  • Do you have a video explaining how to deep clean your brushes? I tend to use a mixture of baby shampoo and rubbing alcohol to clean mine because any shampoo alone doesn't clean well and leaves a residue. But I'm afraid the alcohol is bad for my brushes.

  • You know I have to wonder if dirty makeup brushes can also cause premature aging. I've read about makeup collecting pollution and other nasties when you wear it around all day. So especially if you reapply during the day and don't wash your brush, you are getting that gunk from the environment on your brush and will apply it to your face later. And supposedly environmental pollution, etc can cause free radicals which damage your skin (wrinkles?).

  • I recently washed my makeup brushes using laundry detergent. I left them to soak for the day and dried them overnight. I normally wash them with shampoo and swirl them around my palm to get the nasties out. But I find that doing it that way takes lots of patience and the brushes aren't clean well. When I soaked it in detergent, my bristles turned white again. Normally, it would retain the color of my foundation but hey, so far it has worked for me.

  • I LOVE YOU i have acne and you help me so much xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i dont get it i rarely wash my brushes, and i dont get breakouts, and i have had acne before.idk lol

  • looovve your top

  • gorgeous outfit :)

  • @DiamondsAndHeels14 I watched a youtuber talk about these amazing cosmetics disinfecting spray/wipes. It's called "Beauty So Clean" & it disinfects brushes, lipsticks, eyeshadow, powders & really any makeup product. We transfer bacteria/germs on our makeup but never think about it because how would you do it & I just found out how. Btw,alcohol ruins makeup & changes their composition so don't use that. Let me know if you try it out :)

  • Sephora has a spray to clean them and a spray shampoo to deep clean the brushes. I get to lazy to use my spray to clean that i don't clean them at all :-(

  • i have a question. my acne treatment makes my skin very dry and flakey. whenever i put any makeup on, my face looks very cakey and dry. i put on moisturizer everyday but this does not seem to help. any solutions?

  • You remind me so much of Taylor Swift!

  • i love you so much!!!!!!!!

your the sweetest cutest nicest blogger on youtube your just so cool!

  • Shit i havent cleaned mine :(

  • this reminded me i need to clean mine

  • Wow thank you for that!!!

  • How often and how should I clean my brushes? Maybe make a video about that? :) So far i have just used shampoo on mine.

  • Can you do a video on how to get ready for a party, dance, or big event? Thanks and you're videos are very helpful!! And have a great new year!!

  • Blot extra virgin olive oil onto a paper towel then swirl your brushes in the towel to extract the color. Then using Luke warm water wet the brush tips, not going past the metal part. Then put a small amount of baby shampoo or a natural shampoo like Lush or Garnier Natural Shampoo --- they're not harsh so they won't harm your brushes, Resnais after rinsing and place on a paper towel to dry over night! Viola, clean brushes bb. ;)

  • dirty eye makeup brushes can cause stys, and all those terrible painful things :(

  • Could you like do a video of HOW you clean 'em? :-) You didn't talk about how you cleaned them totally (95%).

  • I wash mine with baby shampoo

  • that kitten was so cute, like if you agree!

  • Can you do a video about heels?? Like how to find the right style heels and what colors to wear.. how high they should be and maybe where to buy them etc etc? THAT WOULD BE AWESOMEEE : ))) .... andddd maybe another hair video.. how often you get it cut.. what style its cut in? : ) THANKSS!!!

  • Could you do eye makeup glasses tutorial? I know you don't wear glasses.... Please

  • Could u do a tutorial on your hair really pretty x

  • In addition to washing my brushes i pour the powder foundation into a cupcake liner to keep from contaminating the whole container

  • Is this the same with eyeshaduw brushes?

  • @Pandahighfive no:) just wash them to get the colour off from last use.

  • I use macs brush cleanser with tthree tablespoons of alcohol and cliniques makeup remover my brushs sit in the bowl for around 15 minutes and then i rince them with just a normal.makeup brush shampoo i got from walgreens

  • your foundation doesn't look too good /:

  • I LOVE!! YOUR HAIR IT'S SO PRETTY!!

  • You look very good in that outfit! :)

  • Yea, what's the best way to clean them? Products to use to clean them? Dishwasher safe? (no detergent?) That's high heat sanitization. For now I use unscented Soft Soap hand soap and scrub the brushes in my hands. Ahhhh, help!

  • all that talk about the importance of keeping clean brushes, can you do a video explaining in depth how to clean your brushes? spot cleaning and deep cleaning, etc? please and thank you!

