People I know lala she's lives four houses down from mine.she has a son called Paris .we love her and we visit her every week.she lives in eastelmhurst
@blazeruru Since you know her can you please show her the clip from the movie Beat Street titled "Beat Street Burning Spear Audition" and ask her if she sings the song at 0:52. It's a mix that starts off with the song "Into the Night" that's by her and everybody is trying to figure out and find the next song that's mixed in after that. A lot of people are saying that it sounds like La La but nobody knows or can find the song! I've been looking for this song since Beat Street was released in 1984
is she the one that wrote "YOU GIVE GOOD LOVE" by Whitney? Also, in the late 80s/early 90s, wasn't there a singer named Leila or Lila K.....somebody help!!!!
@MegaTyler98 Are you thinking about Leila K? She was a rapper in Sweden in the late 80`s, the she started doing clubmusic. She has been a heavy drugaddict for many years now, word is she also has hepatitis and hiv. I`ve seen her a couple of times on the streets here in Stockholm, she is tragic. Lost some teeth, wearing different whigs to cover hairloss. Homeless, people say she is also a prostitute. She is lost. And pretty agressive according to people who have caught her shoplifting...
I have the album that this picture is featured on. She wrote "You Give Good Love" sung by Whitney. Whitney also did some back up on her album too. Several songs were also produced by Full Force (get busy one time)
I use to hear a lot of positive things about Lala when I was growing, up. I always wondered what happen to this talented women. Yes, she was indeed the female counter part to Kashif, so talented and there was big buzz about her career back in the days, but it never took off like that. She was a great song writer, back up singer and things but her solo career never took off. I cant understand why she has a great voice.
Oh Lala, the female counterpart of Kashif, can blow as well as produce, her and Kashif did alot of side by side producing in alot of songs for Melba Moore,Evelyn King, whitney houston, etc.
I love this song. The Glen Jones version is also a favorite of mine. Does anyone know where I might find her song "if you love me just alittle? I think full force sang in the background, it came out about 86 or 87?
Very nice song

Respond to this video... I LIKE EVERYONE ON YOU TUBE is looking for the name of her song in beat street.
Please ask La La for the name and label.
The only other person who may know it is Dj Jazzy J (dj kenny) who played it on the set.
This is the song
