  • Highliners look more colored

  • So then i was right, the New CSS&SB cars are basically Bi-level Cars with Electric motors...cool

  • did the new fleet take over the old fleet,or are they both in use

  • both are still in use

  • make some more nictd highliner videos.

  • Its got that new smell !!!

I thought that metra's old highliners were supposed to be retired, so the new one can take its place

(Did you here about, that cta is asking metra for permission to use their tracks for the el trains)?

  • @Acela4000 How would the CTA get their trains on to standard non-electrified track?

  • @Amtrak1194 Let me think, the skokie branch used both 3rd rail & cantenary but at certain sections of the tracks. Now its 3rd rail throughout the whole line, but some of the cars still have pantographs on top of their roofs. Now back to your question, The cta green line "L" is closer to the metra electric tracks which I believe that is not far from jackson park? In my viewpoint, the cta should re-build that strecth of tracks and have a ramp that will merge along with the metra tracks.

  • love how the new cars sound like a jet plane on the high fill.

  • wow there are new wow no locomotive because it runs on the pantrograph

  • Man Chicago got some neat looking trains out there. You wanna know what's ironic, you railfaned in a spot where part of my book took place.
