this is amazing!!! good job~ i played this at my last concert... absolutely loving every pieces in suite antique!!!

however, i do have to agree that this movement is played too fast. it is supposed to give an improvising impression, more relaxed, but the tempo is too fast for breaths and fingerings, it looses its "jazzy poise" at the "more busy areas"

Thanks! this is the first time to play jazz, I hope I can really get the spirit of jazz next time~:).

Perhaps, I have to listen more jazz concert or read books about jazz, learn something different!^^")

When playing, I was always confused with the "more busy area," especially the piece,

and never thought about the tempo. (I thought I was too slow formerly.)

Nice job. For us classically trained flutists this movement is quite a challenge. I would suggest a little slower tempo so you have time to really play all of the notes. SO you can really hear if it is a 7th of some jazzy chord, not just a blur on notes. It is difficult.

I agree - the Waltz movement is played way too fast.

Even the feel of the first few flute bars give away that it should be played with a fairly relaxed, almost jokey style.

This girl has a really great tone though!!

wow...i remember playing this a couple years ago when i was in 8th grade or somethin like that for some competition and you played it very well!!!!!

one criticism tho is that it needs to have more of a jazzy feel, kinda like emphasizing the upbeats in the first technical are (right after you turned the page). btw i really loved your tone!! i luuuuuuuuv this piece :) again, great job!

She is very very good! i played this song in a concert with my japanese teacher lol :p we did Aria and waltz, the only critism i have of this extemly talented lady was her first trill in the higher octave struggled , other than that i think she was flawless! thank you very much :D I think i may need to practise some more lol ;o) love Lacey xx
