Good job on this painting. You should check out my roommate's painting. He's a fledgling artist but I'd say he's pretty good. Search "2astronauts". Good video again, peace.
I love your paintings and would love to join your classes if you ever came to Europe. Any chance for that? Just can't get enough of your art.... Thanks!
I like work on dry surface. It is easier. But this painting has more wet on wet layer. Only the impasto was on dry. The rest were on wet surface. It took about total 2 hours over 2 different days.
Very nice. Still life painting, whether oil or other medium, is the most difficult thing to tackle, because of the complexity the subject imposes. Great deal of intellectual (artistic) approach is required, doesn't it? I never succeeded in this area...
at the beginning i thought -- oh no what has she/he done to the canvas! then towards the end i was stunned. wow... now i gotta try and copy that for my coursework.
Thanks for putting yourself out here! Can you PLEASE recommend any artist in s'pore who are doing workshops?? there are so many in the states, and i can't seem to locate any one doing them here. thanks!
Hi, I understand that. I used to work for Singapore Watercolour Society and we organised workshops too. Will keep you informed if there is one. Just email ngwoonlam(at)yahoo(dot)com so that I can keep your name in my mail list.
The video is an art piece in itself...I am deeply touched by your willingness to display your painting in process. Watching someone with such expertise is a great honor. Thank you! I will go to your website.
There are many good painters in singapore BUT unfortunately they are not favorites of mass media. YouTube is one of the best channels to expose ourselves. Google my name Ng Woon Lam to know more about me and I have link of many good Singapore artists. Best regards, Woon Lam
Hi Woon, thanks for posting your fantastic painting demos on here, you have a wonderful fluid style and its a real pleasure to see the technique. I first saw your work in this April edition of International Artist, stunning work! Best wishes to you.
o man you're from singapore? lol you inspire me to start painting! i'm stuck mostly to graphite..... how long did it take for you to reach this lvl of painting? really impressive. its so hard to find people in singapore who paints decently.
