i own a small factory farm, we raise our animals in good environments. from what i have seen most places do a good job in treating the animals as best as possible. it makes me sad to see some people using primitive techniques to produce their products. things should not be this bad but people have to eat and survive

i agree i don't like the way they are treated on SOME farms, however saying that we are omnivores we need fruit veg and meat to survive, most of the animals on farms are bred for that in mind so yes i sympathies with the animals that are treated cruelly but most farms treat their animals with great care until the moment of slaughter.

If you look it up, humans digestive system weren't made to eat meat. Weve the same teeth as herbivores, and weve the same body structure as herbivores (we wren't made to attack wild animals).if you look at a lion or even a cat you can easily see they were made to kill and eat other animals. When we first evolved, humans must have seen other carnivorous animals eating others. Meat was only available, and that what happened. Also vegitarians live long lives and carnivores have heart problems.
I've seen videos where they pull the skin off animals while they are still alive, they are still moving when you can see there organs.... It really makes me cry, atleast give them a quik death....
What I do agree with is that animals should not be hunted for their skins, fur, tusks etcetera. But I'm afraid meat-eating is part of life. It's sad, but it happens. Question for juliagogreen: I love my meat, milk, eggs, ham, etc. Is it possible for me to have this amenities without having to support companies that cause animal cruelty. I live in the city and having to go to the rural areas to buy *this* amenities is not really an option. What can i do to help and stop this cruelty from happening?

Oh I apologize, I missed that part. but you could have replied in a less hostile way. And I live in Los Angeles, and i still find time to occasionally take a trip down to get some venison or quail. But if there is no way you can get your own food and you refuse to eat what is provided for you at a store then i suppose your only option is fruits, vegetables, and protein pills.
I hate thinking about it and because of animal cruelty I refuse to eat mammals. But, when there were tribes living on this land, they respected the animals and some of the animals have been known to come to the traps, preparing for their deaths.
This video is not demanding that everyone become a vegetarian, it is to show the mistreatment of animals in factories that produce produce from said animals. Animals may still be killed for hamburgers and the like, but it must be done humanly, which as this video shows is impossible once the business becomes industialized.
Very powerful - this is the type of video that can open people's eyes and actually convert them to veganism. It shows just enough of the brutality to really get your attention, yet does not beat you over the head with it. Movies like "Earthlings" are also extremely powerful, but the majority of people would turn it off because they couldn't stomach the images, and for those that do - it's preaching to the choir. The farm sanctuary images are a wonderful resolution. Thank you for sharing this.

You do if your out in the wild (most likely). I am going to give up on this sick society ( I mean look at what we are doing this is a good example) Im going to live off the land. And i will hunt. and i will absolutely use whatever i can of that animal and respect it. although i do not like to kill animals it is an inevitability if you are to live out in the wild like we all should. Shadow, many people have said they want to kill people for a certain reason, the mentioned include gays, blacks, and women. Saying that a group of people for a certain reason should die is unethical, no matter what the cause, we should rather hope that someone simply stops doing it.
But sadly, meat-eating has happened for millenia, and it will not stop. Humans are capable of doing it because we cannot see directly the impact this has. It'd be better if we only ate animals that died naturally.

Being a vegeterian is kind of big sacrifice and those who choose to take it are propably very wise. But when being vegeterian you need to eat all kinds of stuff in a totally weird way. I mean protein (I´m not sure if it´s spelt that way or not) is a lot easier to get from meat. I know the way they slaughter the poor innocent animals is cruel but even though I may be called a murderer for eating meat it´s way too far from a murder just to eat it for anyone to have a right for that.

Question for juliagogreen: I love my meat, milk, eggs, ham, etc. Is it possible for me to have this amenities without having to support companies that cause animal cruelty. I live in the city and having to go to the rural areas to buy *this* amenities is not really an option. What can i do to help and stop this cruelty from happening?

Oh I apologize, I missed that part. but you could have replied in a less hostile way. And I live in Los Angeles, and i still find time to occasionally take a trip down to get some venison or quail. But if there is no way you can get your own food and you refuse to eat what is provided for you at a store then i suppose your only option is fruits, vegetables, and protein pills.

I hate thinking about it and because of animal cruelty I refuse to eat mammals. But, when there were tribes living on this land, they respected the animals and some of the animals have been known to come to the traps, preparing for their deaths.

This video is not demanding that everyone become a vegetarian, it is to show the mistreatment of animals in factories that produce produce from said animals. Animals may still be killed for hamburgers and the like, but it must be done humanly, which as this video shows is impossible once the business becomes industialized.

Very powerful - this is the type of video that can open people's eyes and actually convert them to veganism. It shows just enough of the brutality to really get your attention, yet does not beat you over the head with it. Movies like "Earthlings" are also extremely powerful, but the majority of people would turn it off because they couldn't stomach the images, and for those that do - it's preaching to the choir. The farm sanctuary images are a wonderful resolution. Thank you for sharing this.

Ok, first things first. I'm not a vegetarian, but watching that makes me feel sick, how can we do something like that to poor defenceless animals?!?!. I know many of you vegetarians will disagree but if you are gonna eat meat, do it a humane way, Shot in head, Gas them out (The type of gas they cant smells but kills them, with out pain) ETC. But treating animals like that is NOT right.

If a fox's leg gets stuck under a fallen tree, there's little chance of a human or animal helping it unless they were passing but these animals are being tortured & it's just wrong!
