Thanks for posting your F250 videos. Last July I bought a Grady-White 225 with an F250 in Singapore. The boat's now at it's new home in Phuket Thailand. Watching the local Thai mechanics service my engine in Phuket 2 weeks ago & then finding your videos online, I know that I'll now be doing my own maintenance.
Question: Have you thought about doing a video covering long lay-ups (2 mo +) in the Tropics and Fogging the F250..?
Just curious why you didn't add some anti-seize to the exterior bolts that bolt the lower unit on. It doesn't look like you are working in saltwater, but when in saltwater hydrolysis is common and the anti-seize will prevent the bolts from becoming locked in place.
d-ray great video keep up the good work!! ??? for you?? i got a 1985 60hp johnson j60elcod, would this motor be hard to switch out the water pump on or is this a coomon job like your yamaha?
@skiffangler I prefer using yamaha marine grease, but for the water pump impeller since it is only for initial start up, just about any grease will do, just use it sparingly. The yamaha marine grease is packaged in 1lb tubs or tubes for grease gun application. Thanks for watchin'!
@mrgetrealpeople I havent worked on a 150 four stroke, but I looked at a parts diagram online for a 2004 model and they look very simular. Thanks for watching.
Good advice about lookin' under the cowl!! Some mechanic left a screw gun in the engine compartment of my Airplane, I didn't find for a few flights too. That could have spelled Disaster for RoadKing eh!!☺

Great video on water pump replacement. I was wondering if you had a video on how to fog a Yamaha 225 4 stroke? Thanks very much!
