hah. the only time I had problems with akantor was my first battle. hammer or longsword, he goes down FAST.

black gravios though is a royal pain in the ass. ton of HP and good armour-- hell most of the time I'll end up killing him and won't have even broken his chest armour. first time I used a lance against him, got hip-checked, knocked away... and then heat-beamed me as I was standing back up.

@MegaEPERSON Akantor is a pussy. Ukanlos is cute. I had the hardest time on black gravios high-rank because his laser and fireburst spam. All you have to do for akantor is use a superpound and run in circles and I can kill him in under 15-20 minutes. That includes breaking both his teeth and both of his feet claws.

When he reels up, he is about to do either two things, one, roar, which if you have the ability, block, but if he stays up there longer, cancel your block and roll RIGHT under between his foot and his tail. With this, you will only get quaked and not damaged. If you have any other questions about fighting him (Well, ones regarding GS at least, since that is my fav weap against him) Let me know! : )

Hah! In MHFU just soloed this guy a few days ago. If anyone wants a VERY useful tip, do nothing but attack his back right leg, then when you knock him over switch to his head. Once he gets back up switch back to his back right. The ONLY attacks you need to be careful of are his charges (which for melee, is almost impossible, so just prepare Mega Armorskins and a fully upgraded current armor to take the blunt damage), and his stomach pound attack.
