Just curious why you didn't add some anti-seize to the exterior bolts that bolt the lower unit on. It doesn't look like you are working in saltwater, but when in saltwater hydrolysis is common and the anti-seize will prevent the bolts from becoming locked in place.

what brand of grease did you use/suggest for this along with general O ring and marine applications?

@skiffangler I prefer using yamaha marine grease, but for the water pump impeller since it is only for initial start up, just about any grease will do, just use it sparingly. The yamaha marine grease is packaged in 1lb tubs or tubes for grease gun application. Thanks for watchin'!

Do you suggest having the motor in gear or in neutral when you drop the lower unit?
