I'd encourage you to think of something happy when you sing a positive song and sad songs think of sad things, your tone and pitch will come naturally.

your voice has a sweet melody which tells the story and captivates our attention leaving us hanging on your every word - this is exactly what professionals who are sucessful in the industry now do to people, leave them wanting more, so i see no reason why you wont be sucessful.

excelent version. I have been trying to learn to play this and for me your chord sequence is much easier to get a good rythm and percussion sound for playing alone.

I also found that with the first chord (the Barred A - if I can call it that for lack of knowledge) if I take lift off the Thick E string during parts of the strum I can get a good bass going.
