  • I'm sorry but if I want to watch a cartoon I'll turn on the tv saturday morning. On film I want to see real landscape, real sky, real acting.

I bailed after 15 minutes of this crap and put on the 1962 version of 300 and ya know what?............I freakin' loved it,man.

  • it is so hard to believe the film was made with blue screens, fake weapons, and actors....but the end product was a visual masterpiece.

i would have had a smile on my face the whole time giggling to myself about how we are pretending to fight a battle.....

  • thank you thank you thank you.. i love anything gerard butler.... ;o)

  • Movie shouldve been called 300...........abs

  • Gerard Butler in a t-shirt? WHAT SORCERY IS THIS? DO THEY OWN A TIME MACHINE?

  • Some lucky-stars makeup artist had to go in there with a blush brush and outline all the muscles. I would have done it for free. I would have paid them to do it.

  • @ernestezekiel That means I'm in! :D

  • @ernestezekiel 6 pack is overrated

  • i didn't like the movie coz everything was so fuckin fake in it

  • @vraich007 I must have missed the memo saying mythology was supposed to be real.

  • why there was not The Battle of Thermopylae or there was no sapartans.all i am trying to say is that they made it myth which it was not.secondly they proformed all fight scenes and stuff in studio.so everything looks fake.

  • @vraich007 Because this is based on a comic book bassed on the battle. So it's supposed to LOOK like the comic book.

  • @MatchCard Spartans were not mythology though. King Leonides exsisted

  • @EffLabels *sigh* do I really have to spell it out for you? Of course there are true historical things in there but they mixed in mythological aspects as well.

  • Viva Sparta!!!

  • THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

  • Gerard Butler is...........a badman lol

  • Guys there is no point arguing here. Spartans ~450 BC and Vikings 9 to 10th century. Do the math. Spartans did honor their country, their woman and their fellow warriors (also their enemy), the latter they were invading, looting and drinking beers.

I like both since they formed our today history but Spartans is the proper icon of what hero should be and what is the meaning of fighting for your country for your beliefs.

  • dunno if i should do this or ninja assassin workout

  • Classic, BAD-ASS movie!!!!

  • Greece's history used and abused ....

  • we appreciated all your physical training gerard!!! ;D

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERARD!!! :*:*:* by Alexandra

  • @drepop803 awesome

  • @drepop803 I just did this right now.

  • @CroationStation lol im glad others did too. you used a nord?

  • spartans are just a pussy version of vikings

  • @MrThewaffen Read some history first, before making any statements

  • @vagos696 yeh i have dick head and last time i looked the vikings would be the worse warriors to fight because they couldnt be beat and would look foward to dying in battle and when the fuck did a spartan king rule half the fucking world

  • @vagos696 Finally! Someone who actually knows about the spartans! Pay no attention to @MrThewaffen, he's a jumped-up little dutchman who doesn't have a clue about any time earlier than 2005 :P

  • @MrThewaffen Just saying that shows you don't know shit about Spartans or vikings :P

  • @MrThewaffen *Yeah, *owned, *whole, *armies, *couldn't...dumb fuck :P besides, the spartans trained day and night from when they were seven years old until the day they died. They played games as kids that involved trying to steal food whilst being whipped, and the winners would often die and be hailed as heroes. They were released into the wilderness in order to kill fully grown men from the age of ten onwards. No viking king ever ruled half the world, you stupid fucking moron.

  • @Jeffo193 About 10% of what you said is true lmfao your retarded sorry

  • @TR0LLAL0T How did i get an A in my Ancient History A level then? You don't know shit, i studied the spartans for two years dickwad.

  • @Jeffo193 Shut up your another one of those retarded man children who knew somewhat of Spartan culture before the movie came out. Then after the movie came out every E-thug on the net started acting like a human history channel, and you expect me to believe you studied one culture for two years? You start cursing at me because i questioned your intelligence, ok Mr. college guy.

  • @TR0LLAL0T "Man child"? I'm 18. I'm so sorry you were offended by me cursing you, i don't appreciate people calling me retarded, especially when we're discussing a subject about which i know more than them.

