the trick doesn't require codes or passwords, therefore it's not cheating. it's just exploitation of a game glitch. you don't harvest enough souls to buy everything in one gameplay, once you clear the game you'll lose it all. this trick is very useful and it beats the slow version of revisiting levels like 20 times.

@lordgasime yes works too, just did some farming to get the last ranks on spells. If you happen to play on pc and on a good machine this will take minimal time as i was able to spawn roughly about 80-90 riders at a point.

hmm I finally did it I didnt just finally figure it out I also on top of that made them spawn so much that they glitched!!....XDD there was so many of them being next to them they went invisible, all the graphics kept glitching XDD Even my horse and their horses were, and it slowed down the game I thought it was going to crash!...XD so um might be a good idea not to spawn as much? iunno...I may do it again only because I am only at 14 thousand souls....I got along way to go

Okay, for certain the best and fastest way to farm some serious souls :D I play the PC version and gotta say it's trully amazing, it's lagging like hell with 30 or so riders, but it's worth it!

At first, I thought this was fake. But then I tried it (PC version) and pushed the limit of my computer. I jumped in that well about 30 times until it started lagging a bit. I had roughly 60 guys on my screen at once and made around 12,000...yes, 12 THOUSAND souls at once. Epic glitch.

@TpendragonT No, this isn't cheating - it's taking advantage of gameplay mechanics. Cheating is when you do things like mod your save file. If you've played the game, then you know how freaking expensive everything is. Even when doing this, I've not maxed out my wrath abilities - it requires a HUGE amount of souls, so this really just helps speed up the grinding a bit.

Even tho I saved many times in between, when my game froze I lost 60k souls and what I had upgraded :/. half an hour worth of farming :x. 12x down the well = 3 to 4k souls, might want to dashboard or something after 20k.

Just a heads up to all the xbox 360 users. This glitch may cause damage to older 360s. I wouldnt recommend it for xbox users.

@hollowontheinside When you over work a processor it causes heat. The early xbox 360's weren't designed to allow much room for the mother bored to flex when the system got really hot which can cause a bored to crack. This glitch will over work your xbox(why it crashes when you get to many) and could cause the above to happen.

You don't have to climb up and circle the well every time. All that needs to happen is that your mini-map in the corner needs to change from above ground to below ground and back, because the change of locations is what spawns the riders. So really all you have to do is climb the wall until the map changes, then drop back down, climb back up, drop back down, etc. You can do it much faster this way.

I got more than 40 and the game still didn't crash, maybe it's because I'm on PS3. But they're impossible to beat.

@neonvega Firstly, look at your console and there's your problem (PS3 FTW, Xbox has a better processor, yet it's going up to 20/25 times on a PS so...) Secondly, I did say that it does glitch. Glitching does not fuck up your console, long term problems do. I'm merely demonstrating the trick that was found by someone else so it is easier to understand. Thirdly, your comment is the only negative one out of all positives so take your ranting elsewhere please. Thanks.

@BahamutChaos63 Realized this relatively late, when I own Arma. blade... what a pity it cannot be "Enhanced" having this for pc, it is really fun to mess with 40 riders. by the way. PS3 has better cpu and less ram (stupid decision) and xbos has the opposite. =) Cheers.

Ok I tested this to the limit, I think. On my PS3 version, I jumped in the well 21 times which I think is about the limit. Of course expect too much lag but it's doable. Also expect 6.500 souls, in one go ! (Didn't time it but it's about 2 minutes of jumping in the well and about 1' 30" of killing horsemen). Somewhere after the 21 jump in the well (don't remember when exactly) the game froze. Oh I forgot , I had the Armageddon Blade when I did this.

Wow dude, many many thanks man. You saved me hours and hours. The spider method has got nothing on this. 4.000 souls in about 2 minutes ! (I let it glitch out some more, or PS3 version may give more souls or it's the Armageddon Blade or something, i don't know). Spread the word, if you need money (souls), that's the way to go. Either without the ehcantments this spot is a goldmine, compared to other spots. Thanks again man.

@armydominican69 I shouldn't think so no, I haven't played DS in a while so I forget things lol! You can still do the trick if you can't equip the enhancement to the AB (I can't remember if you can or not lol) it just might take longer, so you may want to summon more of the horsemen. On their own they generally release more souls than most other critters anyway :)

i was gonna post my own version of this method but oh well its already on here. you should try killing them in chaos form if your chaos meter is full. find a place where you can transform and make them chase you there. time it right and you could kill up to half the horsemen in seconds.

use the gun too sometimes. like cowboys and indians. so fun... lol
