It's Paul's right not to answer that question...anyway getting fired from a band isn't unusual...it's a most common practice...after all The Beatles became what they are today also because of Ringo's (and not Pete Best's) drumming...
I'm a great believer in karma. What goes on comes around. Disregarding the great music as a band and as individuals post-1970, John, George and Paul did not have much luck as individuals from the seventies onwards. Paul himself hasn't written decent catchy tune since 1984. People lost interest in him as a songwriter after the mid eighties. Am I correctus rightus or what?
I've met Pete Best he only lives round the corner from and I'm telling you now he's the only one who ever was unlucky enough to associate with these arrogant bastards to give you the time of day, get out The Beatles arse's, you may like the music but they're a bunch of pricks
I made a negitive comment about how pete was screwed I believe in do the right thing . best was paid millions in the 1990's for his part of 1st recordings the beatles did right by pete best and I respect that. my fault ,i like pete and paul .I in time and now think the beatles are the best pop rock band ever i was a hard rocker so took a while .but the beatles are part them and part studio trained and this is why they were king without beeing shown how to make pop hits by there label
There is a new project at Kickstarter(dot)com for the film "The Beatles at their Best". It focuses on the time before Ringo joined. According to John Lennon, this is when the Beatles were at their best.
Why would any fan have a problem or even be concerned about the sacking of Mr. Best?
One man's misery is millions of other people's happiness in this case. Sorry if this is taken as insensitivity, but thank goodness for John, Paul, George and Ringo. An ingrate I'm not. He's alive, healthy, has food, a home, running water, electricity, a family, etc. Dont feel too sorry, people. Avert your attention to the 2/3 of the world who do not have these basic things. And enjoy that great Beatle music.
The answer is kinda easy, not doing at all with musicianship: They got along better with Ringo, and Mccartney's HUGE ego fit more comfortably with a less good looking drummer than Pete Best.... no need to be a fine musician to be in a big band, just befriend them, right Andy Fletcher (Depeche)?
Presumably all of the Beatles members and business associates were told early on NEVER to discuss the ousting of Pete from the band. Why? Potential legal (and possibly financial) implications.
tHE aNSWER IS this: The Silver Beetles (The Beatles: John Paul George Pete and Stu) went to Hamburg Germany. There they met Ringo. They went to audition for a record label, when the manger said Pete did not fit requirements. Stu met a girl and stayed in Hamburg. With stu out... Paul couldnt play drums because there was no bass. They called in Ringo, though they still didn't make it. Though Ringo stayed after the audition and went back To England with John, Paul, and George.