  • Acne? Pimples? Breakouts? Zits? how are they different? :)

  • @fluffffyheart i really wanna know too >.<

  • yea, i also wanted to see how you clean your makeup brushes..hope you will do a vid on that soon :)

  • Yeah I was also hoping u would show is how to clean our makeup brushes and eliminate bacteria some what.

  • I usually clean my brushes with alcohol after I use them everytime, and then wash them with water.

  • @laCathiee you can actually clean your makeup with rubbing alcohol

  • @markgirlshylee I do that and it has worked better than soap and water.

  • i've never gotten acne off dirty brushes, but i'm just very lazy when it comes to washing brushes lol

  • Did you know/have you tried Murad's Anti Acne Body Spray? It has a 360 degree nozzle thing, so you can hold it upside down to spray your own back.

  • Liquid foundation itself can grow bacteria. Could you do a video on how long you can use makeup before you should throw it out? When does certain makeup (foundation, mascara, eyeshadow, etc) expire?

  • Honestly, i love it when you're videos are 10+ minutes long. It gives me something to do when I'm bored... and i don't know... it's just.. blahh when u get my full attention and then your videos over right away. So don't be afraid to make them long! You've got at least 1 fan who loves the :D

  • Can you test the Neutrogena SkinClearing Oil Free Makeup foundation? It's a little more expensive than most drugstore foundations so i want to see if it is really worth it

  • so I'm assuming makeup itself has bacteria then? Because you're putting your bacteria-infected brush onto your eyeshadow/blush/bronzer. (and you can't even clean those....lolol)

  • @laCathiee Depending on what type of product it is, you can probably get a spray bottle of alcohol and spritz your products (as long as you don't use too much). I've seen some makeup stores us wipes to clean pressed powder make up as well.

  • You cant use your hands for loose powder foundation like I use...

  • Soooo how should you wash them if bacteria likes moisture?

  • I use alcohol to wash my brushes after every use. They dry really fast, all bacteria is dead and it doesn't dry out the bristles at all.

  • I don't want to sound gross, but I've not washed my blush brush since I had it a YEAR ago and I've never got any acne from it. Max amount of spots I've had is like 4? and that's on a REALLY bad day! I guess I'm just lucky. :D

  • @DiamondsAndHeels14 Heyy Cassandra!! I have a question about tea tree oil..Have you ever used it? I heard it works good for cystic acne(:

  • how do you deep clean the brushes? :) love your videos.

  • my skin have actually improved since i started using brushes, i do wash them at least once a week allready, but they wont dry over night, i try doing it on weekends because they never dry in time, if i wash the brushes on for eksample a wednesday it won't be completly dry the day after, what can i do to make them dry in time? it would be quite helpful to get some advice :))

  • @marapprech you can use alcohol to clean your brushes and they will dry within hours!

  • @elenah2348 i have really sensetive skin so i try to avoid alcohol as much as possible :/

  • what lip color are you wearing? :]

  • your beautiful :)

  • i just cleaned my brush right after i watched tiz vide0!! <3<3<3

  • Great video

  • @str1616 I'm going to recommend you check out lovemelissamichelle she recently posted a full drugstore foundation review video for many drugstore foundations....it really helped me, hopefully it can really help you too

  • hey girl your skin looks soooo amazing in every video!!!!! congrats on your skin getting clearer btw!! lol i know this comment is completely random and all over the place lol but anyways what is the best drugstore foundation ??? in your opinion i just tried the revlon airbrush mousse stuff omg horrible!! i want a little bit of coverage i do have redness and blemishes i dont have oily skin only tends to be oily in summer time !! ??? what would you recommend even if its one i car sheer out?

  • this video made me ill... will definitely wash my brushes more often! thanks for this!

  • Except for the long nails on your hands, loads of bacteria right there.

  • WHERE DID YOU GET THAT SHIRT

  • @SugarPieHoneyBunch10 Hi sweetie! Express during the summer :) anytime spring/summer shop around- there are such cute nautica things out, especially this season!

  • how do you/should you clean your brushes?

  • i like your videos and stuff. but, sometimes you're an airhead!

  • How do u get rid of dark spots from acne pimples!

  • The bacteria story and how it keeps growing inside of the brushes made me feel like it was some horror movie, now I will always keep my brushes clean!

  • Your hands contain a lot of bacteria as well. Even though you wash your hands and disinfect it, think about the things/items you touch prior to applying your foundation. Plus you have long nails! Tons of bacteria can grow on your long nails:/

  • olive oil works for deep cleaning. michelle phan has a video on that

  • can you do a video on WHY we should/need to use toner? be so helpful if you did :) thx! oh and love your channel so amazing!

  • Could you do a video on how to enhance natural beauty?

  • HOW do you deal with body acne and still show your shoulder/back off like that?

