Good evening, I am about to start a 250 build and your videos are great. A couple of questions if that's ok? When you remove the servos after centering with radio and you disconnect from receiver to fit balls onto horns do they stay centred? Also can you show your finnished cable routing and how to shorten cables?
Without power and receiver signal, the servos will move if you push on them. You have to be careful not to do that. When you put the horns back on, you can power them up and go back to your 50% pitch point, and it should be easy to see where they need to go. My wiring job isn't that good - you can see some good ones on Helifreak web site. I will do a video about shortening the cables when I get around to it. That has been requested and is in the queue :)

If you have difficulties follow jasmine's way, i found this way to be easier:
First connect the Boom to the Mainframe with the Belt attached to the Tail drive gear, than simply slide the Tail Rotor Shaft into the Belt slope and built the Tail unit around.
Pull the Boom a bit to give the Belt the right tension (don't overdo!). Fix screws - done.
It is not hard to build if you have built a 450 or 500 before - it's pretty much the same thing but smaller. What is tricky about this one is getting it set up and adjusted right, because of the small parts. Also, flying it can be hard because you can't see it too far away and it moves fast.
I think your videos are greatly detailed and helpful. The only problem is when the instructor shows the samples close to the camera there needs to be better lighting. Otherwise great video. Thanks, I could you them for my new 250.
Sorry about that - I don't have a professional studio, but I am using some very bright halogen lights come from different angles. Also, the screen on my camera is very small and I can't tell if it goes out of focus. I will try to see if I can make it better if I do more. Probably next videos will be Hobby King 450.

Yup - any way to get it on there correctly will work. I did a similar way when I recently switched to the carbon fiber boom.

The Trex-250 is not very good for beginners. It is very small and fast, and the setup can be hard to get right. However, it does have cheap parts.
