Michael Jackson, John Ritter, and Whitney Huston all died. I wanted to meet these wonderful diamonds one day but that didn't happen; It would be a dream come true if i was to meet and spend one day or evening with Susanne & Joyce before that too comes to an end. I'm 27 and every time I watch Threes Company I feel i'm part of the era or i'm part of the family of Threes Company. Every time I would get the blues i will watch Threes Company and like magic my blues are all gone. Thank You All :)
@dnr4499 I wouldn't push it. We don't want them getting mad at each other and not speaking for another 30 years. They're not going to live that much longer.
LMAO!In he first 30 seconds, Sommers explains the great gift she got and then her arrogant self went and blew it. Funny thing listening to her arrogance explains why she would be fired. A good thing came out of it. We ended up with Priscilla Barnes (Terri) who was much prettier and funny without being stupid.
Hey Suzanne, we watched for Ritter, you and Joyce were the supporting actors.
@DanKelso Yep, I got the whole series on dvd and watch the episodes still, but more often the watch the last 3 seasons with Terri as opposed to the earlier ones with Chrissy. Too bad we did not get Terri from the beginning.
I am 51 now didn't watch it alot when I was in High School but I love this show now it is far funnier than anything on TV now, it was risque without being vulgar today they just say it back then they used subtlety.
Truthfully, I think Suzanne Somers is a bit wacky. But she played her character amazingly well. I would have never known she wasn't a trained actress. Chrissy was a ding bat, but she was just as intricate a comedic character as any, and it was flawlessly done. It's not the same on TV anymore. I don't know what the difference is, but something is missing. There's no substance to characters anymore, with a few exceptions like Modern Family and the Big Bang Theory.
It's sad how so many people my age seem to hate this show and the actors associated
I used to watch Re-Runs of this show with my friends from Middle School in the mid 2000s, although the show was before my time I thought it was easily the best sitcom ever.
@KaeruthePaladin I'm 30 and it wasn't my era either, but I watched the show religiously on reruns. It's wonderful that people in your generation watch the show as well. But I'm not surprised.
Three's Company will always be one of my favorite sitcoms, that's why I have all 8 seasons on DVD. It is still so funny today as it was back then. John Ritter was and still is amazing. What's better than a really funny show with women running around in pantyhose? Would love some rare rehearsal footage.
Sean Hayes, actor from Will and Grace - would your production company be interested in producing this script idea that 270yis has come up with a couple of posts below? Anyone know how to contact him? Any IMBDPro members out there reading this?
YES YES YES!!!! Please pitch this to Suzanne!!! There is SOMEONE monitoring these message boards, and your idea is VERY much worth pursuing!!! I'd watch in a heartbeat - and there are MILLIONS of Generation X like ME who would watch such a series. Suzanne, Joyce, and Jason... with an intelligent script, this could be the next Hot in Cleveland....!!!
It'd be cool to see them do some comedy together again...perhaps even in character as Janet and Chrissie. Without John Ritter/Jack Tripper, however, the third, critical part of their triangle would be conspicuously missing.
Although I just had an amusing thought of Joyce and Suzanne as older versions of Janet and Chrissie being fussy aunties over Jack's son, played by Jason Ritter. =)
Suzanne, Joyce, and Jason... with an intelligent script, this could be the next Hot in Cleveland....!!! Don't be greedy if they offer you money for the idea - it is YOURS, but don't let it ruin an opportunity to recreate a great show idea!!!
oh, HOORAY! the whole world rejoices that those two bubbleheads finally after 40 years are now on speaking terms. I hope its short lived and they start pulling each others hair and whipping their hairbrushes at each other too.
I'm so glad that she and Joyce are finally back on speaking terms. I still can't believe Joyce let it go on for that long, even after John's death, but now they've finally manage to move forward.
God bless you Suzanne for doing this reunion. You and Joyce are all that is left from this iconic show. You look fabulous for a woman of 65. Unbelievable you are 65. Rest in Peace to John Ritter. Miss him terribly. What an enormous loss. Looking forward to the reunion.
in the beginning shows Suzanne's "Chrissy" character was not very ditzy like she became as the shows progressed..wonder why they took her character in that direction...(not complaining.. :-)) Kirk...Montreal, Canada
I watched Three's Company growing up with my sister after our parents thought we had gone to bed because they said we were too young to watch the show back then; and now after both my parents died in 2008 & haven't heard from my sister since then; I watch Three's Company once again every night in bed; it will always be my favorite sitcom of all time!
Really wasn't expecting this. I made a bet with my brother 9 years ago when the biopic of the Three's Company movie came out that I'd give him 50 bucks if you and Joyce were to ever reunite and talk things out. Can't believe the day finally came! So excited!
You are still so beautiful btw. Hard to believe you're a grandma.
I can't wait to see it! 30 years to long. Too bad John wasn't around to join them. I still watch the show to this day. It's so funny! You don't get that comedy anymore.
I began watching "Three's Company" at age six in 1982. The way you played your roles was brilliant. I began getting the jokes as a teenager. To this day, when I'm down, nothing makes me laugh like "Three's Company."
Do you think work conditions are getting better for women in show business?
In closing, I'd like to tell you how proud I am of you for getting together. I've missed Janet and Chrissy all these years.
@Tunes1976 I do think it's getting better for women. I just asked to be paid what they were paying the men and I was fired for it. I know since that time I have heard of actresses renegotiating with unity to make sure no one was left behind. Some have even confided in me that they said, "Remember Suzanne" before entering the negotiations. Equality takes time. We've made a lot of headway, but women still don't make the same as men.
her wikipedia says she is 65 years young? i refuse to believe it. she's gorgeous.
