Did this job when I was 18. Neither rain, nor snow, nor humid heat of a New England day in July could keep me from my appointed rounds. Helluva way to keep the weight down too. Between the exercise and the starvation rations living on my own on $5 an hour (1995) I was in the best shape of my life.
I just got home from Walmart night shift. I actually did have to go out into the parking lot to wrangle shopping carts. As I watch this, I am sipping on Pabst Blue Ribbon. >:D
They should have one for real woman of genius because I'm a girl & pushed carts at my job for over little a year but I finally got fed up trying to push them in the snow & peolple trying to run me down with theyre cars & they let me work inside in gm which is were I work now so now they try to down with theyre carts, but still beats working outside(especially in michigan weather)
I would beg to get the carts back in the 60’s; it meant getting off the GD cash register. If something was $1.29, you would press, dept key, 1 . 2 9 and the enter key. And that all went much faster than the bar code scanners of today, much, much faster. I’d milk it for a half hour and talk to girls in the parking lot.

I use to bring in Carts all the time in my job I current use to have. Pushing carts was a pain in the ass when people wouldn't place them in the "Return Cart" area. ><;;;
I have to say this was one of the most fun jobs I ever had, especially at walmart, see people go in see people come out...see people leave me free sodas on the bottom of the shopping cart rack.
I have to say this was one of the most fun jobs I ever had, especially at walmart, see people go in see people come out...see people leave me free sodas on the bottom of the shopping cart rack.
@Poncho4NCVox the first few years does then you get used to it after a few more years i still have my up and down moods when bagging and taking in carts -_-
I worked at Safeway here in Vancouver Canada, where we never did get into selling beer & wine, which is probably a good thing. You see we have Beer & wine store here, there and everywhere, it's a private enterprize i like!
I've done this job before and it's so true. Under paid, not appreciated and looking at all the cute girls as you're pushing a stack of carts in from the harsh weather outside.
Did that in high school. Hated everyday I went to work. The only nice thing was I could get out of the store and didn't have to deal with any co-workers.
i wasnt allowed to wrangle carts , i got caught giving them away at night so people could roll their drunk friends home from the bar, so it was back to pumping gas
The Former Wrangler Himself Comedy Geek says "Very sweet!".
But not particularly funny. I kept waiting for it to start, and it never did. So despite it giving mad props to someone with, as I know from bitter experience, has a really horribly shitty job, I can only give this unfunny spot, at best,
true. i work at circle k after class and part time during the summer. with the asphalt, and plus the cars radiating heat, it gets crazy hot. and then when it rains people are more likely to leave the carts right next to their parking spaces so they can get in the car faster. you have more to go after. not a bad job, but piss me off when some of the cashiers say i have it easier because they stand there all day.
I worked with a guy that looks just like him. We even had green smocks so this brings back memories. I could totally imagine him bumping into something while checking out a girl too. HAHA
Been there done that. Easiest job I ever had. Seriously, 60% of the job was just standing next to the store taking with the other guys. Plus another 20% was walking around the parking lot talking while bringing the carts up.
im serious too! ive had my car dented by assholes who just leave the cart sitting out in the lot, then the next thing you know , a stiff wind comes along and crash, theres a $500 deductible.
Ouch...I had to pull carts today. It was 40 degrees the wind was 40mph All I had was a thin track jacket and the person who sent me out there forgot I was still outside. ugh.
from 10 degree heat to 110 degree heat. from rain to snow. from 5 carts to 50 carts. its rough out there but someone has to do it or you guys would never have any carts!

I used to push carts for a store. Set an 88 cart record. Not only that, but it was in the winter too. My legs locked out after that stunt for about an hour.
omg you have my ass rollin......that would have been a great scene in one this commercial. My son did it for a Christmas job and we laughed like crazy when we heard this. I feel for all the peeps who have held this job.
