  • Every famous truther died shortly after, Carlin, MLK, JFK, Lincoln.... all of them! I fear for Ron Paul.

  • @StalinLeninMao the corporations don't do the brainwashing, its people like stalin, lenin, and mao. You are a communist, and yet, do you realize that the worst corporation is the communist government of those three "leaders" in your name. Communism doesn't work, for if a ditch digger is getting paid the same as the best doctor in the world, what's the motivation to succeed or go far in life? Communism is a flawed system that only works if we didn't have any of the emotions that make us human.

  • the joker being honest

  • i love its truth

  • there you go!!!!

  • Vote for Nobody

    Nobody Will keep election promises

Nobody will listen to your concerns

Nobody will help the poor and unemployed

    Nobody cares!

If Nobody is elected, things will be better for everyone

    Nobody tells the truth

    Nobody 2012

  • @mjc0961 How exactly saying the public are idiots make someone bigoted... The public majority are idiots. I can back that up by telling you too look at the state of our country, the laws being passed on the regular, and the humans that the public choose to idolize. If you disagree or want me to give more specifics I would be happy too. The American public are brainwashed.

  • @Dutchie2TheLeft None of that suggests that anyone is brainwashed or that the corporations had anything to do with it. Bottom line is there are plenty of stupid (sorry, "brainwashed", because apparently to you being brainwashed just means that you're stupid) people in the world. Not just in America, but across the entire world.

BTW, bad news for you: You're one of them. :9

  • @mjc0961 And you.

  • "Americans are a bunch of brainwashed idiots, thanks to the corporations. America, wake up!"

Only idiot I see here is the idiot that wrote that ignorant, bigoted bullshit.

  • @mjc0961 No one said that. And it's not bigoted or even inaccurate.

  • @CoolerKing37 It's in the video description, so someone did say it, and it's most certainly another bigoted "Americans are stupid" min-rant that's so damn popular on the internet these days. If you don't think it's bigoted, I suggest you look up what bigot means.

  • 16 teabaggers and obamabots disliked this

    (Sorry, i couldn't resist)

  • VOTE NOBODY 2012! Nobody thinks your health and well being is more worthwhile than making a profit. Nobody deserves your vote.

  • best punchline ever

  • Best ever. LOVE GC! <3

  • This reminds me of watching the GOP debates, it's the audience in those that is the most scary.

Remember the biggest applause lines of the night each time?

Rick Perry has had more people killed than any Governor.. big applause that weirded even Mr Perry out

Sick men without insurance should be left to die, that was another biggest applause line one night

Boos for a Gay Soldier in Iraq

    Big applause 4 Cain's adultery

Poor children should scrub toilets and replace janitors who should be fired

  • The reason the USA is fucked up is that the jews fucked it up. Jews control everything behind the scenes. They're the ones who bought the US government. Jews are the ones who allowed all the mexicans to illegally immigrate because the jews want to destroy the white race. Jews are the ones who control wall street and the banks and are responsible for the subprime mortgage problems. All the problems in America have been caused by jews.

  • @RainbowConure Superiority is the favored shield for the pride of the ignorant

  • @RainbowConure no its you and me.

    not the jews,

easiest thing you can do is blame someone else

  • I wish I had him as a teacher at school.

  • Shity parents breed shity kids,so fuck'em.

  • Miss ya you old fuck!

  • bloody hilarious...thats the point i believe. stop moaning people and just have a laugh..if you care so much about being in the 99%....well get to work and get yourself up there to the 1%...personally im happy to laugh...chronic dis-satisfaction applies no matter how much or how little money you have (unless your hungry)

  • I don't agree with his religious views but aside from that I believe George Carlin was an absolute genius

  • @mvol5973 Brainwash yourself then.

  • George Carlin is a genius among other things, but not voting is just asking for your comeuppance. You people are just stubborn and lazy and are using this video as an excuse to pretend you're smarter than the voting population, which is utter bullshit. Yeah, kicking back and doing nothing is surely a way to get our democracy on the right track! Yes, much needs to change, but doing nothing by not voting is not the deed that will get it done, esp. when no one climbs aboard the lazy band wagon.

