@xDemonChild The Japanese language uses Chinese characters. You may know them better as 'Kanji" (which means Chinese characters anyway). So I expect someone with an understanding of Chinese to understand some Japanese sentences, especially if there are a lot of kanji in that sentence.
@leonard267 Of course. Kanji is from China, that Japanese also use. They may have a same Kanji but not a same Meaning and accent. However In Kanji we also have Hiragana and Katakana, so we don't recall it as "Chinese Characters", Sorry :) I might be rude but If you said "Chinese characters" in the Japanese Characters, Japanese people might hear it really badly.
