Nokia will loose shares from the smart phone business and the only thing killing them is so called limitation "Symbian". I remember when the CEO of Nokia said that they have more than 1 Milion lines of code in Symbian and Android have few times less (1 year ago) - I didn't know to laugh or to cry (people who are aware with android will understand what I mean).

how Apple revolutionized the phone industry is amazing. unlike nokia who has been here for more than decades and yet created different styled phones with similar capabilities. they didnt even care about the user interface. not until iphone came and changed nokia forever.

yes iphone copied the functions of a phone but they enhanced it into an amazing product.

nokia had music phones before apple.. capacitive touchscreen is not iphones tehnology.. nokias screens are superior to iphone.. screen resolution on iphones is bad... nokia use oled screens on there best phones, superior to the old tech screen on iphone.. it use up to 60% less battery and better image... it`s only normal to get more apps when the screen resolution gets old.. s60phones have always had more apps than you need... symbian phones was the first real app phones..

symbian 3 is not like s60.. I can`t live with the down side of iphone.. htc hd2 is a phone i am looking at.. no way I will buying a old tech iphone.. even if it was half price.. it would still looks like a bad deal to me vs great phones like sony x10 and htc hd2...

I have not owned a nokia tied to a carrier the last 15years... but most iphones in norway are tied to carriers... nokias growth in touch phones was 4070.8% from 2008-2009.. form only 536210 sold phones in 2008 up to 22364000 in 2009.. 29.5% of all touch phones sold in 2009 was nokia vs iphone 33.1%.. iphones growth was only 82.9% in 2009 vs nokia 4070.8%.. 2010 is the year when nokia will sell more touch phones than iphone..