  • @BlatantlyBritt Who should we vote for? In America today, we have the Neoliberal Capitalist Party (that hates gays and black people) and the Neoliberal Capitalist Party That's More Open About the Fact that they Hate Gays and Black People. Corporate media will never give 3rd party candidates the attention they would need to get elected. If voting changed anything, they would make it illegal.

  • @Ceraziefish Guys like Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich...yet they're "unelectable" because tons of people like to think the same way and vote the way mainstream media polls tell them to.

  • @BlatantlyBritt Also, not voting != being lazy. I think it's much lazier to vote once every few years and absolve your conscience of all responsibility for society the rest of the time. I've been an activist for years, out in the streets expressing my opposition to war, corporatism, corrupt government and other things that screw all of us. Sure, I don't vote, but I do more than 90% of people who do vote...

  • @Ceraziefish Well then you obviously aren't who I'm referring to. Most of these individuals below me are lazy and use George Carlin and other opinions as an excuse to ignore politics all together, and twiddle their thumbs and say "ahh fuggit". Am I wrong? I commend you for being an activist, we need more people like you. And I will be rallying in St. Pete next week as a part of the 99%.

  • I haven't voted for anyone or anything since the early 90's - I agree with George "FUCK-EM!"

  • The awkward part of the argument that Americans are brainwashed idiots is that people like myself and George Carlin believe this, but we technically are Americans. I hope that doesn't mean we are brainwashed idiots too... >->

  • don't you all notice , how America improves immediately every time we vote on any of those presidential elections we like so much ? George Carlin was the best

  • selfish ignorant citizens , what do you get ? selfish ignorant politicians

  • don't you all notice , how America improves immediately every time you vote for one of this cock suckers who don't give a shit about you?

  • What a brilliant man Carlin was! From the comments I can see that most of you actually don't get what Carlin was REALLY saying. Those of you down on Obama... get a grip! The mess this country is in DID NOT, and I repeat, DID NOT start with Obama!! It's long withstanding. God forbid you should let the real facts/the truth get in the way of your beliefs!! Open your minds, look at the big picture....

  • Comment removed

  • @Tabbasue

    Agree 100%.

The political parties are beholden to big money who finance their campaigns and lifestyles. The only thing at stake in the elections is who is gonna get paid off first and whose cut of the pie is bigger. Lower class citizens are not invited to the table and our concerns are not even considered unless public perception is at stake.

"this country was bought and sold and paid for a long time ago"

    George was a genius

  • Or you could just vote and hope your candidate doesn't win so you can complain about whoever does.

  • I'd stop wanking and get off my arse if their was a box that said ' None of the Above' - a voice for everyone is true democracy.

  • Garbage In, Garbage Out xD

  • I'm an american who understands how fucking stupid everyone is around me. I slept while millions of idiots were watching the stupid inauguration today.

And because everyone felt so good about obama's presidency, the DOW dropped below 8000 points.

  • Dude, I guess I wasn't the only one. I just buried myself in my work. Listening to this helps! I voted for Nader, and at least my conscience is clear I voted for someone who is antiwar and not corrupted by the corporate powers. Regardless I know I am in the minority surrounded by uneducated delusional morons. Maybe in another 200 years we might be in the majority?

  • USA is fucked and one day it will realize how they fucked up by voting for a dick head like obama..

  • @amazingIndians Admit it, he's better than bush.

  • @MonicaKn17

No, he's not. At least Bush did things during his presidency - bad or not.

And if you noticed, Obama doubled the debt in less than 3 years. It took Bush 8 to get that far.

  • It's the same in every western 'democracy', only two sides to choose from, both practically the same policies. George got it right.

  • Exactly right shumich

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."-Johann Wolfgang von Goeth

  • If we Americans are so f*cking free, why do we have to mention it like every five minutes. If you really were free, you wouldn't even have to think about it let alone talk about it. "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose." -Joplin... I say the more you have to blab about freedom the less free you really are.

