i love how there are all these guys saying that chris' tapping is ''nooby'' heh well that lick is just face-melting. As for my tapping i find it easier to use my middle finger so i don't have to mess with the pick at all. but it really is just a preference, find what works and do it. geez silly guitarists

it pisses me off when people use there index finger to tap. i know chris can use his middle finger, so why did he use his index?

@ibanezxiphos700 Does it really matter how you tap? I mean I can understand what you are trying to get at, but if you can play the song with your index and make it sound tight like you would with your middle, I don't see what the problem is.

@ibanezxiphos700 Plus, it is probably a lot easier to go from that passage into the next. If you look he's holding his pick in his middle.

@ibanezxiphos700 hey man, i actually use my index, middle and ring, depending on what Im playing. sometimes all of them at the same time. like everyone says, it doesn't matter, there is no wrong way to tap on guitar.

i know you can, but when people tap with their index ( just anyone in general) it makes them look "nooby" to me. thats just my opinion though. i think your a great guitarist though

one thing that bothers me is the tucked in ring finger on the fretted hand. some of my favorites do it, but thats actually "bad technique", not just a pet peeve of mine.
