Its a tricky process but it can be done the gun store near me wants 1300 for there PSL which i didnt want to spend. So I ordered the psl from classicarms had it sent to freakshow manufacturing Michigan they do a cal legal service then from there it was shipped to my local FFL legally, because it cant be made cal legal in cali it has to be sent cal legal. All said and done it cost me 920 to get it to me
Bad position to fire that particular rifle. The gun has a kick I'd compare to a 12gauge shotgun beacause the rifle is light and the bullett is rather heavy. Ideal firing position for SVD is to reach over something about the height of your shoulders. Like a trench for an example. This guy is leaning over the rifle not towards it. The optics comes awfully close to one's eye because of the short butt. The SVD is a classic 'designated rifleman's weapon'.
Actually, American tacticians got to the same conclusions as the Soviets, but prefered their tradicional rifle concepts. M16(more properly the AR15) is more suited for long range slow pace fights than urban/Close quarters battles. That´s another reason why American soldiers are having a hard time against Iraqis in the city.
The M-16 was/is not a "traditional rifle concept" in any way. It is an assault rifle, just like the AK. In fact, action in Afghanistan has shown that the M-16/M-4 (not called the AR-15) has lethality problems at long range.
Now, you might want to prattle off and "read some books, dude."
It was serviced to replace the M-14 rifle as a multipourpose weapon. The M-16 IS an AR-15, M-16 is just the DoD designation. With traditional I mean in the tactical point of view, not technically.
true true m-16 has almost no pwer compared to AK-47, but although AK-47 has power it lacks accuracy :( if only it were more accurate and it would be the best gun on earth
AK47 was designed after soviet tacticians realized firefights occured in ranges of less than 300mts, so really the AK is a close cuarters rifle, while M16 is a long range, more accurate gun. The SVD was designed especifically for ranges of 600mts and above, to extend every squad´s range.
Actually the M16 effect range is only 100m +/-more than the AK's 300m. Accuracy of the M16 is the fact it's an overwhelming tight tolerance gun and also it refering to it in early FullAuto setup with little recoil and light little bullets being the biggest contributing factor.
nahhhh, M16 is way more accaurate and it is faster. Ak-47 is more powerful. I used to like the AK better, but after lots of reasearch, my veiws have changed. AK, machine gun. M16, Rifle
yeah definetly. Ak isnt plastic like M16 either. But TRUST ME, i own a AR 15 and my cousin has a AK. We were shooting one day and The ak is not as accurate. But if i was alone in my own little war, i would want a AK, but a m16 is more accurate and lighter.
I do say so that the AK is king of assault weapons. In reality you shouldn't even be shoot at an enemy over 200m+ away if they don't even see you. So accuracy is not necessary, but reliability I do say. Shoot at the bastard if only you know you can hit them and hit them hard otherwise stay quiet and wait your turn. heheheh...
How much accuracy do you really need? It's not like an AK can't hit a body wide target @ 0-200yd. In fact that is all you really need. What the point of accuracy, it's not like you are trying to hit something in the same spot more than once.
I know what an SVD is. I have a chinese clone (NDM86) in 7.62x51. I ask cause I couldn't see the rifle clearly in that video. And guy in the video didn't say or show a good angle of his rifle.
The Dragunov is NOT a sniper rifle, its a Designated marksman Rifle

The russian guns nice and very very good. I tink the russian guns better than US guns, because the US guns (For example: M16) often must cleaning.

nonono see the military channel ak is trully the best of the best m16 is in 2nd
M16: it jams, the bullets explode in the mag etc.
AK: it doesnt jam, doesnt explode, and it even after the water gets on the weapon and mud, it can take it on