  • check out his vid. called consumerism. or the one carlin on the elite. amazing man. but alotta people can't take the truth. the truth hurts. they have to get to the mall anyway...or walmart of course.

  • Man this guy would be a good english teacher

  • Carlin has the unusual talent to say what I've tried to say to people in the most cogent, precise way. I study politics but don't vote. There's a two party system for a reason, two sides of the same club acting out the show. Obama is the new puppet to replace Bush, and was necessary to appease the angry masses. P. Diddy made voting embarrassing with his "vote or die" campaign. Oh yeah, Bush stole the 2000 and 2004 elections with voting fraud.

Don't vote, it counts for nothing

  • @UNCERNTROPY Bush didn't win with fraud, although I do agree that Obama is the new puppet. What made Bush win was the way he reacted to 9/11, for he had low approval ratings before it, but after it, he responded so well that it proved his worth for reelection. Voting does count, think about it, if you don't think voting matters, then you convince more people to not vote, which results in a chain reaction of nobody voting and the changes that result from that aren't what they could've been.

  • @eminemkd1 Voting doesn't matter. Ever heard of the electoral college? Your vote doesn't mean anything.

  • hilarious

  • The sad part of this last campaign is people making their votes based on stupid advertising shit for Obama like videos of him dancing and a stupid "catch phrase" slightly more descriptive than the one Homer Simpson has. How stupid are we?

I wish George was here to laugh at America with me and enjoy this great little economic depression we're having.

  • fuck memorial day, fuck veterans day, fuck mlk day, fuck 4th of july, what we need is george carlin day

  • i second that!!

  • @chingonhinojos

    fuck you

  • @dogincat12 fuck you

  • @chingonhinojos I read Milk day...lol

  • good choice on the video length

  • I like it, but I wont subscribe cause the fuckin thing is out of sync!

  • Carlin wouldn't have been a communist either. Your video of great Carlin shouldn't really help your cause.

  • I´m sorry about my lack of hope on human nature, but I honestly don´t think that we are capable of saving ourselves, much less saving the earth or the poor kids. Look at history, what has changed over the years? nothing, it is all an illusion thinking we can change something. I agree with George Carlin when he says the only thing we can vote on is what flavored ice cream you want. Democrats, Republicans, Socialists, etc., in the en they are all the same.

  • Yes indeed...I agree

  • We cant a thing because we were conditioned that way.

    Its a self preserve mechanism.

Becaming aware of it is the first great step

  • Dennis Kucinich was too hard on corporate America while Ron Paul was too hard on banking institutions.

Sadly they didn't get the recignition they deserve.

  • such a shame tho he passed away before the elections...

  • CAPITALISM: Is not the problem, in a true free market society where the goverment has little involement, is where people are have true freedom. The freedom to either succeed or fail its up to you.

GLOBALISATION: This I agree is the problem it relates to communism, socialism, and further more collectiveism

  • "where people are have true freedom"

You mean the freedom to struggle through life if you were unlucky enough to not be born to wealthy parents? The freedom to waste your life with meaningless work, or to subject your life to an authoritarian relationships with bosses, landlords, and corporations? Do you think life was peachy for the working class back in the 19th and early 20th centuries, when there was little regulation?

  • Globalisation is a capitalist agenda. It's about breaking down protectionist barriers of countries in order to free up trade. Consequentially, we get the exploitation of foreign workers and resources to feed developed countries. So instead of Indian farmland being used to feed the hungry in India, we get them growing GM cotton to make t-shirts in America. Yay.

  • this so true, we suck, all of us, and we deserve what we get, obama hussein obama is gonna make george sr and jr look like fucking angels, i garontee!

  • My mom thinks people who don't vote have no right to complain. I should show her this. XD

  • "We don't have people like that in this country, everybody's at the mall..." This one literally put me to tears.

  • (In refference to the user)

Its adorable when the simple minded think themselves supperior than other simply minded because they can see others flaws.