If you guys want an unexpected shock, watch the video for the song "Gone" by Pete Best from his album Hayman's Green. I am a HUGE Macca fan and I will admit that it is a good and catchy as something Paul would have written.
@onlyjoetee because they were close mates at one time, and they shared a lot of history together, and most of the people they shared that special time with are dead.,John,Stu, George. He should at least talk to the guy, and patch things up. it would be a nice thing to do. He don't have to play with him, just make the peace., after all..."Life is very short, for fussing and fighting my friend"...George never got a chance to make up with John and it bothered him...
@ZAPDUNGAA songwriters dont really think about writting song, you dont have to,they just come out of you, songs are basically miracles,he's certainly not thinking about pete best thats for sure lol...
@ZAPDUNGAA .....because they were close mates at one time...and they shared a lot of history together...and most of the people they shared that special time with are dead....John...Stu...George....Mal.....Neil.... He should at least talk to the guy.....and patch things up....it would be the right thing to do....He don't have to play with him....just make the peace.....after all.....life is short.....and one day they'll both be dead...and then it will be too late.
i do feel sorry for pete...not cause he was kicked out of the band...he prob saw that coming...but his best friend neil asspinal( beatles driver) , fucked pete's mom for three weeks got her pregnant..and then dumped her and the baby 3 weeks after pete's dismissal..l mean this guy was supposed to be pete's best friends..now all beatles fan put this neil guy on a pedestal simply cuz he was loyal to the beatles...like seriously..the guy was a jerk
We did a song called Human Rights (Direitos Humanos) and dedicated to Bono Vox (U2) and John Lennon(Beatles). Estúdio RDP-Brazil, Brasília-Alberto Dias
I have totally lost respect for the Beatles. They are assholes. What they did to Pete Best at that time was disgusting. They did not even have the decency to share one iota of their welth and they never spoke to Pete again. They are pure evil. By the way Pete lived in near poverty for decades. Only now is he financially secure due to royalties from the Beatles anthology which included ten tracks he played on.
@jeepsterrr "I have totally lost respect for the Beatles. They are assholes". There may be some truth in that, but they are still a great band, and even Pete Best thinks so. Regardless of what happened, Best is a fan of his former band and owns all their records!
@jeepsterrr I'm pretty sure it wasn't their idea to include Ringo in the team, but they agreed to let him in and let Pete go. And that time, Beatles explained that it was hard to contact (Talk, gives messages in mails) others in Liverpool while they had non stop gig around the world... And the time Pete was around, Beatles had the some financial problems (Explained on Anthology 1).
@jeepsterrr - In retrospect it seems a lot worse of a thing now because we know the heights they reached; at the time, though, I doubt Best thought he had lost a winning lottery ticket or something. He was a drummer of two years' experience, and although the Beatles had some buzz around them, they were just kids doing mostly R n' B covers, and hadn't even come into their own as amazing songwriters yet, never mind conquer the entertainment business.
@johnnytastetest Well maybe but even so the point is they did make it huge and Pete Best played a huge part in their development in the early days. Even had they shown appreciation for that by giving him a 1% royalty on they would have at least shown decency. But no, instead Pete went through years of mental hell before getting a job in the civil service. I love the Beatles music but my respect for them has gone. All you need is love? Yeah sure!
@jeepsterrr let me make it more clear for you..You're a fucking idiot, you say how evil The Beatles were and then in the same post explain how Best got a bunch of royalties from them..Sorry I didn't realize I was dealing with an illiterate retard..understand now?
@jeepsterrr Number 1..the only time I swore was when i said fucking..count the letters..number 2, glad you have nothing left to say to refute my point, i will take my youtube comment victory and sail away into the sunset, i bid you good day
@kingofallwhites Well, obviously, I fucking care and I wrote my comment because I'm tired of seeing badly written, really badly written, comments on here. It makes the writers sound like morons. Anyone brought up speaking english should automatically use that phrase correctly, and you're wrong the beatles did use the language properly and would have also said 'fired from'. If english is your 2nd language then fair enough but if it's your 1st then ...get it fucking right!
@khasab You certainly embarrassed yourself with all the puntuation errors in that ill-written paragraph. Hyphens where quotation marks should have been,... numberous commas missing,... and lack of proper capitalization. As you said: "GET IT FUCKING RIGHT!" Idiot. ;D
@Ghstwn Well shit for brains there isn't one hyphen in my comment and no missing commas. Also I never claimed every tiny bit of punctuation had to be perfect. The only lack of proper capitalization is with the word "english" which i was well aware of when I wrote it. Can you show me the commas that are missing? No? You are the one who needs to get it fucking right, pal!
@khasab I had to leave you a little something,... so you would not feel so inferior. Besides, I knew how hard you would be looking. You understand don't you. ;)
@Ghstwn Why of course I do. Let's summarize shall we children? You're a halfwit who made ignorant claims about the state of my writing which you can't uphold as they are obviously untrue. You have made it clear that you don't even know what a hyphen is. You have not shown me where my missing commas are because, of course, you can't. To top it all you can't spell long words. Well, I have to tell you it's worked; I don't feel inferior at all!
@Ghstwn I do feel though that I should offer you some advice: accept gracefully a minor grammatical correction.By continuing this argument you are only digging yourself deeper and deeper into an embarrassing hole. Just give it up as a bad job and move on. That's good advice.
@wjv4me It was George Martin that was dissatisfied with Pete Best. Though the Beatles themselves had been becoming upset at him for missing so many rehearsals, and Ringo had to be called to fill in for him.
Anyway,.... Pete Best made "millions' as he was all over the first Beatles anthology disc. Which included most of everything they had recorded before Ringo. And that collection went on to record sales.
So you obviously are too misinformed to make comments. ;)
@wjv4me Id like to know how they were jealous? Not to mention he got paid for everything that he did while he was in the band. Why should he get paid for time he didnt put in?
@chumon1992 I am a Beatles fan so this is an honest answer. Pete was the most popular with the girls- they were always screaming for him. So some believe that they got rid of him so that the spotlight would not be on him all the time. Bring in RIngo, problem solved. He suffered ENORMOUSLY from being fired from the band. He finally got rich in the 90's from Anthology I.
@Ettoredipugnar Pete Best was long removed from the band by the time of "PLease Please Me." He was released in 1962. Months before the start of the famous one day recording session of the Please Please Me Album recorded on Feb. 11 1963. There is no recording of Pete on the song in exsitance. It's just a fact. Sorry, but you are completely out of the circle here.
Only "Love Me Do" has version with a session drummer in place of Ringo. And also one with Ringo. Facts are like that at times.
Lads how could you even have assumed that this was real :L The minute I saw it I knew it was an automatic question and answers thing set up. It's not rocket science!
@TheDiddlysquat No I don't spend my whole life attacking people on videos about Pete Best. In fact I spend less of my life doing that than you do attacking Pete Best.
As for Best "doing it all" for himself, not true. His kids think he is a great father, no videos of them saying what a shit he was (unlike Julian talking about John, "I have little respect for him as a father and human being").
@TheDiddlysquat Many times??? 4 times over 2 years is many? hahaha. This gets better, the arguments (if they can be called that) are getting even more fictional and none of it is backed up by any credible evidence!
@TheDiddlysquat Where did I claim I was an "expert"... show me the post where I said that or my opinion was superior to anyone elses. Show me that post and I will admit defeat. Of course, I'm speaking very confidently because I KNOW I never said that! Once again another person with a weak argument making things up that were never said, proving they have no true argument, just fiction!
@TheDiddlysquat That's another point FabFM dismisses out of hand. Pete not only looking rather unimpressive on drums in newer videos... but he has another drummer???
@KezRox "After weeks of my life spent on Google I have now found several quotes by the beatles trying to make light of the fact they were ******* by using Pete Best" - TheDiddlysquat
@KezRox Many bands have two drummers, no big deal. What band didn't have two drummers - The Beatles for over 1,000 gigs with Pete Best between 1960 and 1962.
@TheDiddlysquat That's why I said what I did re Pete not being up to facing the future! If his fan base was so great, there's no reason why he couldn't have gone solo or joined Rory Storm? But it's always "oops- he didn't want to work with Brian," "oops - he didn't want the chair for RS&TH," "oops- he couldn't get a green card to go join the Monkees." How many excuses does there have to be before we say he was better off baking bread & Mother just couldn't be there to boost him at every turn?
@TheDiddlysquat Well Mr. FabFM needs to be informed of this, not me! ;-) I don't buy his argument that Pete's resurgence & demand of these "millions" of fans means anything (if true.) I'll likely never meet Paul McCartney, but I could conceivably meet Pete. I'm sure he never fills venues over 1,000 - if that! Peeps are attracted to celeb culture. Pete will always have his name connected to the Beatles, so he's a marketable entity. it sure isn't musical accomplishments of his own. He has none!
