Wow if youlooked at the wall there you would have seen that I scratched my local
radio station on the wall. I slept there drunk at least 2 times . I had to play MP quite a few times as being a e5 volunteered as it got me off the boat during duty days . I remember going to that bus stop on the hill downtown a finding NAVY guys making out with some of the local girls and I had to break them up and tell them to go back to the boats . Man those were good times!!
I remember those those days I was on the Andrew Jackson as a IC2 (SS) and remember those days and this was when you were going out on patrol or sea trials ? If going out on patrol meaning going out for 2.5 months at sea . I miss those great times I had downtown in Danoon scotland playing snooker and drinking with the locals . I even loved that place that had games 3 pool tables and slot machines . Had a lot of fun at th Blue dolphin club also. Now even the Enlisted club is not there
@ncrdisabled Hi! Yeah, Dunoon was a trip, wasn't it? I remember missing the last liberty launch a couple of times and having to sleep on the floor of the boat house at the end of the pier. This video was taken on the way out on patrol - not sure exactly where we were but it's somewhere near a rock called "the ship". Good times!
I served with you onboard the Clay from 86-89. RM1 Gobel used his camcorder to video us during this 118 day patrol. Do you recall that? Do you know if the video is posted anywhere? I've left messages on a few 625 sites, but no response yet. Thanks! (former FTB2 Brown)
@submariner50 - Hi, I remember you - it's funny how I remember most of my shipmates like it was yesterday but can't remember where I set my coffee five minutes ago! Didn't know about the video you mention but it would be great to see some of it. Will try to get more of mine up soon. I have one of the "Amazing Massey" hypnotism show (will have to edit it a little to protect the innocent). Great hearing from you!
Still looking for RM1/ss Gobel's video of the Clay's final patrol in '89...........
