I as a leagly boind person did not like the ice storm, it was hard to travel when I had to get from point A to point B. I live here in Louisville KY. I am not to big of a fan of cold weather.
I'm glad that mess is over. I hated it, even though it was pretty. But a week and a half without power was enough for me to never want to see a piece of ice unless it is in a glass with a drink, ever again.
@fragileguilt how does a ice storm happen? like wat causes i and wer does all the ice come from? or water or wt ever can u explain it to me pls, this is facsinating, engalnd is so boring nothing ever happens here :(
@670chris076 Well I guess it would happen like any storm. Water vapor from the warm air condenses into clouds. Turns into snowflakes. But when the snowflakes fall, they hit warm air turning them into water but before they reach us, they hit colder air and therefore it turns into ice. Or it could snow or rain and the weather is so cold, it freezes over. It's very pretty but very deadly and very dangerous. lol I love England, I find it extremely fascinating there :-)
Over in Crittenden Co. (the city of Marion) we are still with out electric. I'm only online with the aid of a generator. The reports is we have to wait another week or so. We are camping in the house!!
You should see Breckinridge county. It's Thursday and we still can't get out. Shelters are open but we can't get to most people to get them to a shelter. Part of living in the country I suppose. Great Pics.