@KezRox Where did I say Best had "millions" of fans? I said thousands and thousands of people were willing to pay to see his band perform, and see his q&a sessions about his Beatles days... that was it... that is fact... you have to exaggerate in your replies, because your arguments (like John Majors) are "weak, weak, weak".
@FabFM "We died as musicians because we played the same songs all the time." - George Harrison.
Who was their drummer then?0 And I might add, the bulk of their live playing was in those days. The quit later on since it was no point with all those girls drowning them out. So of course they would say the Hamburg days were better.
@KezRox Pete Best may have been their drummer then, but that is a moot point because he wasn't in charge of the song selection. However, if Best was a shite drummer and Ringo was so great, it wouldn't matter how many gigs they played back then as opposed to how many they played with Ringo, because according to you he carried the band and made them what they became!
@FabFM "Pete Best may have been their drummer then, but that is a moot point because he wasn't in charge of the song selection." Not really, it's just something I point out out as the flip side of your Lennon quote.
@KezRox And miss the point being made... they couldn't have been their best days if they had a shit drummer, the gigs would have been shit and they wouldn't have got follow up bookings... but yeah, ignore that point again, because it disproves what you say!
On the other hand, best wasn't responsible for the song choice, thus that quote has nothing to do with his drumming!
@FabFM "because according to you he carried the band and made them what they became!" All I know is this: Notoriously a change in bassist or drummer hobbles a band's sound. But what I see in the films of the Beatles in their earliest tours is a tight as a baby's ass band that couldn't be derailed from being on key or on time. Ringo is even able to take the mic on one song! To me that shows it had more to do with jealousy of Pete. It was a BRILLIANT decision, with some thought put into it.
@KezRox "what I see in the films of the Beatles in their earliest tours is a tight as a baby's ass band that couldn't be derailed from being on key or on time"
That's what you think. Lennon didn't. As he said, they were their best gigs!
"They've never stuck to one particular, logical reason. "First of all, I was a crap drummer. Then they said I'd left the band. Then I was anti-social. Then, Brian was inhibited. Then, you get George turning around and saying I was becoming unreliable. We played 1,000 gigs, and I missed four ... So, controversy arises, doesn't it?" - Pete Best
John, Paul and George knew Ringo since their Hamburg and Liverpool club days. They thought he was a great drummer, but Ringo was in a "bigger" group and making more money that the Beatles could offer. Still, they were pals and Ringo agreed to sit in when Pete was sick. So Ringo knew their material cold. Once the Beatles got a record deal, they had something to offer Ringo that his current band couldn't match.
@MegaObserver1 oh is that a fact? then please explain why johnny hutchinson was offered the job first but turned it down because he respected pete best!
@MegaObserver1 Also... Best was a good drummer... fact. His second band, The all-stars were voted second best band in liverpool in 1963 purely on the fact he was their drummer! When Merseybeat magazine broke the news of the beatles recording what picture was on the front page? A picture of the group? No.. a picture of pete best on his own! The Beatles would not have sold one less record if Best remained their drummer, this nonsense he wasn't up to the task is complete horseshit!
frankily i think Ringo was a much much better drummer then Pete was. Aside from being a good drummer, Ringo also had personality. Personality was something Pete never had when he was with the beatles. it was said that Pete never took part in casual conversations with Paul, George, and John and he never went out for socializing when they did. Pete also hogged much of the limelight and never bothered bringing Paul, George, or John into it. it's rather selfish if you ask me :P
Pete Best just didn't get along with the other members of the group. end of story. judging from the songs of the beatles early years, when they were the silver beatles, pete did sound like a quality drummer. but how well you play isn't ALL that matters when your in a band it's also how well you can work with the other members in the group. Pete just didn't get along with Harrison, Lennon, and McCartney. therefore he was let go and they found Ringo who was a good drummer and a good guy.
@rissygirly22 According to George Martin, Pete wasn't good enough to play on the Beatles' first single. He told Brian Epstein that he could do whatever he pleased live, but intended to get another drummer for the recording session. Brian indicated that they were thinking the same thing. The girls all used to scream for Pete in the early days as well. His popuarity wasn't an issue. I guess it was his musical skills. Not terribly clever, but passable.
I remember when Ringo was on a talk show here in the USA in the early to mid 1970s...he let it slip that none of the beatles could say a word about Pete Best because they would be sued if they even hinted at anything bad about him
The Beatles didn't take off until Ringo joined, period. Ringo redefined rock drumming. His tempo and creativity are vastly underrated and under appreciated. Joe Strummer once said, '...a band is only as good as it's drummer.' Since the Beatles are head and shoulders above everyone then there must be some respect paid to the little man in the back who gave the others the foundation for musical greatness.
@drummerman63 - Thats rubbish. Learn your Beatles history. Yes I'm sure the addition of Ringo was a great catalyst for what they becamme but they were already on their way with Pete. PERIOD. No point arguing about 'what if's' but to claim the band were big because of the drummer is daft. And yes, I am a drummer - I'm one who knows his place,. at the back, keeping the beat . . . ..and you're a good example of why drummers aren't given mics . . . unless you're the Eagles . . . . er . . . . :)
MIck Avory of The Kinks drummed for the Rolling Stones, and was sacked for Charlie Watts. He dusted himself off & joined the Davies brothers to survive 20 some odd years in the biz. Why was Pete unable to translate his fan base into a new career? Very shortly the 60's would shift into overdrive and we would meet Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, and many more great drummers. Who the drummer of the Beatles was at that point was moot. Either you got what it takes to face the future, or you don't.
@KezRox Best drummed on the decca and polydor tapes. Very few people can even tell the difference between his and Starr's drumming unless they are told which one is on the track, proof if any is needed that the Pete "wasn't up to it" is complete drivel. Besides, Best did face the future, maybe he wasn't a top star but he got on, did what was right for his family (unlike Lennon) and used his intelligence in other areas. Maybe you don't consider than facing the future, but most do!
@FabFM Come now, nobody denies he was the better man in that sense. But to those who bemoan the loss of Pete Best the drummer, I use my Avory/Kinks illustration and it's a good comparison. It shows whom career-wise was able to "face the future." As I said, REAL great drummers were yet to come (Baker, Moon, Bonham, Peart etc.) just to point out that music was bigger than Pete vs. Ringo. Fyi, I've heard Pete's version of Love Me Do. I can tell the difference. Not to Pete's good, unfortunately.
@KezRox Pete's "version" of Love me do was a run through of an unfinished song, not something that was intended to be considered for release. To compare that to a finished product is misleading and gives a distorted example. Indeed in many early run throughs John and Paul's vocals and guitar playing are far inferior to the final versions!
Plenty of decent musicians never "made it", the fact someone sells millions is not necessarily "evidence" of talent.
@KezRox No that's not the "end of story".... no one wanted Stu did they? they were told by several booking agents to drop the guy who couldn't really play, yet the beatles made sure he stayed in the group because they were "loyal" to each other and HE FAKED IT ALL. Regardless of what George Martin wanted (in other interviews he said he never wanted Best fired) they used Pete, then got shot of him once fame came their way... they acted like arseholes... and that's the story!
@FabFM In looking over the Wikipedia Stu Sutcliffe entry, I find the same thing: differing opinions on how good he was, what happened when. Klaus Voorman liked him, for example. Others say he just stuck to root chords. I think you could tell better what they thought if when they got ready to record for their big debut if they booted him then. What I got out of What Martin said is that he wasn't doing anything to get rid of PB, not that he cared that much- except that Pete got hurt by it.
@KezRox Stu couldn't play bass guitar. period. He himself became the bass player because he could "fake it" easier than the drums. he didn't even really want to be a musician, he wanted to paint, but was persuaded by his friends (john and paul) to spend his wages on a bass instead of paints. however, he left the band because music was not his true love.
I never said George Martin liked Best's drumming, but Martin was not an expert on rock n roll. Martin worked with big bands pre-Beatles.
@FabFM That might have some merit of Decca had signed them, or of Martin had not made the comments he did, and only partially took back after he saw how PB took a fall for it.
@KezRox No, it does have merit. They can't claim "he was a crap drummer" when for TWO YEARS they were more than happy to have him sitting behind the drums!
@FabFM So what do we have here? GM adamant about using White. ATCO using another drummer to play over the top of Pete. A crummy track on Love me Do. Unremarkable tracks on the Beatles/Sheridan stuff. Unimpressive presence in recently videotaped shows. Add it all up and... bye bye Pete!