  • @Jeffo193 You said your eighteen roflmfao then you said you've studied Spartans for two years alone and your still in college, LOL your such a fucking retard its not even funny.

  • @TR0LLAL0T I'm British ok, college over here lasts from age 16 to 18, i'm now at university, studying an undergraduate masters degree in Biomedical Science - just to prove to you that i am not a retard.

  • @Jeffo193 well fuck i speek dutch english is for the british can you speek dutch no so suck a shit fuck head and everything you just said was in the fucking movie come on you cant be that stupid can you come on you probley belive they like to dance around in undies and capes yeh you would and this off the top of my head is how many things the vikings owned ok north europe and parts of the east north england the hole of america iceland and greenland you fucking suck a dick

  • @MrThewaffen Mate, i got an A in ancient history, i know a lot more shit than you...the vikings discovered america, got the crap beaten out of them by the native americans and left, they tried to invade the north of englan in 1066, but got beaten by Harold Godwinson at the battle of Stamford Bridge...none of what i said is in the film you fucking moron. As well, well done for being bilingual, but which language am i supposed to learn? French, German? Spanish? Dutch? Italian? Mandarin? Fuck you.

  • @Jeffo193 Lmfao after reading your posts about the vikings i can tell your literally retarded. Any kid who goes to a decent high school in America and does his work learns all of that by 11th grade, and your sitting here saying you had to go to college for years and make an A in it to learn that? ROFLMFAO

  • @TR0LLAL0T If i'm retarded, why would i be sitting here arguing you from my university dorm room? I'll admit, i didn't study the vikings in college, but i know enough about them to be able to tell you that the spartans would have owned the vikings any day.

  • @Jeffo193 Yep like the classic retard, you have bad grammar for a college boy, and you change the subject after losing to "which culture (hundreds of years apart) would own the other one in a battle". "ill admit i DID'NT study the vikings in college" <--- the way you say it means your out of college already, but then you said your in your dorm room, hmmmm retard more.

  • @TR0LLAL0T College is different to university you moron. How do i have bad grammar? Aside from saying "arguing you" rather than "arguing WITH you" which to anyone with an iota of intelligence would clearly be a typo. Besides "Your out of college already" and "Your in your dorm room" should be "You're out of college already" and "you're in your dorm room" - seeing as we're attacking grammar now. Besides, i fail to see how i am a retard for knowing more than you.

  • @Jeffo193 You fail to see the obvious grammar mistake i pointed out, just please learn something instead of right clicking words and acting like a college boy.

  • @TR0LLAL0T You said "did'nt"...i said "didn't"..."didn't", i think you'll find, is the correct grammatical use.

  • @Jeffo193 Again you change the subject from what you started with, again i have a hard time reading your retarded ass grammar rofl you so mad.

  • @TR0LLAL0T You are a total and utter idiot. I pity you for having to make your way through life with such low intelligence. Moreover, I pity the people who have to put up with your utter idiocy as you attempt to struggle through. Goodbye.

  • @Jeffo193 Nothing more entertaining than to get a couple of jerks arguing the toss about what no one can really know about those days. Neither of you KNOW! You are summarising what youve been told at school. Your teacher said this, his teacher said that - so what. Thats all. In Od English women and kids could do no more than toss pots at each other, hence the name. Go figure ;-)

  • @TheBamski11 well theres one way of knowin and thats statistics how much did the vikings accomplish through war and how much did spartans? Did vikings ever beat armies more than 10 times their numbers? they are not too bad but dont compare vikings to ancient greeks biggest superpower BC

  • @Jeffo193 what a bunch of shit you dick head the natives never smashed the viking the vikings never wanted the land so shame and north england stayed under the viking rule until the anglos and saxons invaded england and took it

  • He should shave his chest hurt a lot back then!

The battles should be a breeze for the Spartans after waxing.

  • 1:41 DUCKFACE!!!!!! >:()

  • steroids!

