  • And that's how you get screwed by choronzon.

  • worked out on painting

  • What's the soundtrack that starts from 3:45, the one with sound effects(growling, gunfire, cries,...)?

  • Wonderful video. I found his commentary enlightening. I haven't seen a comment here on the fact that he said he "had to do this". To me this is critical as I have many bad dreams that involve imagery such as his. I think my subconscious is deeply affected by the suffering I feel we as conscious beings we must endure. We are torn between the reality of life and the world we want to believe in. There is lasting conflict between the two. Giger shows you this.

  • Yesterday I've spontaneously mentally seen that image which appears at 2:13 and/or that at 2:28, and now here I am watching this video.

  • from what documentary is this? this is great!

  • WHO GIVES A HERMETICNETI

  • Any sufficiently advanced holographic quantum physics is indistinguishable from Hermetic magick.

  • I think we all worship the same God...he has many names and is understood in different ways, but no matter what different religions call it, they all refer to the same God. So it's not important how you worship or what you call your worship, but the fact that you do worship. True prayer has no words or thoughts involved. You don't ask for things and tell God what you want. You let all thought go and consciously relate to God through this eternal moment.

  • @IChIDH can it, doofis, god is in the same category as the tooth fairy lol, sheesh when will the masses wake up and quit with this crap about "god" and "spirit" and "soul". If you guys want to rely on god, quit using your computer and go live in the woods. just don't come asking for sciences help when you break your arm,--- just pray! yeah, you know you trust science more than your sol called god, your actions tell the truth, quit kidding yourself and just accept it.

  • @PlutusMaximus Don't put your trip on me or words in my mouth. God and the tooth fairy are hardly in the same category, and your spirit is buried underneath years of bullshit and I can see you don't have a soul (mind)

  • @PlutusMaximus Science is the study of what God created. You state your beliefs as if they were fact. This is like an ant trying to understand rocket science.

  • id be worried for him if he didnt do his art

  • That's some tripped out evil looking shit, imagine if this guy took shrooms what the hell would he trip about...this stuff? fuck that for a laugh.

  • @OneMove33 - greys are sort-of mushroom like entities, and Giger's dad was in the SS - that'll be where all this came from, it's real, it's the same kind of 'machine elf' spaces as what Strieber also talks about, Visitors.

  • Giger is a genius i mean today its not easy to scare people with illustrations.

  • Wow ,how lucky are you!?!? Documentary footage of the amazing artist!

  • neat to look - but im happy without it- great job though

  • Fuck you ass hole, keep jerking off. I think you are gay.

  • Listen to your mom Giger.

  • kool

  • Ok whos the moron that thinks that this is ockult? Lets go out and burn some witches!!!!!!

  • I like dark side things, especially skulls and bones:-)

This artist is great, really nice paintings:-)

  • i want him to live 100 years more

  • I love his art work... so amazying

  • so cool ... one of my favorit artist.

  • Fuken' gross. i thought about it for a while too

  • I know he's been commissioned to do artwork for various kinds of musicians (covers and video), but I've long wondered what he personally listens to for joy, inspiration, relaxation, catharsis, etc. I guess that curiosity extends to all aspects of creativity... what does he like from other people? If you wanna relate what you know, I'm at FB under Troy Palmer. (P.S. One of my fave Giger-related vids is when he allowed Matt Johnston/ The The to record "Ive Been Waiting..." in his then-apartment.)

  • I don't know... I think all of his work looks exactly the same. I thought it was interesting at first, and then became rather monotonous very quickly. The more of it I observe, the more I find it predictable. To me it's not too much unlike the band Nickelback. Repetitious. But, I suppose if it sells... why make changes? Yeah, I watched it twice just to be sure. I think he's repeating himself without even realizing it. I think he has one or two paintings that he just... can't... seem... to... get

  • I also don't understand how anyone can look at this stuff and think it's dark or evil. It's just an extremely vivid imagination at work. He shows sharp teeth and eyes without pupils. That's a representation of nature. Cave salamanders are hardly evil. I mean no disrespect, I'm just expressing myself through writing. Is this evil of me? I have an impulse to break monotony when I come across it. In the case of Giger, it's always "he's brilliant, he's dark, he's disturbing". I respectfully disagree

  • @IshadaKatzteilov You should check out the complete works, the sketches, the juvenile stuffs , atomic children..etc.. it's fresher... but ofcourse subjects and things tends to be similar... but what artist doesnt do like this? from the impressionists and all the way down... it's their fav themes repeated over and over...

  • @IshadaKatzteilov A great many artists develop a thematic stable, which becomes the basis of what they choose to explore about iconography, archetypes, and what makes the mind tick. Maybe you've only seen his airbrush works (the most popular). His full-color oil paintings can be quite different in tone, as are his sketches and sculptures. Look for this stuff...you might change your mind.