@KezRox What we have here is 1. George Martins Opinion. 2. A record issued with Best's drumming that was a top 10 hit in Germany and issued by a UK record company. 3. A early rough draft of Love Me Do, compared to a finished polished version, simply to make a weak argument about Best's drumming abilities look stronger, although it isn't working...
Add it up: Best was used and discarded. It has nothing to do with him being a worse drummer than Ringo Starr.
@FabFM 1. George Martin's opinion is pretty valid! How many records have you produced that have been hits? 2. That another drummer played over the top of. 3. Not even a valid point, demo's are rough drafts by definition. I'd fire somebody who played like that on my demo even SOONER! 4.Not working? For whom? I have heard nothing that impressed me. "Works" for me! ;-) 5.But he was a worse drummer than Ringo, and I have yet to hear anything that changes my mind
@KezRox 1. George Martins opnion is no more valid than Bert Kampfrerts, who was involved in the original version of My Bonnie. Kamferts productions have sold millions. 2. Another drummer played "over the top" on a later version and (by your own admittance) so did another guitarist. The original "Pete Best" version was issued first. 3. My point exactly - but they didn't fire him sooner, putting a huge hole in the argument. 4. It is not working for you, seeing as John's vocals were worse on demos!
@FabFM 1 You just said GM was not an expert in Rock N Roll because he was Big Band. Now BK is supposed to be qualified when he's more jazz? You spelled Kaempfert wrong. 2 "So did another guitarist" who and who cares? 3 Nope no hole in the argument, you just want to see it that way. Lots of people don't get around to giving the bad news they should have sooner. 4. Too bad John didn't have a good drummer to excite him and bring out his good side, eh? ;-)
@KezRox Never said BK was more qualified than GM, said he was just as qualified... which is true! Oh and clearly you care, because you mentioned it! and yes there are holes in your argument, because if there wasn't I wouldn't be able to point them out (just look at the amount of times you haven't even got what I said right). It wasn't a matter of "getting around to bad news" it was a matter of the other three being arseholes!
@FabFM No GM was more qualified, as evidenced by his track record in Rock N Roll that Bert didn't have! No I never mentioned another guitar player, you did. There's only holes in my arguments in you're delusion. No I never got what you wrong, I disagreed with what you said. You obviously can't see the difference.
"It wasn't a matter of "getting around to bad news" it was a matter of the other three being arseholes!"
@KezRox GM didn't have a track record in rock n roll pre-Beatles, so any decisions he made then were not based on rock n roll sounds. Indeed, recording techniques for jazz are closer to rock n roll's loose sound than big bands slick productions. If anything BK was the one with the better experience in 1962.
@FabFM How many stretches do you make to defend your point, let me count the ways: You admit that neither BK nor GM were Rock 'N' Roll. Then really, it's all kinda moot. Listen to "In the Mood For Love" by Glenn Miller. That's a WHOLE lot closer to the basic rhythms employed Rock 'N' Roll than Jazz, which tends towards improvisation, which would be more important via Hendrix and later developments. Either way, GM had the hits, proving he had the touch, All BK has is that he defended Pete! :P
@KezRox Incorrect, Louis Armstrong was much closer to rnr, and influenced a lot more of the founders of rnr than Glenn Miller ever did! And no, BK produced many artists and sold hundreds of millions of records. GM, on the other hand, owes the bulk of his legacy to one group. Proving that The Beatles actually did more for GM than vice versa.
@FabFM Of course the Beatles did a lot for GM. Doesn't make him a pile of shit producer otherwise. (America's albums sound pretty darned good!) But it still could easily mean he was more the right choice for the Beatles. BK would have made them work with Pete! ;-)
@KezRox You made a good point (ruined it with the swipe at Best though - still trying to force your personal taste as fact). George Martin also made a good album with Kenny Rogers. But BK's jazz output was also excellent!
@FabFM Remember the story of how the Rolling Stones sought after Lennon & McCartney for songs, and how the 2 sat in their studio and finished up their demo with all of them sitting in awe? Do you think they needed Pete there!? The Beatles made The Beatles, period.
Rolling Stones... who was their drummer? Charlie Watts! Another guy who would have humiliated Pete, had he stuck around. ;-)
@KezRox They didn't need Ringo there either, so that's neither here nor there. I never claimed Pete Best made the Beatles, I just said Ringo Starr didn't!
As for Charlie Watts as a drummer, I personally rate him about as much as I rate Phil Collins (as a singer).
@FabFM Ya know... I once thought that Pete's dwindling supporters might have a point. I heard Little Steven say "Go see his band it will remind you of a time when Rock 'N' Roll mattered." And comments like "You haven't heard the Beatles until you have heard Pete Best!" Somewhere between seeing the footage of Ringo on the Beatles 1st tour of the US and seeing a Youtube of Pete's band, that lost all credibility. Everything I've heard since then has only served to reinforce that.
@KezRox So you admit others disagree with you... proves that others do rate Best higher than you and thus there is an argument to be made, you certainly are not the ultimate authority on music or what people should prefer. I have many friends who think Ringo was a better drummer and understand that's what they think, but they certainly allow others who think Best was just as good, or better, to hold that view.
@FabFM ROFL! I "So you admit others disagree with you... " Yes, I freely admit some people defend Sid Vicious over Glen Matlock. I come right out and own up that some say the Monkees were better than the Beatles. I'm sure somewhere somebody thinks Milli Vanilli really sang and Britney Spears wasn't signed because of her looks. Yup, I admit all these things. You got me there! As to whether or not these views are held out of ignorance or sentimentality, that's another matter. ;-D
@KezRox So where was the "hype" around Pete Best? How come all these years on people still prefer his drumming despite Ringo Starr being the man that made the Beatles? (according to you at least).
@FabFM You like Chocolate, I like Vanilla. There's will always be supporters to defend him to his dying day, just like those who still say Sid was better for the Sex Pistols than Glen. Are they correct? I go to the audio in each case and if it Rocks my socks off, I report accordingly.
@KezRox I do the same myself, lets agree to differ on the music, we both have the right to prefer who we want. I'm not gonna change your mind, and vice versa, which is fine.
@FabFM Oh, I see now- you are hopped up on my quote that mentioned another drummer & another guitarist. Pewwwwww! Boy are you delusional as to what makes a valid argument! Here's the quote again: "they hired a session drummer and session guitarist to "punch up" the songs, particularly Pete Best's drum work." KEY WORD: "Particularly!" The session guitarist was there to help it sounds better. The drummer was there to help it not suck so bad. Not hard or see at all! ;-)
@KezRox No I'm not delusional as to what makes a valid argument. the truth is they still punched up the guitar, so the guitar playing was not good enough either. Also, if you play Pete's version and the remix back to back they have simply got someone else to imitate what Best did anyway, so it was pointless exercise! Of course you're not listening to the drumming, any little scrap of shit you can find that agrees with you you'll take as fact and claim no one can argue against it!
@FabFM Wow this is REAL ignorance: "the truth is they still punched up the guitar, so the guitar playing was not good enough either." Nope. They could have done it because there was a need to multi-track the Guitar Sound, a tactic commonly done! "Pointless excercise" - earlier you didn't even know this was done. Now you admit Atco said it needed punching up. Perhaps it was simply the audio they were concerned with. But now you have TWO studios that didn't want to rely on Pete's drumming. (Why?)
@KezRox I knew they added a drum track on the 1964 version, but that was irrelevant because (if you actually read my post) I was talking about the original 1961 version that most certainly featured Best and was a top 10 hit in Germany!
@FabFM "Of course you're not listening to the drumming, any little scrap of shit you can find that agrees with you you'll take as fact and claim no one can argue against it!" Nope. I AM listening to the drumming that's why I take the opinion I do. I used the Atco anecdote to try to get you onto objective ground by a historical fact. I admit though, however hard I've tried to get any objectivity out of you or shock you into reality has utterly failed. Woe is me! ;-D
@KezRox But you're NOT listening to the drumming... proven by your ignorance over the 1964 versions of "My Bonnie" and "Aint she sweet" which are only alleged to have removed Best drum track and replaced them with someone else doing an uncanny impression!
@FabFM Wow, you are confused. The allegation is that another drummer played over the top of him! Elsewhere, you admit this: "I knew they added a drum track on the 1964 version." Either way, those tracks are only even known because of their place in Beatle history, otherwise they would have melted like vinyl on a hot summer sidewalk. And I base my conclusion on my having listened to the tracks.
@KezRox 5) He was not a worse drummer than Ringo, and I have heard every Beatles album, and yet to hear anything that changes my mind. (See we can all state our own opinion as gospel).
It's been 50 years Paul. Give Pete a ring!
blazak 6 days ago
It's Paul's right not to answer that question...anyway getting fired from a band isn't unusual...it's a most common practice...after all The Beatles became what they are today also because of Ringo's (and not Pete Best's) drumming...

