1. People see it as kiddy as its animation, despite the contense

2. hentai series such as bible black have created false steryotypes about all anime being creepy porn

3. the horrible, original english dub and edit. i remember it from several years ago and it still makes me cringe

@JasperCorp it also doesn't help that the level of fanservice (distasteful) is pretty high. For some its called for like soraoto but it becaomes a bit unnerving like with queen's blade.

I've got a friend who completely thinks anime is the above. Kinda saddens me that there is some really good stuff but people's first impressions are just ruined by the bad works.

In hindsight, I feel like I was a tad too aggressive in my discussions about this anime and others as well, but having recently watched the OVA (after completely forgetting about it for so long) it is a vast improvement over the few episodes of the TV series I have seen. It's still not without its idiosyncrasies, but given that it was a 2 episode OVA, it held up decently. I should try to watch the movie soon in preparation for Evol; hopefully the movie & Evol's stories could match prod. values.

my dad showed me this anime and he hate it. he told me a million different ways to say the word suck. but hes kinda right i found the series very good the ending was good and the story to except when you get into the middle of the series like the episod the soccar guy was having those merge withdraws it was stupid but nearing the end it got back on track.