"I am wise in that I know what I do not, and in this inperfection know myself no better than another" - Socrates

George Carlin R.I.P., The worlds lost another revolutionary

  • the world is full of primitive minded fuckheads!

  • I would love to be in an activist organization, if you have any suggestions I´m happy to listen. Its just that all the organizations, parties, or anything to do with politics or social issues end up currupt or end up going the wrong path because of the masses. It seems the more people get together the more you loose the objective of things. Power, money and interest is what in the end dominates these movements, but if you have any good suggestions I would be happy to listen

  • Which one of his Dvds is this video from?

  • I really love the guy and agree with most of his insight. But I think that if you vote you have a right to bitch if the delegate doesn't perform! If you were to hire someone to do a job, and they did a bad job you would have a say-so! I do agree with him on the government not giving a shit about the general public. Make no mistake, there a social classes in this world and they are taken seriously!

  • I see your point but, when you hire someone and they don't perform you tell them to pack their shit and fire them! When you elect some jackoff for president, we're all fucked for the next 4 years. And regardless of what you say and how you bitch, it doesn't change the fact that you elected some incompetent asstard into office. George W. Bush is a good example of that. People voted him in TWICE and now they want to bitch about how he fucked up this country. If you voted him in, I say STFU!

  • When you vote you are also voting for a system that has failed to do its job, along time ago I might add, and it is time to fire the system. The idea that one set of people can rule over another simply because they have guns and money is disgusting. You own your body and your life and your labor. I want to live to see it fall, fuck em!

  • I don´t mind people voting, but my question is, what has voting done so far? take 1916 for example, when Wilson was being endorsed by many workers in favor of not going to war, what happened when he was elected, in 1917 when Wilson asked for a declaration on war (not for the good of America, but for the good of the guys with big pockets full of money). What has changed over the years, simply we have less rights, the list is getting shorter. Last question, what would happen if no one voted?

  • I wonder what would happen if no one voted? no votes, hehehe the big guys would go crazy =) it would be a wonderful day when after all the marketing campaigns for politicians, all the investments and all the media, that the day of elections came and not a single vote, what would the politicians do? what would the business who invested in their campaigns do? what would the people do? reform? or simply got weaker? I respect the people who vote as long as they respect me not voting.

  • Tyrant comes from Tyrannosaurus Rex, when archaeologists noticed that many of the dinosaurs were terrorized by the domineering nature of the T Rex. People started using the Tyrannosaurus to mean any person (especially a leader) who was as domineering. It was shortened to tyrant.

    Maybe not.

  • Tyrant started off as a person who went from the common class to ruler, usually in favour of the people. Then it got twisted into a bad thing.

  • I don't understand why you hang yourself up on a name? Does names change anything? Does even the person who posted it matter? The video is equally 100% TRUTH either way!

Perception does not change reality, so stop being so stupid and getting so hung up on the deliveryman, when the message is what is important! Are you really THAT easily manipulated? Suppose that proves even more...

  • lol, but is if funny that the user posted this video yet is supportive of tyrnnical, mass-murdering leaders.

  • It's a shame that someone like StalinLeninMao had to post this. He has a twisted of America who apparently cant realize that Communism DOESN'T WORK. Not to mention it has spawned the worst tyrants/murderers in history.

  • Hasn't capitolism spawned tyrants and murderes as well? Not to mention greedy, self absorbed crooks who make up the strenuous game of cat-and-mouse in the legal system?

  • I can't think of any tyrants that have been born from capitalism. How about you name some for me.

  • I was meaning tyrant in the metaphorical sense, but if you're looking for literal...Some people consider Bush to be a tyrant, some expect Obama will be. Not exactly correct, but, like I said, metaphorical.

  • How can tyrant be metaphorical?

  • Anything can be metaphorical. It's not that hard to visualize if you're familiar with the definitition.

  • I am familiar with it but Bush or any other President isn't a tryant. Not even close.

  • As I said: metaphorical. Are you familiar with that word? Or should I read you the definition?

  • Tyrant can't be used as a metaphor. It doesn't make any sense unless it's used properly.