I'm a great believer in karma. What goes on comes around. Disregarding the great music as a band and as individuals post-1970, John, George and Paul did not have much luck as individuals from the seventies onwards. Paul himself hasn't written decent catchy tune since 1984. People lost interest in him as a songwriter after the mid eighties. Am I correctus rightus or what?

The Beatles at their Best (film)

FabFM 4 months ago
@jeepsterrr I'm pretty sure it wasn't their idea to include Ringo in the team, but they agreed to let him in and let Pete go. And that time, Beatles explained that it was hard to contact (Talk, gives messages in mails) others in Liverpool while they had non stop gig around the world... And the time Pete was around, Beatles had the some financial problems (Explained on Anthology 1).
Vincebandicot521 4 months ago
@jeepsterrr - In retrospect it seems a lot worse of a thing now because we know the heights they reached; at the time, though, I doubt Best thought he had lost a winning lottery ticket or something. He was a drummer of two years' experience, and although the Beatles had some buzz around them, they were just kids doing mostly R n' B covers, and hadn't even come into their own as amazing songwriters yet, never mind conquer the entertainment business.
johnnytastetest 4 months ago
@johnnytastetest Well maybe but even so the point is they did make it huge and Pete Best played a huge part in their development in the early days. Even had they shown appreciation for that by giving him a 1% royalty on they would have at least shown decency. But no, instead Pete went through years of mental hell before getting a job in the civil service. I love the Beatles music but my respect for them has gone. All you need is love? Yeah sure!

kingofallwhites 5 months ago
@kingofallwhites Well, obviously, I fucking care and I wrote my comment because I'm tired of seeing badly written, really badly written, comments on here. It makes the writers sound like morons. Anyone brought up speaking english should automatically use that phrase correctly, and you're wrong the beatles did use the language properly and would have also said 'fired from'. If english is your 2nd language then fair enough but if it's your 1st then ...get it fucking right!
khasab 5 months ago
@khasab You certainly embarrassed yourself with all the puntuation errors in that ill-written paragraph. Hyphens where quotation marks should have been,... numberous commas missing,... and lack of proper capitalization. As you said: "GET IT FUCKING RIGHT!" Idiot. ;D
Ghstwn 5 months ago
@Ghstwn Well shit for brains there isn't one hyphen in my comment and no missing commas. Also I never claimed every tiny bit of punctuation had to be perfect. The only lack of proper capitalization is with the word "english" which i was well aware of when I wrote it. Can you show me the commas that are missing? No? You are the one who needs to get it fucking right, pal!