  • People don't know that the Spartans invented the Hex Dumbell over 2000 years ago.

  • @faffaflunkie hahahahahha!!!

  • I`m sure spartans were on dat dere roids to beat those persians

  • the whole time i had to try so hard ot ehar bcuz the volume of thisclip is very low... and i didnt wan tot adjust my own volume on my speakers bcuz i like em to stay always at the same level lol..

  • michael fassbender was here!!!!!!!

  • Gerard is cool, man...and strong.

  • Oh Ive chosen my words carefully Persian

  • Gerard: "I had two trainers a week, I don't know what I was thinking"

    Interviewer: "THIS IS MADNESS!"

  • Dis guy's got da hole idear down. Well done, guy.

  • I thought he airbrush or painted his abs on?lol

  • 1:19 McNulty ! pfff knew it!

  • 00:07 "What is this?"

Well, I'll tell you what this is-

    This Is Sparta!

  • @NFMking lol, too easy.

  • @NFMking FUCK YEAH!

  • @NFMking But how does he kick himself?

  • @moorg745 well, i guess there more than one question he needed an answer to.

  • Not only were there the 300 Spartans, there were also 3000 Athenians who ended up leaving the Spartans to die when the enemy got them apart

  • @EEH197289 I don't believe the Athenians were fighting at Thermopylae. The Arcadians, Thespians, Corinthians, and others(like Daxos' troops) were fighting with the Spartans at Thermopylae, but I think the Athenians were busy fighting the Persian navy at sea, under the command of the Athenian general, Themistocles.

  • @44excalibur the Athenians were fighting the Persian navy at Artemisium also a narrow.

  • @brazuca711 Yes, exactly. The point being, the Athenians were fighting the Persians at sea, not at Thermopylae.

  • Niko you have a poor knowledge of history and movies. This battle is well known and studied by many in military schools. The movie is the first ever all digital production and very well done. This is based on very true story, but hey you have your opinion.

  • 84 people are jealous of his body

  • I so did not listen to what he said

  • most stupid movie in the world.

  • THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I thought this was Gerads first ever movie, why havent I ever heard of this good actor before.

  • @Leowen2 he played the phantom in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera as well!

  • So disappointed this wasn't filmed on a cliffside lol, and these dudes look trim but tiny, not that swole.

  • With all that make-up and CGI they still couldn't make Gerard Butler into a decent actor or a likeable actor!

  • wow gerard butler is in 300! i never knew tht he is the phantom

  • Ok he let himself go... people you must realize muscle has memory! If you workout and then let yourself go it wont take as long to get back into that shape as it did in the first place.

  • REALLY ? i THOUGHT THEY TRAVELLED TO aN EXOTIC LOCATION

  • He really let himself go after this movie. If I worked hard to get a bod like that I would keep it.

  • @ThePantyDroper how did he let himself go?

  • @nessie4215 He's not ripped and sculpted anymore. If I had a body like that I would want to maintain it and keep it.

  • @ThePantyDroper oyeah? in what movie after this did he let himself go? Gamer? (good body) Law Abiding Citizen?(good body) The Bounty Hunter? (good body) Sorry pantydroper.. he still drops more panties then you :-)

  • @SmackuSer hahaha, I'm sure he does. He admitted in an interview he let himself go after 300. I don't mean he got fat or out of shape, he just doesn't have the 300 body anymore. He said it's too much work to stay in shape like that which is understandable.

  • @ThePantyDroper That's because all the actors did an extremely-intensive 6-week supervised training regiment. They literally spent 6 weeks non-stop working to get as ripped as possible. It's not neccessarily even healthy. Gerard Butler is still very fit, and maintaining a body like that might have a negative impact on his life. It's not easy and it's not just a light work-out.

  • @SpaceTiger9 Ya the workout routine was unebelievable. He said in an interview that to maintain it is too difficult. You pretty much have to dedicate the majority of your life to being in the gym. I workout myself and fidning time to get 1 hour in at the gym is tough.