  • You really don't understand the meaning of the word "metaphor" do you?

  • Yes I do. It's a comparison of two objects without using like or as. You can't compare someone to a tyrant unless they are a tyrant.

  • Yeah, you can, actually. Dramatic purposes, argumental amo, etc.

  • But they still have to be accurate. Would it make sense if I compared The Pope to a tyrant. No it wouldn't. It doesn't matter what purpose I used it for. If they are not alike then you can't compare the two objects.

  • Again, yes you can. It might not be a good comparison, but it's a comparison nonetheless.

  • I suppose but it's still ridiculous.

  • Depends on how you define "tyrant". For example you could say that any US president involved with the Vietnam war, and senior members of their administrations were tyrants as far as the Vietnamese people were concerned, with that war claiming 2-4 million lives and wrecking the country. Look at the Iraq war in the same way to identify other tyrants. In fact you could look at the whole history of colonialism to get lots of other examples from the ranks of leaders of capitalist countries.

  • There is only one real definition of tyrant.

" an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution b: a usurper of sovereignty

2 a: a ruler who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally".

  • The word "tyrant" has a bit of a history. You're right as far as the modern usage of the word is concerned, but classically the definition was less precise meaning something like "illegitimate ruler and despot" which could be applied more broadly.

  • lol. So true.

People get what they deserve. People voted in George Bush (Oil baron) and his vice President Dick Cheney (CEO of Halliburton) and then they wonder where all these wars come from and all these corporate crimes come from??????

  • I agree with larma and Carlin but the host of this video is foolish as well. We would be worse under Stalin, Lenin, or Mao.

  • lol, yeah if only we had Stalin and his genocide of 60 million people, then we'd be on the right track!!!

  • Sadly the user who originally posted this video had it taken down. Now the one with the video who has the most views is StalinLeninMao. It takes away from the impact of this video once one sees the username.

  • It only makes sense that this user would post this video. He does not believe in voting; he just does what the "Party" tells him to.

  • neva gona vote wen i get old enuf cuz its so true

  • Im with george on this one 100%! never will vote i dont trust anyone.

  • What he says about shuffling the same shit around every four years is particularly pointed given the way Obama, the supposed alternative candidate, has turned out. Obama is as much a return of the Clinton Administration as Hillary would have beem.

  • what's with the irish music at the end lol

  • I voted for nader,08!This helps to explain my vote!I had to leave my tiny, minute statistical fuck you to McSame, and Hoe-bama!Ron Paul needs to get started on the republican spot in four years, and then the,"Fed"will be fucked for once!I vote other!!!! Love~GILLA~1ness

  • that's the power of george carlin. He basically just told the audience that they suck (cos they're part of the American public right?)and they end up cheering him! This was really a man who dared to mention things no one else would and get away with it..if he was still alive, I'd rather he be the president.

  • I agree with kiddtaak, not everyone. i have a terrible time dealing with the public not everyone.i dont vote or ever will.

  • i wish i was american america rules

  • stop playing shit and forgetting the other countries and states . All say "america rules" . No offense to the other americans . really. but you , fu !

  • excuse me

  • fuck you russia!

  • I'm not from russia thx ?

  • i read these posts and discover you all think the same. YOU ALL AGREE.

FIND EACH OTHER AND DO SOMETHING BESIDES SURFING THE NET FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY

  • I'ma go git Betsy and have me a hoe-down wit some Politicanas... I'ma fix there trakter!

  • "They don't fall out of the sky...they don't pass through a membrane from another reality...."

    Sarah Palin did!!

  • You're an idiot...

  • You're an ass.

    Kiss mine.

  • wow, thanks for making fun of my nationality, really. i couldn't care less on how most of the planet hates America's guts. but let me ask you a question; Is it the American people or the American government that you hate?

  • Easy. Government. I've from NC by the way.

  • the government pisses me off, too. but thanks to Obama, the American economy will crumble. won't that be a great sight, seeing America in a depression, again.

