when i went to Cruffs in march there was a soilder dispaly and this soilder and his dog was due to perform there. it was so sad and everyone held a mintues silence in respect for the brave man and his dog.

According to the presenter he died as a HERO, he died due to enemy intervention. When a soldier is a Hero? When he dies? when he returns home harmed or unharmed!!!??

Soldiers are there because leaders want more free resources like Black Gold, we have already reached Peak Oil and now is time to take other countries oil and for that they have to create and international problem and then send the military to secure their needs.

@PerivaleBuses That being said, they are just doing their job and every member of the British Armed Forces has my support however the greedy bureaucrats that send our boys into these conflicts will receive their just deserts one of these days.

@LostInTransition13 I agree, they should send their families to the battle field so they can get a taste of it. Some of our soldiers were getting picked out by Iraqi snipers whilst on city patrol, totally nasty!!!

I believe that we should fight in our soil and not going to someone's "yard" to pick a fight.

I was once in the TA Royal Green Jackets but never in combat.

Whenever I hear the words, Wooton Bassett, my heart sinks. Another wasted life. A politician of courage would say; "ENOUGH!" There are none in the UK government, though.

My dogs died within days of each other so I believe it.. but I couldn't imagne one without the other and why should they make the journey alone.
