The incident in 1992 was when the Badgers went to the rose bowl, it was a trampling and not a single person was killed. I rest my case.
The Badgers played in the 1994 Rose Bowl against UCLA (it was the 1993 team).

The Badgers went to the Rose Bowl in 1993. Michigan went in 1992.

That was back in the early 90's, and a few students died..supposedly that can't happen again, but hey..at least it looks cool!
