Buddha said that people shouldn't agree with what anyone says or writes, no matter who they are, unless it agrees with our own reasoning. We should question what we read and what we're told. It's through our own experiences that we find the truth. Whether that woman really did have a near death experience or not is her own business. Happiness does not depend on the stories of others.