  • Carlin was just saying what alot of people feel, maybe the crowd felt the same way. And he is generalizing when he say "the public" it doesn't mean everyone.

  • I haven´t voted for years now and I stand proud of it.

I created a civilization based on knowledge , not stupidity or ignorance , and we are composed mostly of nearly 200 people,

    cheers,

    y

  • Same here man, I haven't voted for years either, and I do not ever intend to. It's a complete waste of time since the electoral vote, not the popular vote, determines who gets into the white house. And even if popular vote DID actually count for something, I still wouldn't vote because all politicians are lying bastards who will say anything to get elected. And once they get into the white house, they will do only what they have to, not what they promised. Fuck 'em all, I say.

  • I'm with you!

  • The public cheering at a joke about them sucking. You gotta love it.

  • I did not vote because both canidits were awful. I hate it when people say that stupid mindless idea that if you dont vote you have no right to complain. first of all who are you to tell me what rights i dont have? second, not voting is a vote also because it shows you do not trust the people running. third, voting for someone who you dont agree with or do not trust is just stupid and you deserve to get fucked over if you do that.

  • They were 6 candidates on enough state ballots to win the election

  • I don't vote, never have & never will & I can recall when I 1st saw this stand up it made me feel even better 4 not voting & Georges argument 4 not voting is right on. Thanx Carlin 4 giving me more reasons 4 not voting & 4 having the guts 4 saying a very unpopular thing. Especially in this day & age of where voting is pushed in peoples faces & people try to make you feel bad or ur a bad person or ur not Americans 4 not voting.

  • It was Ron Paul or nothing so fuck it

  • True. Obama is just another puppet of the "owners". This stands out clearly because he doesn't want to disturb the power the "owners" have - the Federal Reserve. President Paul (2012) wants to do this which is why he was never mentioned on Australian tv. Not once.

  • Your 100% correct. The american media also ignored him and gave him almost no attention.

  • out of the two choices available i would have chosen obama. but i decided not to vote today for a number of reasons. for one,the system is set up so that no matter how many popular votes someone gets, the electoral votes are always the deciding factore. this is why a third party will never win. plus, how do we even know that are votes are counted accurately. remeber in 04 with all the mix ups in florida and ohio. the elections could so easily be manipulated by the government.

  • george carlin doug stanhope bill hicks...guys make a lot of since...and i didnt vote either, never have never will. too bad these guys didnt or dont have the ambition to run for president

  • I did not vote today and I did not make "history."

In fact, I got up, ate some pizza rolls, drink a gatorade, went back to bed and slept until 1:30.

  • You are a hero. I say this only with partial irony.

  • I left the house today but I didn't drive within 15 miles of a voting station. :D

  • Haha, I didn't leave the house at all today. It is true. Fuck Obama and McCain. I do however enjoy two sessions of masturbation. Sometimes I can pull three.

    RIP GC

  • he couldnt be more right, the public does suck!

  • The Public Sucks! Fuck HOPE!!!

  • I don't vote, but I do change the mind of a real voter. That's a two vote swing in my favor. And I don't have to go out and waste my time.

  • i still cant believe he died. not only is he a great memory of my child hood on thomas the tank engine, but he is my favorite comedian when i grew up

  • Makes you think and laugh, great video

  • hahahahahahaha ....amen

  • yeah i miss spell alot

  • a curse of society

  • he points the flwas out

PEOPLE ARE IGNORINT..well exept this audience

  • nailed it

  • RIP

The reason why I'm staying home today.

  • why? you could always vote for Mickey Mouse! A true American Hero.

  • Me too man! Didn't leave the house all day except for school. Fuck voting! RIP George.

  • this is probably the only thing that keeps me surviving through today. fuck hope.

  • Zombie Reagan - '08

  • I'd vote for Zombie Reagan.

  • you know he is a comedian right ? you stupid tard lol

  • so what does that mean? you think he is automaticly right or just wants to joke about nothing? george believed what he said and stated it as a joke inorder to get his stupid self concious point across. bore me with some more.

  • god you are built of fail

  • ...huh...?