  • @IshadaKatzteilov yeah so his work is rubbish?

  • Boys who dont break with their mothers often are preoccupied with evil in this way. Maybe its a kind of immaturity. Rings true when I see him with his mum. what do you think?

  • Giger is brilliant...but his work is seriously dark and disturbed. Love it.

  • He is my favorite artist :D

I wonder if he can make medalions by request.

    Money is not an issue.

  • uh...cant say i agree with his opinion that he is not evil.

  • well he sells alot of that stuff. the singer from korn bought a microphone stand from him

  • awesome

i wonder if he does well at selling his work

  • H.R. show do my tattoos and teach me how draw like that.JK art can't be taught i know.

  • what song is playing? sounds like Antony singing but i'm not for sure.

  • Art, women and his mother. the mother produces change.

  • He did the famous album cover for "Brain Salad Surgery" in the early 70s.

  • yeah it was a painting about fellatio

  • whats occult?

  • The word occult comes from the Latin word occultus (clandestine, hidden, secret), referring to "knowledge of the hidden".

  • hidden, mistery, secret of the paranormal, or knowledge of the hidden!

  • Hidden secret

  • is this on DVD?

  • when did he die?

I didn find any hr giger dying.

the net doesn mention that.. ..

  • H. R. Giger is still alive. He is a Swiss surrealistic painter. He gained an Oscar for creating the Alien in the film "Alien".

    (Look in Wikipedia)

  • awsome 80s style ambience

  • great video spoiled by soundtrack

  • beautiful. one of the best artist if our time. the only reason i even read heavy metal magazine was to see his work.

  • this guy is so right, hell aint a bad place to be. think about it

  • What do you mean?

  • Comment removed

  • Wikipaedia reckons he ain't dead yet...

  • ...and his website doesn't seem to mention his dying.

  • This guy is talented!

  • if you try to understand giger's work, u will realize that in his art, the evils of our society and of our technology are portrayed extremely well. giger's otherworldly images show us what abuse of our technology will do to our civilisation, creating fragile beings incapable of surviving naturally, and whom must merge with their machines in order to continue to exist. his art is beautiful, and it brings an urgent message to all of us.

  • @BabyJes89 thats one way of interpreting it

  • Abstact artist using occultic scenery

  • Stupid Idiot.

  • Typical ignorance and fear-fuelled reactionism. Giger's work EMPLOYS occult and ostensibly satanic symbolism in order to explore and express particular ideas, notions etc. It is not literally "Satanic" or occult in and of itself, nor is it a promotion of Satanism or occultism. Try actually considering outside the bounds of your reactionary belief system before setting finger to keyboard.

  • @Glostemorg Unfortunately, many artists with "extreme" visions get saddled with such baggage. Most great artist go beyond specific belief systems and delve straight into the subconscious/psyche.

  • @XChanceXReactionX then the question remains does evil exist and can you harness its power?

  • @Glostemorg ye probably... but he him self sais that he has to do this otherwise he would flip out, cause its all in him, isnt that a manifestation?... hm

  • @Glostemorg

second, wasn't Giger's inspiration from his night terrors?

  • i was immeadiatly inclined to believe that he wouldnt be a satanist after viewing him in this video.however the interesting thing about satanism is that you dont reveal your satanic faith and by the nature of the practice in doing so you lie to cover yourself.so theoretically it could be very difficult to really know who is - a true satanist ...i am not by the way lol

  • @oo00infinity00oo From what I hear, he's very superstitious. I'm going to assume that he's not a satanist or even religious in any way.

  • @Glostemorg totally agree wid u dude....some christains think that only they are the purest ppl....i live in india and in india we hindus are considered satanic but if u read our holy book BHAGWAT GEETA u can see that in this age that is when the doomsday is coming i.e 21/12/2012 the 10th incarnation of lord vishnu 2 disciples of his and jesus himself is comin to purify the world and they say that we hindus satanic!!!!!! i dont understand christains in ne way!!!!!!

  • @Glostemorg I love how you sit on high presupposing that anyone who has an opinion opposite your own is operating from a place of fear,,,I have news for you,,,,a grown man who sits around drawing demons and lusting for evil doesn't scare me a bit,,,it doesn't impress me,,,it doesn't cause me to fret,,,I feel nothing at but pity for such a blind man,,,and you my arrogant friend You're caught in a strong delusion bc you're under the wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD,,,oh it is you who should fear my friend

  • @candiceevans1 Why is it that you religious folks always manage to talk like caricatures. ALMIGHTY GOD oh no...

I suppose the next thing you will do is give me a bible reading in response. Oh no the horror save me ALMIGHTY ONE.

  • Your not more ignorant because at least you know about this video ...!!!

