Jeetje 15 jaar terug alweer!....maar ik zou toen uitgaan na het songfestival, ging wat mensen ophalen die dit op hadden staan, en die hele huiskamer waar ik was ging net zo uit z'n dak als 't publiek daar!!....je voelde gewoon dat er een historisch TV moment werd gemaakt door Ruth&Paul...en met de nummers uit de voorronde van'93 hadden we nog zeker 6 jaar kunnen meedoen....stuk voor stuk prachtig!!

Vrede werd die avond (mede door het telleurstellende resultaat, 6e) volledig ondergesneeuw door het fantastische duet van Paul en Ruth. Wat een geweldig TV moment was dat. Mooi dat dit op YouTube staat!!

Great to find this clip here! Seeing it again, 14 years after I first saw it live, the two of them singing 'Blijf bij mij' at the end still gives me goosebumps.

Great performance at the festival too. Great song. Should have won or at least come second.

This song should have won but due to very very bad camerera angles and the worst shading in ESC history ever she became only 6 th

The song Paul de Leeuw and Ruth Jacott sing at the end of this clip still gives me the chills of recognition!

This song became 2 nd in the Dutch final wasn't it ?

This was a great song and should have come much higher than sixth place. With all due respects to the UK it should have been Ruth Jacott and not Sonia who was battling it out with Niamh Kavanagh at the end. If it is any consolation, Ireland (my country) gave Ruth 12 points. The Irish really liked this song.
