In the movie, like us, are not a free market society, the poor are resticted to certain "time zones" due to GOVERNMENT payment to cross timezones. Just like we are now, this is not capitalism in America, it is corporatism. There wouldn't be a problem in this movie, if the those without time (wealth) were free to pursue. But the are restricted by the government, they are enslaved. The problem isn't time, it's regulation. The problem isn't some have and some don't, the problem is the regulation.

Heck, let's just point to the plothole in this film where no-one revolted in response to getting a built in time limit.

i didn't like this movie, don't get me wrong it is a great idea for a movie, but they should have explained why the world is like this , why time is the currency and why you only get one year when you turn 25. (This is Just my Opinion!)
