I hate to break it to you I worked for Verizon....they are idiots. When the iPhone first came out Verizon called the iPhone a failure and they wouldn't partner with Apple. Verizon uses CDMA which is so old school and their "3G" is more like 2.5G. As far as Coverage I get awesome coverage on ATT and I live in the sticks...serious middle of nowhere!! I get full coverage on ATT and 0 bars on Verizon....CDMA lacks the punch needed to get far from the towers. Sorry my bet is Apple will keep ATT.
I don't know, I'd hate to see iPhone, such a good phone, go to such a stupid carrier like Verizon. Only my opinion. Sprint is fairly decent, but it's much better than Verizon.
I should add that AT & T and Verizon coverage here in New York is almost the same, even T-Mobile's great here and I think Sprint is pretty good too. Depends on area. The coverage here is usually best from T-Mobile, AT & T and sprint, Verizon usually has the strongest signal, and is pretty reliable, but among the people I know, plenty of dropped called, and 1-2 bars where everyone else has 4-5. I have also had the displeasure of experiencing Verizon myself. I'd prefer to have T-Mobile or AT & T.
I would also agree. Why would Apple want to downgrade the technology in their phone to work on CDMA, which is an aging system that no one else in the world uses!!! No one else in the world uses it because it sucks. If Apple needs to find a new company then let it be T-mobile....at least they are GSM and not CDMA. With T-mobile Apple wouldn't have to ruin their high tech product with ancient slow useless signal format.
Love the intro! And I really think Sprint should get the iPhone. in Durham Sprint is really fast! But my parents have verizon but sprint has the pre and more phones.. but i dont care verizon or sprint!

quick comment, the verizon coverage map is a lie, ive had both companies, and i argue honestly that at&t coverage is better.

i'm already with at&t and the service isn't as bad as everyone says but it's not great
for me i don't really care because i already have a phone and an ipod touch
i know it would be nice to get an iphone but even the old 3g is $60/month
