryor

  • steve harvey kind of resembles pryor....

  • Actually Marlon Wayans is gonna play Pryor now! Which I think is AWESOME! XD

  • What??? That's a good idea. I'm going to have to find some articles on this. I never considered him, but he would be perfect for the role.

  • Heck Yeah! They said he did an audition and BLEW everybody away!!! He will be perfect!

  • Richard already did a bio movie.

    Jojo Dancer.

  • True. I remember that one, but that was around 20 years ago. They have been planning another one for years.

  • I think Eddie Murphy would be the perfect choice. He is a brilliant actor, comedian, knows and respect Richard Pryor.

  • Who's that guy that Direct "RAY" I think he should take on this one also!

  • Eddie will win a oscar off top...

  • one of the eddies definately: murphy or griffin. i always thought steve harvey looks and sounds a lot like richard, but apart from that i dont think he would be able to pull it off. he seems to lack richards "edge".

  • I really think that Eddie Griffin would be much better. However, Eddie is a good second choice. Who will play the part of Rrichard's good friend Paul Moony? Someone out there should check out a Comedian by the name of Darwin Hines too. He's AWESOME!! Youtube that motherfucker!

  • TOPCOO...

I'm thinking that the scared black TV reporter from Scary Movie I should play Paul Mooney. :-)

  • eddie murphy would be a good pick but u think eddie griffin would be better

  • It would be awesome to see this turn into a reality. I think Murphy will be able to capture all the pain and anger and confusion in Pryor's life and show us where the funny came from. Peace.

  • Pryor knew his faults and unlike most admitted them and dared to make fun of himself so its really crazy to see people try and make him out to be some kind of monster. I think Eddie would be a great pick to play Rich. I think Eddie truly loved and respected Pryor and his work and also has the respect and discipline in his own work to be able to give us as near a realistic glimpse possible into the life of the great artistic and talented comedic genius that was Rich.

  • @hkrobin

white people always want to focus on black people's negative parts. if there was amovie about some dumb silly ass beatles, liverpool and pot smoking john lennon they would bitch and cry and run around kicking soccer balls.

  • Wow,,,,, I'm white, not racist,, but you are,, I loved Richard Pryor. Eddie is the ultimate choice to play Richard. Being color blind, I believe comedy is comedy. Poking fun at any color, race is all part of comedy, even if its a dumb as white boy! LOL

  • (lol) aw....tell the TRUTH about white people and they call you "racist". but whites looove to call people names don't they?

Let's make a movie about woody freaky ass allen too. make sure in the movie we focus on how he beat up that little asian pussy supposedly his legal daughter.

"i know he had a 'tough' life but no excuse." i hope they show the good and bad. (like 'hkrobin' said)

  • OMYFREAKINGOD!!! Eddie Murphy playing Richard Pryor. Three words. GREATEST MOVIE EVER.

  • i think eddie murphy is the perfect choice!!! im sure that richard pryor will be watching the movie from heaven cheering eddie on.

  • cool ill have to watch the movie.

  • Will they show the constant wife beating? And the jokes he made about it? I get he had a tough life, but no excuse. Probably my favourite standup, but funny doesn't mean good. I hope they show the good and bad.

  • hkrobin, this is a good question you ask because with all of Richard's great talent, he was a complete A-hole in some of his personal interactions with people. I remember hearing an interview with comedian Jimmy Walker and he said Pryor was NOT a good guy at all. It will be hard for them the make him SYMPATHETIC in this movie if they show some of the stuff he REALLY said and did.

  • It is a FACT that he beat his wife. His kids all confirm it. He was not a good guy, he was a wife-beater, he was a crack addict, he was aggressive, he was difficult, and he was generality bad.

  • i cant really see mike epps as richard pryor. nothin against epps (except for the atlanta interview junebug mentioned), but look at the Being Richard Pryor vid at the right side of the page. he cant keep a straight face. its like someone told him a dirty joke and he's tryin to stop laughin. epps is cool, but eddie just seems fit for the role.