  • @ThePantyDroper yea back when i was in college i had a 15 credit load a semester worked 30 hours a week and managed to bodybuild for 1 to 2 hours a day...at 3% body fat..that when i was young..and it was too much work back then...all day long...that requires too much dedication on my part :(

  • @RJF1966 I find making time for the gym is worth it. I just bought a home gym now I can work out whenever I want. I like coming home from work, doing my workout and relax for the rest of the evening. I hated driving to the gym and it took up too much time. I'm off work because of injuries so I've been working out everyday the past 3 months as part of my rehab program. It's awesome, I wish I could always work out for 4 hours a day.

  • @ThePantyDroper The abs and chest are painted over, it's not real..

  • @TURBANILLUSION They really did workout for this video. His body is in fact real. Yes they did makeup on the abs and chest to make them look more defined but everyone in this movie went through intensive training.

  • @ThePantyDroper unfortunatly it most likely wasn't his choice, I'm sure hollywood had a hand in it when it came to having to look a certain way if he wanted a part in a new movie

  • @ThePantyDroper Maintaining it isn't any easier than getting it. It's a lifestyle that gets very old trust me.

  • @243t3ty356134 Ya I can only imagine how hard it is to maintain. just got into working out, started 2 months ago. Me personally, I can't see it getting old but I guess I need to be doing it longer. I'm mainly doing it because of health problems with my stomache.

  • @ThePantyDroper you do realize that they painted those on there right? LMFAO

  • @JaiBlaze They used makeup obviously to make them look more defined but he was really ripped for this movie. Look up "making of 300"

  • @ThePantyDroper easier said than done buddeh

  • @ThePantyDroper To maintain body like that is really hard work and i have better things to do than spending 4 hours per day in a gym. That would never work for me.

  • @ThePantyDroper yeah, but you have to work just as hard to keep it, as you did to get it....not everyone wants to live at the gym, some people, like Gerald, has a life and family.

  • @ThePantyDroper If you are an actor you have to do what the director wants... everything he wants... how do you think he got the protein?

  • @ThePantyDroper Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep a body like that? Especially when he's in his forties :P

  • @Jeffo193 haha, yes I do. I'm in my early 20's, I workout everyday and I'm not even close to a 300 body. I'm still flabby and weak.

  • @Jeffo193 Its called Hollywood dude, money, best supplements, and healthy food that actually tastes awesome.

  • @Jeffo193 Not hard at all..working out 40mins a day or 3times a week and dieting notting hard its simple man

  • @loveMovementJ No way would that work to do that...did you watch the video? He had to work out four hours a day, every day, just to keep that...and even then they had to add extra effects to accentuate the muscles and make them look good enough for the film :P

  • @Jeffo193 He was 37. Just saying.

  • @LilLuvYall ...and he's 42 now, therefore he's in his forties. Just saying.

  • @Jeffo193 the upkeep has to be unholy.

  • @Jeffo193 well not so hard because the muscelse will burn all the fat that gets into your body

  • @Snoffelfixx Only if you work enough: he says in the video it took him working out four hours every day with two trainers to get in that shape...no way can you maintain what you need on a day-to-day basis to keep that body :P

  • @Jeffo193 EZ with roids

  • @Gint3r Yeah but roids aren't good for you man, and Gerard probably knows that :L

  • @Jeffo193 They are good for you, very good in some cases

  • @Jeffo193 I suppose it depends what you use, how much you use and how often you use them, but i still think it's not a good idea to have them to maintain a body on a day-to-day basis :P

  • @ThePantyDroper ...he still has it you clueless fuck n ur 75 retarded likers

  • @ThePantyDroper its not that he let himself go its that he didnt have 2 trainers up his ass all day everyday anymore. he is still pretty ripped and im guessin he;s over 40. regardless he is a badass

  • @ThePantyDroper even keeping that kind of body is a very hard work, so be careful what are u saying ;D

  • @MiKocwalk You're like the 50 millionth person to say that to me lol. I understand as I work out myself. I'm having a hard time acheiving a body half as nice as the guys in this movie.