    Please share the secret. :)

  • @SchonDeysii lol hi dalrin! i just try not to care about what people say :) i realise they are probably more concerned about themselves, and i try to not think baout t! also, if you have long hair and wear it down it helps! worst to worst, use a cardigain or cute shoulder scarf/shawl! :)

  • @SchonDeysii I recommend dead sea exfoliated scrub, it doesn't get rid of acne nut it prepares the skin well for moisturizing and it looks alot milder after that :) Works for me and it makes my skin REAL smooth! haha

  • Every day clean my foundation brush in 70% alcohol because it's antiseptic and kills lots of the bacteria (:

  • how do you deep clean your brush?

  • i mean soo! haha

  • This is why I want an airbrush make up machine. They give beautiful foundation and are extremely sanitary! Luckily my birthday is coming up! :D Thanks for the video<3

  • You looked too pretty in this video!!!

  • Do you have any alternatives of brush cleanser? Like is there a cheaper thing to use then MAC brush cleanser, thats all I see people use :P

  • @chanelosity I dunno why people spend so much on brush cleaner, you can use dawn dish soap and it works wonderfully. That is what I use, and my brushes are always super clean and it doesn't dry them out

  • hey i heard cum works good for zits

  • bulimia tutorial

  • @StropeJuiceBWC How can you have a tutorial for bulimia

  • @BuzzinBeautyme thats my question! maybe she meant getting over it or another eating disorder?

  • air brush make up is very hygenic, no brushes needed and its very light on your face.

  • So how often should you wash your brushes?

  • @SiennaLace you should spot clean them everyday and deep clean them once a week =]

  • Thank you thank you thank you for being so positive and so influential. I've been sitting here crying because of something that happened and you've mad me happy again. I can't tell you how much it means to me -3 thank you

  • I haven't been washing my brushes in.... HOLY!!! *Rushes off to deep clean brushes*

  • BACTERIUM!!!!

  • you're so pretty it's crazy

  • But not all bacteria is bad and if it already sits on our face how can it be such a problem? Bacteria helps digest our foods, it helps get rid of dead skin etc... We also need to develop our immune system and if we are constantly kiling bacteria our immune system becomes wealk and then we can't fight it off and become sick or full of acne.

  • You remind me of Troian Bellisario

  • @jasnamandic: what kind of products can i can tretinoin, tazarotene, or adapalene in?

  • @jasnamandic: what types of chemical peels? I tried a salicylic acid peel and im not sure if i continue it will help or not. are there any cleanser u suggest i can use on a daily bases that will help? i also have trouble finding the right moisturizer. i have oily skin. but as in for right now it feels dryer then usual, i think it may be because of the weather.

  • Your soooooo gorgeous! Love ur videos

  • How is your dairy freeness going?? I've decided to go dairy free too :)) is there a specific limit to how long you should be dairy free in order to notice results??

  • This was really informative, but it would have been great if you touched on the difference between using natural hair and synthetic makeup brushes. Natural bristles are much more unhygienic because they're porous. This makes them trap product and bacteria very easily and is more likely to remain on the bristles even after a deep clean. It's better to use taklon brushes because they're much easier to clean and less likely to cause skin problems.

  • im gonna go wash my brushes now...

  • I'm surprised your not a dermatologist your self! You know so much about skin it's amazing lol :)

  • awww the kitten is getting so big :3

  • i dont wash mine like i should...but now i will lol

  • lol i never wash my brushes and i dont have acne/pimples :D

  • @dinafina1 Seeing as the majority of Cassandra's viewers or at least the viewers of this video are acne sufferers/ people who have skin issues its a bit insensitive for you to comment that on this video.

  • PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT MY CHANNEL!!! :DDD

  • I totally agree. I've stopped using makeup brushes to apply my makeup recently and my skin has definitely improved. I also make sure I wash my pillow case weekly and use a separate towel just for my face that is just for me.

  • I never wash my makeup brushes or sponges. I did once, they got all weird and started shedding. They never break me out though, and I have reasonably sensitive skin.

  • *month

  • I only wash my makeup brush once a week and I don't have acne.

  • @CesarinaX3 once a week is good...

  • Huh! I don't know about that! I probably wash my brushes once every two weeks or once a month with a everyday use! And i seriously have no acne. :-)...

  • i just rrealized i dont wash my brushess alot..... D;

  • House tour!!!

  • What is a good (non RX) moistizure that is good for acne prone skin? I am on Differen Gel and my skin is litterely peeling off my chin area and i'm scared to try a really strong lotion because I do not want to break out anymore than I already am.....

  • can sponges do the same thing?? i used to wash sponges but then they started falling apart so i stoped:/
