  • I could never get this movie, I know there's probably alot of social commentary, but someone would have to disect this movie for me and tell me which scene is relevant and what it means.

Like this exchange for instance...WHAT THE FUCK does it mean?! It's so frustrating!

  • Its all about the characters. What is really funny about the dude is how he lives his life and how he reacts to the crazy situations he get s in. I understand why some people don't like it, but personally I think it is one of the funniest movies ever!!!

  • The Stranger: There's just one thing, Dude.

    The Dude: Yeah, What's that?

The Stranger: Do you have to use so many cuss words?

The Dude: What the fuck you talking about?

The Stranger: Ok, Dude. Have it you're way.

  • has anyone ever noticed that "the stranger" asked for a sasperirillo and they gave hime a fucking beer???

  • It's like root beer so it's very conceivable that it would come in a bottle.

  • It's actually a "Sioux City Sasparilla." It was a brand of root beer that was available in the early 90's. The company also made a cream soda and another flavor or two. Sioux City Sasparilla was pretty good.

  • Wow

  • Hey, far out, Baz744! A man who knows his Sasparilla! Sasparilla (root beer) was the first soft drink brought to the American West. It was made from Sassafras root. As for me, I'm gonna grab a few Oat Sodas!

  • It's still available today. It's quite good too.

  • Sioux City Sarsaparilla(that's how you spell it) comes in a Brown bottle

  • The Dude will abide!

  • lol