@Ghstwn Why of course I do. Let's summarize shall we children? You're a halfwit who made ignorant claims about the state of my writing which you can't uphold as they are obviously untrue. Well, I have to tell you it's worked; I don't feel inferior at all!
khasab 5 months ago
@Ghstwn I do feel though that I should offer you some advice: accept gracefully a minor grammatical correction.By continuing this argument you are only digging yourself deeper and deeper into an embarrassing hole. Just give it up as a bad job and move on. That's good advice.

wjv4me 5 months ago
@wjv4me It was George Martin that was dissatisfied with Pete Best. Though the Beatles themselves had been becoming upset at him for missing so many rehearsals, and Ringo had to be called to fill in for him.
Anyway,.... Pete Best made "millions' as he was all over the first Beatles anthology disc. Which included most of everything they had recorded before Ringo. And that collection went on to record sales.
So you obviously are too misinformed to make comments. ;)
Ghstwn 5 months ago
@Ghstwn Your first paragraph is inaccurate. George Martin was surprised by his firing and the rehearsal thing isn't true either.

chumon1992 5 months ago
@chumon1992 I am a Beatles fan so this is an honest answer. Pete was the most popular with the girls- they were always screaming for him. So some believe that they got rid of him so that the spotlight would not be on him all the time. Bring in RIngo, problem solved. He suffered ENORMOUSLY from being fired from the band. He finally got rich in the 90's from Anthology I.
kingofallwhites 5 months ago
If you listen to the take of please please me that Pete plays on you will know why he was fired..
Ettoredipugnar 5 months ago
@Ettoredipugnar Pete Best was long removed from the band by the time of "PLease Please Me." He was released in 1962. Months before the start of the famous one day recording session of the Please Please Me Album recorded on Feb. 11 1963. There is no recording of Pete on the song in exsitance. It's just a fact. Sorry, but you are completely out of the circle here.
Only "Love Me Do" has version with a session drummer in place of Ringo. And also one with Ringo. Facts are like that at times.

FabFM 10 months ago
@TheDiddlysquat That's why I said what I did re Pete not being up to facing the future! If his fan base was so great, there's no reason why he couldn't have gone solo or joined Rory Storm? But it's always "oops- he didn't want to work with Brian," "oops - he didn't want the chair for RS&TH," "oops- he couldn't get a green card to go join the Monkees." How many excuses does there have to be before we say he was better off baking bread & Mother just couldn't be there to boost him at every turn?
KezRox 10 months ago
Is this thing even real?
KezRox 10 months ago
@TheDiddlysquat Well Mr. FabFM needs to be informed of this, not me! ;-) I don't buy his argument that Pete's resurgence & demand of these "millions" of fans means anything (if true.) I'll likely never meet Paul McCartney, but I could conceivably meet Pete. I'm sure he never fills venues over 1,000 - if that! Peeps are attracted to celeb culture. Pete will always have his name connected to the Beatles, so he's a marketable entity. it sure isn't musical accomplishments of his own. He has none!
KezRox 10 months ago
@KezRox Where did I say Best had "millions" of fans? I said thousands and thousands of people were willing to pay to see his band perform, and see his q&a sessions about his Beatles days... that was it... that is fact... you have to exaggerate in your replies, because your arguments (like John Majors) are "weak, weak, weak".
FabFM 10 months ago

@FabFM Your quote was "maybe they would have, dosent alter the fact millions may have heard them for that reason but actually like them!"

"The Beatles played their best gigs in Hamburg" - John Lennon
Who was their drummer then?
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM "We died as musicians because we played the same songs all the time." - George Harrison.
Who was their drummer then?0 And I might add, the bulk of their live playing was in those days. The quit later on since it was no point with all those girls drowning them out. So of course they would say the Hamburg days were better.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox Pete Best may have been their drummer then, but that is a moot point because he wasn't in charge of the song selection. However, if Best was a shite drummer and Ringo was so great, it wouldn't matter how many gigs they played back then as opposed to how many they played with Ringo, because according to you he carried the band and made them what they became!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM "Pete Best may have been their drummer then, but that is a moot point because he wasn't in charge of the song selection." Not really, it's just something I point out out as the flip side of your Lennon quote.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox And miss the point being made... they couldn't have been their best days if they had a shit drummer, the gigs would have been shit and they wouldn't have got follow up bookings... but yeah, ignore that point again, because it disproves what you say!
On the other hand, best wasn't responsible for the song choice, thus that quote has nothing to do with his drumming!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM "because according to you he carried the band and made them what they became!" All I know is this: Notoriously a change in bassist or drummer hobbles a band's sound. But what I see in the films of the Beatles in their earliest tours is a tight as a baby's ass band that couldn't be derailed from being on key or on time. Ringo is even able to take the mic on one song! To me that shows it had more to do with jealousy of Pete. It was a BRILLIANT decision, with some thought put into it.

MegaObserver1 11 months ago
@MegaObserver1 oh is that a fact? then please explain why johnny hutchinson was offered the job first but turned it down because he respected pete best!
FabFM 11 months ago
@MegaObserver1 Also... Best was a good drummer... fact. His second band, The all-stars were voted second best band in liverpool in 1963 purely on the fact he was their drummer! When Merseybeat magazine broke the news of the beatles recording what picture was on the front page? A picture of the group? No.. a picture of pete best on his own! The Beatles would not have sold one less record if Best remained their drummer, this nonsense he wasn't up to the task is complete horseshit!
FabFM 11 months ago
Huh? This looks like his response is taken from some other interview
albuorkka 11 months ago
frankily i think Ringo was a much much better drummer then Pete was. Aside from being a good drummer, Ringo also had personality. Personality was something Pete never had when he was with the beatles. it was said that Pete never took part in casual conversations with Paul, George, and John and he never went out for socializing when they did. Pete also hogged much of the limelight and never bothered bringing Paul, George, or John into it. it's rather selfish if you ask me :P
rissygirly22 11 months ago
Pete Best just didn't get along with the other members of the group. end of story. judging from the songs of the beatles early years, when they were the silver beatles, pete did sound like a quality drummer. but how well you play isn't ALL that matters when your in a band it's also how well you can work with the other members in the group. Pete just didn't get along with Harrison, Lennon, and McCartney. therefore he was let go and they found Ringo who was a good drummer and a good guy.
rissygirly22 11 months ago
@rissygirly22 According to George Martin, Pete wasn't good enough to play on the Beatles' first single. He told Brian Epstein that he could do whatever he pleased live, but intended to get another drummer for the recording session. Brian indicated that they were thinking the same thing. The girls all used to scream for Pete in the early days as well. His popuarity wasn't an issue. I guess it was his musical skills. Not terribly clever, but passable.
Lunarmoonbase2 11 months ago
I remember when Ringo was on a talk show here in the USA in the early to mid 1970s...he let it slip that none of the beatles could say a word about Pete Best because they would be sued if they even hinted at anything bad about him