  • i agree

  • I agree w/Maged Man overall but I love eddie murphy. the stand up doesn't compare because murphy hasn't done it in like 20 years. pryor did it his entire career. murphy was better in movies (except stir crazy lol) but pryor was the King of stand up

  • eddie ain't in the same league as pryor. there's pryor and then everyone else. if they want to do a movie they should get unknown stand up comics who could play/act the part. there shouldn't be a big name playing pryor. murphy would ruin it.

  • idk man...i mean pryors the best ever but murphy aint no slouch on stage hes a LEGEND but he didnt do it that much. i heard eddie murphys gonna go on stage again soon...I HOPE SO! cause RAW was maybe the best stand up ever to me

  • I liked Raw too but it was mostly Pryor stuff retread and reworked. Don't get me wrong, Eddie's awesome at characters and sketch work but he really didn't do that much stand up. Pryor's entire career and persona was based on stand up. Can't compare murphy's stand up to pryors. Sorry but they're not in the same universe.

  • plus Paul Mooney wrote alot 4 pryor. i like him better actually

  • Eddie can do pryor good but i think he's too old to play this part.

  • i heard maybe Mike Epps would be Richard!!! i don´t think Eddie Murphy is the best for this role......maybe Epps or even Dave Chappelle

  • Junebug made a valid point. Pryor's pain drove the content of his material. How well can Eddie Murphy project that? I think this aspect is even MORE important than whether or not he looks like Pryor.

  • i can list several reasons why eddie would be great as pryor: he was inspired by him, he did impressions of him, he worked with him on harlem nights, he emceed a tribute show for richard, and his and joe piscapo's SNL audition was reenacting the fuckin word association skit with richard and chevy chase. mike epps is cool and shit, but he cant touch eddie on the actual Richard Pryor experience.

  • Eddie Griffin is doing the best voice for Pryor. Would be cool if i could get some part about pryor someday.

  • Is he really not doing this biopic because of disagreements?

  • Foxx as Ray Charles

    De Niro in Raging Bull

    Denzel as Malcolm X

    Nicholson as Hoffa

These actors' transformation into the real life people they portrayed were excellent

  • yea they did a great job. another one i liked was will smith as muhammad ali. he just LOOKEd and had all alis mannerisms

  • I heard that Mike Epps would be playing Pryor though

  • def eddie murphy , it be intresting to see how he interpets his mentor not just on a comedy show like raw but like on a tribute biopic.i wonder if there would be a scene in the movie durning the 70's-80's where eddie playin pryor meets eddie .. lol , Pryor was quoted as saying Murphy was a little too excessive in some of his bits...would eddie be as truthful about himself ?? i wonder if gene wilder will make an appearance in the film being as he's still alive ....

  • well put

  • doood look up "jo jo dancer your life is calling" richard pryor did his own life story movie thing, look it up and you'll see. i havent actually seen it but i might go buy it

  • yourface187, Yes I did see "Jo Jo Dancer" way back when. A young Debbie Allen was in that. She was fine as hell in those days.

  • Well i, myself, think that Steve Harvey should indeed play the empire of comedy, "Richard Pryor (R.I.P.)." But Steve Harvey shoulld play Richard. Later on during the high lights of his career. With all wildness goings on. But there is another black actor. That have played in some very dramatic roles. And he also played in some commerials on T.V., as well. But i don't know his name.

  • I think eddie will do good in this film he knew richard pryor and his stand up was influenced by pryor. If anyone can do it murphy can. I reckon he will get a oscar for it.

  • Another movie was "Joe and Max." It told the stroy of legendary boxer Joe Louis and his fight against Max Schmelling in the late 30's. Leonard Roberts (who looks like Tyrese a little) played Joe Louis. Joe Louis was light-skinned with wavy hair. Being a Richard Pryor fan and having had the pleasure of seeing him a number of times live in the mid-seventies; Eddie Murphy as Rich? I can't see it. Make or no make-up.

