I thought both movies were great, I'm sure the third one will be just as good, it's a remake you have to change it up a bit, if he didn't you might as well just watch the original version
Personally, I'd like to see Rob come back & direct a third installment, so he can finish off a trilogy. Besides John Carpenter's Halloween, I think Rob's Halloween 2 is the best of the series, & I'd love to see what other angles & stories he could exploit & explore in a third film.

I'd prefer that when H3D actually goes into production that they leave the 3D part off, because no Halloween movie needs 3D bullshit. And I'd prefer they move on from the brother/sister thing. It's been done in eight movies, let's see something else besides him chasing/killing family members.
And for what it's worth, in my opinion, Rob did the best story to date involving Michael going after his sister.

@bigtakilla i thought the scenes in H2 where she was slowly breaking down were awesome. i think having your parents murdered, your best friend almost murdered, and you yourself almost murdered all on the same night would be a pretty mind-bending experience for a regular 17 year old girl. i thought scout did such a believable job showing that breakdown, especially in the psychiatrist's office when she begs for pills. nothing against jamie lee, but she had like 4 lines and wept in the original.
@LTobin39 I seen the directors cut and really I didn't see any character development on Laurie's part. When she woke up from her "dream" she was screaming and annoying. And the character just seemed to stay that way. And if you take out all the fucks, Scout only had about 4 lines as well. Now, tell me Rob Zombie doesn't owe me my $15 dollars for the horse shit I seen in theaters. I would not have seen another Rob Zombie Halloween film. @LTobin39 Hate to burst your bubble, but Curtis' Laurie Strode IS iconic. The originial is ALWAYS where the bar is set, and most people are very resistant to tampering with iconic originals. The objection seems to come more in the area of characterization than anything else. Many weren't pleased with direction that Laurie was taken in the Zombie films.

H2 wasn't a bad movie, however there aresome bits I didnt really agree with...like how Michael knew where the Bracketts house was :| and that a whole load of people were murdered and yet no noticed and I also didnt like how Annie was only around to answer the telephone, it just seemed that they under used Danielle, although I'm glad that she was in it and that she was through out the movie.

halloween 2 sucked!!! actually i dont like the actress who pays lorie!!!! jamie lee curtis was like 1000000000000 times better!!!! and had a stronger personality!!! from the old H. i liked the 5 and 6 one! the story continued to be the same and i liked the scripts and murdes.!!!! but the next one H20 was dissapointing! i mean lorie had a child and grandson but never asked about her!!!! they should have made a connection! I'd prefer that when H3D actually goes into production that they leave the 3D part off, because no Halloween movie needs 3D bullshit. And I'd prefer they move on from the brother/sister thing. It's been done in eight movies, let's see something else besides him chasing/killing family members.
And for what it's worth, in my opinion, Rob did the best story to date involving Michael going after his sister.

Rob Zombie has a history for casting lousy actresses i.e. his wife Sherry, Leslie Easterbrook in the Devil's Rejects and now Scout. BTW they shouldn't do Halloween 3. but she did really good.
H2 was total and absolute shit. sure it had a moment or 2 of greatness but even that couldn't help that movie.

My advice to Scout is to turn down Halloween 3D, no matter how good the script looks. It will be a shitty movie. Between H2 and April Fool's day, she obviously doesn't know bad scripts from good. Wicked Little Things was good.

The new Laurie had a complete breakdown. Becoming a loopy bitch is not strength. If you'd like to explain it, I'd LOVE to hear how you think it is. Picking up the pieces and carrying on is strength. @bigtakilla i thought the scenes in H2 where she was slowly breaking down were awesome. i think having your parents murdered, your best friend almost murdered, and you yourself almost murdered all on the same night would be a pretty mind-bending experience for a regular 17 year old girl. i thought scout did such a believable job showing that breakdown, especially in the psychiatrist's office when she begs for pills. nothing against jamie lee, but she had like 4 lines and wept in the original.

And the character just seemed to stay that way. And if you take out all the fucks, Scout only had about 4 lines as well. Now, tell me Rob Zombie doesn't owe me my $15 dollars for the horse shit I seen in theaters. I would not have seen another Rob Zombie Halloween film. South Park roadtrip to get my money from Rob Zombie.

The objection seems to come more in the area of characterization than anything else. Many weren't pleased with direction that Laurie was taken in the Zombie films.

Part three was okay as a non Halloween movie. And Rick Rosenthal directed part 8, just so you know.

if the script sucks? didnt she do two. nothing about the movie makes me even want to remember her, just recast her and be done with it. H1 was good, H2 holy fuck, really a piece of shit.

She sounds like she is just being loyal to Zombie... Which is fine, but Weinstein is taking the saga over...and that's good! Rob Zombie took an 8 part series and expected to remake it. He can't stop at part 2. If you're going to start something, it needs to be completed. So, good job Weinstein for finishing what Rob Zonbie won't!

I think its a very smart choice for her. I mean, I loved her in the first Halloween, she expanded as a character and was really good in the sequal, but if the script sucks, DON'T DO IT!

I think with the amount of footage they had they should of added a whole lot more into the story which would of made it even better and more realistic. I think H3 deserves the go ahead theres still so much of a story to tell and espescially from how H2 ended, I mean look at the original series 8 films...not all good but still. I think when she said that "It needs to stop" I cant help but think that maybe thats abit of Rob saying that?

H2 wasn't a bad movie, however there aresome bits I didnt really agree with...like how Michael knew where the Bracketts house was :| and that a whole load of people were murdered and yet no noticed and I also didnt like how Annie was only around to answer the telephone, it just seemed that they under used Danielle, although I'm glad that she was in it and that she was through out the movie.

Nobody has the same style as rob what are you talking about! he has old skool styles & your a hater..Difference to tell between haters like you is people who say H2 is a peace of shit or Rob is horrible.. or people who just say i didn't like H2 which is their opinion & mature but no theirs dick head haters like you out their =)

lol...H2 was ajoke...it had great cinamatography and atmosphere,
but it did in no way feel like a "halloween" movie, save for the beginning dream
sequence. After that sequence, then the movie went down hill.

@eyecthruunow H2 wasn't that bad. With movies series', the third one usually is the one that ruins the series from then on. T3, Godfather 3, Creepshow 3, Alien 3, Blade Trinity et cetra.
