I camped outside of the front gate for 3 days in 1983. I was a peacekeeper with the 101st Airborne Division near Sharem el Shiek. It was so peaceful with an occasional bedouin stopping by and enjoying a streak with us. We were able to take a walk up the trail with no tourists, because no tourist ever came there with the exception of one bus of European tourists. I was promoted at the little chapel down on this video. This has brought very spiritual memories for me.
tourists are getting ripped off thinking this is mt sinai. mt sinai is in Saudi Arabia.