  • I just hope Eddie remembers he used to be funny, and that he use to be the heir to Pryor's throne. Not that he could ever be funnier, but he is the best choice to play him. I'm excited about this, but we'll see what happens. The reason is Richard is too unique an individual to portray in a film. They better do justice to the mans legacy. The only thing that bothers me is that if Eddie is taking a pay cut, does this mean that it's going to be a low budget affair? I hope not.

  • wht do you mean use tobe funny?? and you do realise eddie carreer is is far more bigger then richard's every was

  • no richard is a ledgen eddie murphy is nuttin but a big cornball he's not funny at all

  • dude eddie makes 10 mill a movie..i would love to be that cornball ..richard probaly didnt make ten mill his whole carreer

  • mikeisthesouth, Richard Pryor did not make as much money as Eddie Murphy did, but I'm pretty sure he made over ten million in his entire career.

Richard Pryor was paid $3 million to be in the movie Superman III. This was, at the time, unprecedented and it was a bigger pay day than what Christopher Reeve got to play the lead.

  • There's a reason for that.

  • Well, THAT'S not true. Does the best and one of the only impressions of him too..

  • if anyone can play richard i think it`s eddie others may play it as some funny guy but pryors life offstage had more downs than ups,and eddie know all these thing he knows pryor as a comedian ,a person and as co-worker and friend and with some more prep work he could have it down.

  • eddie can do it but than (like you said) he needs to have some make up work get done ,beceauce when they do a bio-pic of any person and the actor who played the part doesnt look like the person the movie is about that takes you out of the movie, but if they put the make up team to work on him from coming to america and nutty professor i trust it will look great,

  • eddie got his start on imitating pryor

  • Micheal Epps? He is funny and so silly but can he imitate Mr Pryor? Being funny isn't enough. I'm with you Junebug, if Mike Epps is allow then he has to take a more active approach to the role. If not it would sadden the many Richard Pryor fans and possibly ruin his own career.

  • Minordd3, Thanks. It seems you get where I'm coming from on this one.

  • the nerve of these people to even mention a richard pryor movie before a redd fox movie

  • I would love to see a movie ,that's if it's done right.Eddie Murphy would do a great job as Richard Pryor.

  • Denzel would be great as Richard Pryor

  • i think mike epps would have been better as richard pryor

  • I think Eddie took himself off the project and it's supposed to be Mike Epps. I think that it wouldn't be a good idea for Eddie to do this because you could almost make a movie about him. I think Mike could look more like him. I mean this would be like Diana Ross playing Tina Turner or something. It wouldn't work....

  • Im a huge fan of Richard Pryor as well. I have many of the albums and Ive watched Jo Jo Dancer over 100 times. Im glad that Mike Epps isnt playing Richard Pryor, and I think Eddie is a fine choice!!! I cant wait!

  • chalik360, I have had all of his albums...at least I used to. My favorite was "Is it Something I Said," but I also like "Live in Concert" and "Here and Now". What was your favorite?

  • I like Live in Concert and Here and Now the best. Here and Now is the one that he shot in Louisiana? I also watch Which Way Is Up atleast twice a year. I even watch Lady Sings the Blues for the Richard scenes. I wouldve loved to see the Superni**er b

  • my post got cut off....

I wouldve loved to see the Superni**er bit brought to the stand up arena.

  • definitely Eddie, even throu stever harvey wouldnot have been a really badchoice but he's not actor tho

  • this would be a perfect fit. eddie idolized pryor like no one else and they were friends and pryor was his mentor

  • Eddie Murphy seems like a good choice, the proof will be in the movie. I hope the script is well written. Ray Charle's script was pretty good. It's going to be hard to go through Richard's life and get that down. On another note, have you heard that Marvin Gaye has a biopic coming out with that actor Jesse Martin to star? I've also heard Don Cheadle ( who can play sax) will play Miles Davis.

  • Whatever happened to Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling.

Was not that Pryor's biopic? Carmen Mcrae was fantastic.

  • Wow I forgot about Jo Jo Dancer. Thanks for the reminder and I'm a big fan of Carmen Mcrae, I've got to find it now.

  • Can't wait to see it!!!!

  • I think Eddie is great for the role! And if this is his last film (which I doubt) what better way to go out.

    it wou
