The prototype stems from as far back as the late 50's - so I was told. In the 60's the engine really "took off" becoming very popular amongst fishermen, because of its simlicity, sturdines and ease of maintenance.
Good vid. Do you have any footage of those old single cylinder norwegian boats ? They made a "TONK-TONK" noise and were popular in the 30's and 40's.
