trust me onkyo is good, i got the 545 speakers itself, im getting my new asus xonar soundcard next week, it already sounds amazing on my xfi xtreme audio. that is with flac files (lossless). they dont distort at all, you can only bottom them out, but they might distort if its a lot of mid voice tones and there heavy on the bass. sounds clean even if you turn them up at full power and they dont lose their dynamic sound
