Wonderful!!! I remember the rivalry/tussle between Dele Abiodun and Emperor Pick Peters and the wonderful music that came as a result of that. Pick Peters' 'Peter L'aja kan' to Dele's reply 'E kilo f'omo ode'. For me this period was the highest peak for both musicians.
@TAWE2006 you know your music, but you made a mistake though..Dele did not sing "E kilo fomo de"Sunny Ade actually sang that...Dele sang "kele ti gbe paddi yen suegbe akoko omo ode"....also sang others like "Abanije senu gbobgbon".."E je ka soro fun baba won"..im a collector...lol...great times
I have checked Dele Abiodun on u tube several times with no luck. Thanks to 22jan51. This is personally a gift from you to me.And I receive it with great appreciation.Though we need more stuffs from DA.
This Guy is just great. Hey Planetolusola, is your alias in High School ALUMA? You gotta be.Because I remember how Aluma used to sing DA (Dele Abiodun)'s songs showing off.Aluma sounds just like DA.
I love DA greatly. I respect him a lot. He deserves the BEST for his contribution to world muzk
I had so many aliases in high school, but not Aluma. the ladies called me 'oko omoge' and my jealous friends called me 'obotunde ijimere' lol. Anyway, those were the days when Dele Abiodun and KSA reigns supreme on the juju charts. I will pay any price (money of course!) to lay my hands on Dele Abiodun's collections.
gwt in touch Planetolusola i have a lot of the old Dele jams...Pick Peters,General Prince Adekunle..and of cos Sunny and Obey..get in touch before the end of the year and ill sort u out for a small fee of cos...
He's well and very much alive. He's now the president of the performing musician association of Nigeria. although not releasing any new songs, you can find him on the Nigerian music circle promoting young artistes. Growing up, he was my favorite juju artiste next to king Sunny Ade. In high school, I used to memorize all of his songs and sing it to my friends just to show off! How did you get this clip by the way?
I like this so much

You are right my brother (or sister!). I realised my mistake afterwards. It was indeed Sunny Ade who sang 'E K'ilo f'omo ode'.
tawe2006 2 years ago
hey ABBIHH, could you post Abanije on youtube. I think that was Dele Abioduns Debut and best.

the west has copied the tradition of "spraying" money when singing / dancing, but mainly in stripclubs
