@bialert Look up in the top right corner of the captions windows. That red thing is a scroll bar. (It's a very poor design). Scroll down and you should see "French"

@bialert Previously, one could close the captions simply by clicking the CC button again . It looks like they have changed it. Hover over the CC button and note the red scroll bar in the top right corner. Grab it and scroll all the way to the bottom. There is an option to turn the captions off.
