  • wow. now i know. thanks for info.

    all social networks!

  • complete bullocks. I have used SNS for about 3 years they don't help your business sites. SNS are just for loosers who don't have a life.

Stop using sns get a LIFE

  • EZDIA is also a networking site where you Signup and Start Earning , as well as you can create your own Knowledge Bucket and Post content and get Paid for that.

  • eZdia is a site where you can make your network in both, socially and professionally. which helps in the growth of social business

  • A new networking site also brings you the feature of a search engine and freelancing. The reason it works so well is that it consists of professionals and experts. If used wisely it can give a much needed boost to your company and even provide you with part time and full time freelancing jobs.

  • Very nice video and nice done social network is growing. That why on my website I have social network search were you can type a friend name and see if they are with 7 social network sites. Just go to my profile to see.

  • Sometimes I feel all the targeting a bit suffocating and patronising...

Please let me bump into things I haven't thought about, and let me read stuff that happens in other parts of the world - don't force me into things I already know of, have seen, etc.

  • Katalinfenyo, you can't be serious, surely?

Social Networking Sites are probably the next big thing, and are going to dominate Web 3.0. They make, and will continue to make, our lives easier. The books, the music, the events, the news, the silly videos, and whatever else I've digested over these last two years or so, has largely came my way through these type of sites.

I think I know what you mean about the targeting, but why on earth would you like walk around with your head in the ground...

  • ...ignoring the fact that someone/thing is making your life a damn site easier.

Think of a supermarket with all of its products simply just dumped into one giant bin in the ground, and each time you wanted something, you were to climb in there to look for something, and simply hope to find it. It would be useless, and frustrating to say the least. Nowadays - agreed somewhat - we are targeted each and every time that we login to one of these sites, but you are not forced to buy what you see...

  • ...on your account, just as you are not forced to purchase every item you see advertised at a bus shelter, in a newspaper or magazine, or in a store. You have the power to act upon the advertising. Ignore it, find out more, or purchase it. Simple!

  • ...(OK my last post for now) I guarantee that you will see more and more businesses getting involved, and soon Social Networking sites will grow in importance for businesses, and just as Web 1.0 was a dominant force for business in the transaction of goods and information, Web 3.0 will play just as vital a role in the future, with innovation and collaboration in the driving seat. (OK I'm done, sorry to have gone on for so long!)

    ;-)

  • Excellent video. By the way, I'm not sure how other people feel about targeted advertising, but it really doesn't bother me. I would much rather get ads that interest me than the usual date sight ads and such.

  • This is very informative indeed.

  • why are you talking?

  • This was rather informing!:) Thanks

  • Thank you, this was dearly insightful!

  • pretty cool!

  • You've put together a really interesting presentation, illuminating as well as entertaining. Thanks.

  • Ô sotaque do caralho.

  • This is a great video !

  • Yep, you have to clear those cookies out every time you leave a website. Daily adware scans are advisable too. Of course, then you just get random, nonsensical ads that you also have no interest in.

  • You almost make it look like Google spying on you is something good, with it's targeted ads. But that doesn't mean Google's bad. Right information in the wrong hands, anyone? Oh and one more thing: I don't get it: Why is Joannes link labeled as "Joanne on Facebook" while it clearly shows a myspace-Link? Any developments I missed over here?

  • a brilliant whistlestop guide...i'll show it to my luddite friends ;)

  • really great info, and I like your size-relative map. I'd like to look at it more, is it online somewhere? :)