pete can join the NEXT beatles group, sure will come
dylanizer100 11 months ago
The Beatles didn't take off until Ringo joined, period. Ringo redefined rock drumming. His tempo and creativity are vastly underrated and under appreciated. Joe Strummer once said, '...a band is only as good as it's drummer.' Since the Beatles are head and shoulders above everyone then there must be some respect paid to the little man in the back who gave the others the foundation for musical greatness.
drummerman63 11 months ago

KezRox 1 year ago 3
@KezRox Best drummed on the decca and polydor tapes. Very few people can even tell the difference between his and Starr's drumming unless they are told which one is on the track, proof if any is needed that the Pete "wasn't up to it" is complete drivel. Besides, Best did face the future, maybe he wasn't a top star but he got on, did what was right for his family (unlike Lennon) and used his intelligence in other areas. Maybe you don't consider than facing the future, but most do!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Come now, nobody denies he was the better man in that sense. But to those who bemoan the loss of Pete Best the drummer, I use my Avory/Kinks illustration and it's a good comparison. It shows whom career-wise was able to "face the future." As I said, REAL great drummers were yet to come (Baker, Moon, Bonham, Peart etc.) just to point out that music was bigger than Pete vs. Ringo. Fyi, I've heard Pete's version of Love Me Do. I can tell the difference. Not to Pete's good, unfortunately.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox Pete's "version" of Love me do was a run through of an unfinished song, not something that was intended to be considered for release. To compare that to a finished product is misleading and gives a distorted example. Indeed in many early run throughs John and Paul's vocals and guitar playing are far inferior to the final versions!
Plenty of decent musicians never "made it", the fact someone sells millions is not necessarily "evidence" of talent.

