  • Good vid. Do you have any footage of those old single cylinder norwegian boats ? They made a "TONK-TONK" noise and were popular in the 30's and 40's.

  • :o( Sadly no! The last engine of this type (G-model, 1-sylinder, 8-10 hp) buildt was in 2001 or 2002. But this was one of the longest production-line in Norwegian marine-engine history. The prototype stems from as far back as the late 50's - so I was told. In the 60's the engine really "took off" becoming very popular amongst fishermen, because of its simlicity, sturdines and ease of maintenance.
