  • Thanks for these great videos! I have just found your videos on constant sorrow and I have always wanted to learn the song like ron block plays it with AKUS. Your version sounds great to me so I am going to try and learn it...

What is the Chord progression for this song in your progression?

Also when when AKUS plays this song it looks like they are capoed up to the 3rd fret.. once I have learned your break on this song what will I need to do to play along with them

  • @nate3240 It is just a I, IV, V progression. G, C and D, or with the capo, A, D and E. Then, back to the I.

  • @nate3240 I don't know anything about anyone else's vids, and unfortunately, I don't have time to check them out. Take the lesson for what it is. If you master it, you will be able to make any subtle changes needed. I try to answer as many responses as I can, but with 3 million + video views, it has become a full time job. I wish I had more time to research these things for you, but I am really swamped.

  • @krausewillhunt I never use tabs, and folks who do become reliant upon them. These videos are meant to help people memorize without tab, and this is the whole reason I slow them down for everyone. Just be patient and work along with it, and you will do fine without the tab. Everyone does.

  • This blows my mind! Hopefully I'll master that song some day, thanks!

  • @alpenjon Thank you.

  • Great arrangement of an awesome tune! Keep up the good work, Rob!

  • Rob, thanks so much for all your lessons,I love this tune. I'd been struggling with books, but I learn so much better visually, and really appreciate the time and trouble you spend making these. I am also a classic rock fan, any chance of melding the two for a banjo version of an old classic?

  • I am SO glad that I found your site. I used to play guitar and would jam with one of my friends who was on banjo and I never felt so alive. I got this banjo for my husband but it's gathering dust. I'm on disability and am going crazy trying to find something to do. NOW I have it. I am SO excited

  • @sweetcrickettmolly Excellent. I am glad to be of use.

  • can you post a video on how to properly tune a 24 fret 5 string banjo??

  • @MrJoshtdrew I never work with those. I think they are down a whole step, but I'm not sure.

  • great!

  • I would have bought you a banjo Rob, if it meant getting a quicker lesson. Welcome back Rob and Banjo. Awesome mate, Colin, Scotland.