  • Im talking about "INDIGO STARRZ" who made a dumb comment...

  • thanks for posting this up!

  • creepy

  • Man I wish i could find this whole video!

  • meh, he's just an occultist who can paint well.

  • GIGER IS BRILLIANT, Search for his SATAN Picture. Giger has very intresting message for us. He combines sexuality with mechanic's and dead matter. Loving dead things has becomme a passion in our times, also known as the psy. dease (Necrophilie)

  • hes a genius and freak

  • Frightening world, I remember the movie "Alien"

  • I hope I don't end up in his version of hell..

  • That was a bit disturbing... o.o

  • I am a huge fan of his artwork!!!Awesome

  • I know one of the People in this Clip and Guess What I married Him ..

  • LOL!

  • skillful exotic art. very exprssive. i think he is just expressing more about his distractive mind very more bizzare and mysterious. outlandish. thats very artistic so unusual. weird. awessome.

  • lol cool. 0:48 i have that poster!

  • It wouldn't seem so creepy if it weren't for the poduction. Giger himself seems just a little disturbed and is expressing his mind in art. I can respect that. The people who made the video take it over the top and turn it eev-ill. Stupid.

  • This entire movie was awesome. I had it on VHS.

  • quality art, i would'nt want one of your dreams though.was that mary whitehouse! SIT

  • By the way he also created a Major Arcana-only Tarot deck.

  • disgusting and astonishing at same time.

  • wowza, incredible work he does here. absolutely stellar.

  • You can see all occult nonsenses around these days. But only strong sharp steels and fire of industry survives...

  • The first line of this video is sampled on Rob Zombies's newest CD... Great video!

  • definately possessed to some degree. probably the 33rd.....

  • A TRUE MASTER OF THE DARK ARTS

  • I find his work very beautiful and inspiring.

  • demon possessed

  • I love Giger's stuff but I'm not a Goth or into any kind of dark art bullshit. I am actually surprised that Giger lives in a place surrounded by his work and furniture inspired by it, I wasn't expecting him to have bought into his own visions so much. I wouldn't want to live in a place that looks like my twisted art!

  • Giger is like a journalist in Hell, he is not evil, just reporting back on what he sees.

  • the man is a hero ....

  • He's a modern-day Hieronymus Bosch.

  • Giger is the high lord of the visual dark arts! Utterly brilliant!

  • Well, maybe move out of mommy's house and getcher own place -- then you can paint as naughty as you wanna be, H.R.!

  • I wonder what the stuff his mother said was too heavy looked like!

  • Nice vid! ♣

  • Without Giger we wouldn't have had the Borg in Star Trek. He must have been the inspiration for it.

  • why cant none of ya recognize the pentagram as his source for his demon inspirations?

  • Who isn't recognising it? Lots of his images blatantly have pentagrams in them, it's not like it's subliminal. And that goat headed thing which I can't remember the name of.

  • don't think its real

  • Giger is definitely into the occult, obviously from the pentacle on his desk, and if not worshipping dark forces he is definitely haunted. It's so trendy now to be "evil" and "dark" I think people really know in their hearts they don't feel this way though, like the guy supposedly cursing people. Depends on how you've been brought up though I guess, no I'm not Christian.

  • real freaky shit

  • genius, just pure genious i really envy this guy.

  • Im going back to the Christian video's now

  • who is the composer of that music?

  • Sounds like 'Ethnicolor 1' by Jean Michel Jarre, probably a remix or something.

  • I think I now understand Catholics... and there utter fear of women.

  • boring.

  • i think yo are very simple or boring yourself!!

    Giger is THE HAMMER!

  • gruwelijke shit!

  • tosser

  • When I said tosser i was referring to alexgreenrules2333 with his totally unconvincing curse below, you only have to look at the favourites that this pathetic individual has to judge his sorry frame of mind

  • pure genius

  • DARKSEED

  • im downloading the game right now!

i cant wait to play it!!

  • fantastic art, Didnt like the chilldren in it (disturbing). Though he should remember what u think about people often come true. mabey then women wont b so scary,

  • Thanks Giger, I'd feel insane without you

  • This is cool, I just want to say that "occult"

stuff is not just "negative". Fairies and earth spirits are all so the occult !

  • that is freakin' cool

  • I am amazed by his work everytime i see it. He's true artist.

  • If I had the ability to draw and put pictures on paper, I would make this man look like the pope...

  • Dude, that is HILARIOUS. i love that you said that! lol

  • dumb.

  • Baphomet!

  • Magnificent tenebrous art from an abyssic visionaire!

  • Thank you H.R. for gracing us with your art!

  • really is disturbing but i love it

  • That's some crazy stuff

  • Whew, this man is truly a genius. A little too dark for my balance, but, I still respect his skill, vision, and works.