From the Horse's Mouth: Pete was ousted because George Marin didn't want him. End of story.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox No that's not the "end of story".... no one wanted Stu did they? they were told by several booking agents to drop the guy who couldn't really play, yet the beatles made sure he stayed in the group because they were "loyal" to each other and HE FAKED IT ALL. Regardless of what George Martin wanted (in other interviews he said he never wanted Best fired) they used Pete, then got shot of him once fame came their way... they acted like arseholes... and that's the story!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM In looking over the Wikipedia Stu Sutcliffe entry, I find the same thing: differing opinions on how good he was, what happened when. Klaus Voorman liked him, for example. Others say he just stuck to root chords. I think you could tell better what they thought if when they got ready to record for their big debut if they booted him then. What I got out of What Martin said is that he wasn't doing anything to get rid of PB, not that he cared that much- except that Pete got hurt by it.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox Stu couldn't play bass guitar. period. He himself became the bass player because he could "fake it" easier than the drums. he didn't even really want to be a musician, he wanted to paint, but was persuaded by his friends (john and paul) to spend his wages on a bass instead of paints. however, he left the band because music was not his true love.
I never said George Martin liked Best's drumming, but Martin was not an expert on rock n roll. Martin worked with big bands pre-Beatles.
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Everything I've ever heard of the 2 drummers tells me Ringo was Rock 'N' Roll. Pete wasn't. Ultimately, the right choice was made.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox I dissagree, and so did many Beatles fans in Liverpool, and so do many today. The decca sessions have some awesome tracks and Best did well!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM That might have some merit of Decca had signed them, or of Martin had not made the comments he did, and only partially took back after he saw how PB took a fall for it.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox No, it does have merit. They can't claim "he was a crap drummer" when for TWO YEARS they were more than happy to have him sitting behind the drums!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM So what do we have here? GM adamant about using White. ATCO using another drummer to play over the top of Pete. A crummy track on Love me Do. Unremarkable tracks on the Beatles/Sheridan stuff. Unimpressive presence in recently videotaped shows. Add it all up and... bye bye Pete!
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox What we have here is 1. George Martins Opinion. 2. A record issued with Best's drumming that was a top 10 hit in Germany and issued by a UK record company. 3. A early rough draft of Love Me Do, compared to a finished polished version, simply to make a weak argument about Best's drumming abilities look stronger, although it isn't working...
Add it up: Best was used and discarded. It has nothing to do with him being a worse drummer than Ringo Starr.
FabFM 11 months ago
KezRox 11 months ago
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM 1 You just said GM was not an expert in Rock N Roll because he was Big Band. Now BK is supposed to be qualified when he's more jazz? You spelled Kaempfert wrong. 2 "So did another guitarist" who and who cares? 3 Nope no hole in the argument, you just want to see it that way. Lots of people don't get around to giving the bad news they should have sooner. 4. Too bad John didn't have a good drummer to excite him and bring out his good side, eh? ;-)
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox Never said BK was more qualified than GM, said he was just as qualified... which is true! Oh and clearly you care, because you mentioned it! and yes there are holes in your argument, because if there wasn't I wouldn't be able to point them out (just look at the amount of times you haven't even got what I said right). It wasn't a matter of "getting around to bad news" it was a matter of the other three being arseholes!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM No GM was more qualified, as evidenced by his track record in Rock N Roll that Bert didn't have! No I never mentioned another guitar player, you did. There's only holes in my arguments in you're delusion. No I never got what you wrong, I disagreed with what you said. You obviously can't see the difference.
"It wasn't a matter of "getting around to bad news" it was a matter of the other three being arseholes!"
Just your opinion. Doesn't make it at all right.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox GM didn't have a track record in rock n roll pre-Beatles, so any decisions he made then were not based on rock n roll sounds. Indeed, recording techniques for jazz are closer to rock n roll's loose sound than big bands slick productions. If anything BK was the one with the better experience in 1962.
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM How many stretches do you make to defend your point, let me count the ways: You admit that neither BK nor GM were Rock 'N' Roll. Then really, it's all kinda moot. Listen to "In the Mood For Love" by Glenn Miller. That's a WHOLE lot closer to the basic rhythms employed Rock 'N' Roll than Jazz, which tends towards improvisation, which would be more important via Hendrix and later developments. Either way, GM had the hits, proving he had the touch, All BK has is that he defended Pete! :P
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox Incorrect, Louis Armstrong was much closer to rnr, and influenced a lot more of the founders of rnr than Glenn Miller ever did! And no, BK produced many artists and sold hundreds of millions of records. GM, on the other hand, owes the bulk of his legacy to one group. Proving that The Beatles actually did more for GM than vice versa.
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Of course the Beatles did a lot for GM. Doesn't make him a pile of shit producer otherwise. (America's albums sound pretty darned good!) But it still could easily mean he was more the right choice for the Beatles. BK would have made them work with Pete! ;-)
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox You made a good point (ruined it with the swipe at Best though - still trying to force your personal taste as fact). George Martin also made a good album with Kenny Rogers. But BK's jazz output was also excellent!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Remember the story of how the Rolling Stones sought after Lennon & McCartney for songs, and how the 2 sat in their studio and finished up their demo with all of them sitting in awe? Do you think they needed Pete there!? The Beatles made The Beatles, period.
Rolling Stones... who was their drummer? Charlie Watts! Another guy who would have humiliated Pete, had he stuck around. ;-)
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox They didn't need Ringo there either, so that's neither here nor there. I never claimed Pete Best made the Beatles, I just said Ringo Starr didn't!
As for Charlie Watts as a drummer, I personally rate him about as much as I rate Phil Collins (as a singer).
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Ya know... I once thought that Pete's dwindling supporters might have a point. I heard Little Steven say "Go see his band it will remind you of a time when Rock 'N' Roll mattered." And comments like "You haven't heard the Beatles until you have heard Pete Best!" Somewhere between seeing the footage of Ringo on the Beatles 1st tour of the US and seeing a Youtube of Pete's band, that lost all credibility. Everything I've heard since then has only served to reinforce that.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox So you admit others disagree with you... proves that others do rate Best higher than you and thus there is an argument to be made, you certainly are not the ultimate authority on music or what people should prefer. I have many friends who think Ringo was a better drummer and understand that's what they think, but they certainly allow others who think Best was just as good, or better, to hold that view.
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM ROFL! I "So you admit others disagree with you... " Yes, I freely admit some people defend Sid Vicious over Glen Matlock. I come right out and own up that some say the Monkees were better than the Beatles. I'm sure somewhere somebody thinks Milli Vanilli really sang and Britney Spears wasn't signed because of her looks. Yup, I admit all these things. You got me there! As to whether or not these views are held out of ignorance or sentimentality, that's another matter. ;-D
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox So where was the "hype" around Pete Best? How come all these years on people still prefer his drumming despite Ringo Starr being the man that made the Beatles? (according to you at least).
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM You like Chocolate, I like Vanilla. There's will always be supporters to defend him to his dying day, just like those who still say Sid was better for the Sex Pistols than Glen. Are they correct? I go to the audio in each case and if it Rocks my socks off, I report accordingly.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox I do the same myself, lets agree to differ on the music, we both have the right to prefer who we want. I'm not gonna change your mind, and vice versa, which is fine.
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Oh, I see now- you are hopped up on my quote that mentioned another drummer & another guitarist. Pewwwwww! Boy are you delusional as to what makes a valid argument! Here's the quote again: "they hired a session drummer and session guitarist to "punch up" the songs, particularly Pete Best's drum work." KEY WORD: "Particularly!" The session guitarist was there to help it sounds better. The drummer was there to help it not suck so bad. Not hard or see at all! ;-)
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox No I'm not delusional as to what makes a valid argument. the truth is they still punched up the guitar, so the guitar playing was not good enough either. Also, if you play Pete's version and the remix back to back they have simply got someone else to imitate what Best did anyway, so it was pointless exercise! Of course you're not listening to the drumming, any little scrap of shit you can find that agrees with you you'll take as fact and claim no one can argue against it!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Wow this is REAL ignorance: "the truth is they still punched up the guitar, so the guitar playing was not good enough either." Nope. They could have done it because there was a need to multi-track the Guitar Sound, a tactic commonly done! "Pointless excercise" - earlier you didn't even know this was done. Now you admit Atco said it needed punching up. Perhaps it was simply the audio they were concerned with. But now you have TWO studios that didn't want to rely on Pete's drumming. (Why?)
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox I knew they added a drum track on the 1964 version, but that was irrelevant because (if you actually read my post) I was talking about the original 1961 version that most certainly featured Best and was a top 10 hit in Germany!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM "Of course you're not listening to the drumming, any little scrap of shit you can find that agrees with you you'll take as fact and claim no one can argue against it!" Nope. I AM listening to the drumming that's why I take the opinion I do. I used the Atco anecdote to try to get you onto objective ground by a historical fact. I admit though, however hard I've tried to get any objectivity out of you or shock you into reality has utterly failed. Woe is me! ;-D
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox But you're NOT listening to the drumming... proven by your ignorance over the 1964 versions of "My Bonnie" and "Aint she sweet" which are only alleged to have removed Best drum track and replaced them with someone else doing an uncanny impression!
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Wow, you are confused. The allegation is that another drummer played over the top of him! Elsewhere, you admit this: "I knew they added a drum track on the 1964 version." Either way, those tracks are only even known because of their place in Beatle history, otherwise they would have melted like vinyl on a hot summer sidewalk. And I base my conclusion on my having listened to the tracks.
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox maybe they would have, dosent alter the fact millions may have heard them for that reason but actually like them!
FabFM 11 months ago
@KezRox 5) He was not a worse drummer than Ringo, and I have heard every Beatles album, and yet to hear anything that changes my mind. (See we can all state our own opinion as gospel).
FabFM 11 months ago
@FabFM Who needs it to be Gospel? I just need to hear "Suckage Drummage!" ;-)
KezRox 11 months ago
@KezRox But it's not, it's "lies lies lies!
