Were the originals smaller? I am a pretty big guy (6 foot 6, 240 pounds) and most guitars look like a ukelele on me. The JPX I played felt tiny and looked tiny on me.....if he needs a bigger guitar to make up for his size (he doenst look like a big guy) then the first must have been tiny.

@BayneBridge2 I'm not sure what that 'hardcore' guy said, but its all a matter of preference. I really love MusicMan, but I also have a soft spot for PRS and Ibanez, even BC Rich (a warlock was my first guitar, so I'm partial). Haha. Regardless, MusicMan is the shit and some of the most well built stuff around. Not to mention, IT'S MADE HERE IN THE GOOD OLE' USA!

@justaspectator01 yeah you're right. the only thing i dont like about 7 string is when you drop tune the guitar whether it be on the low B or the low E it messes things up. but again, 7 string is definately better than 6 overall.

I would like to see how the Carvin I'm having built would compare to this guitar. The Carvn is a mahogany neck through with rounded strat style mahogany wings. Ebony fingerboard. @5Mag1cs apparently i heard a lot of musicman instruments are not up to their high standards as they claim. don't believe me, go to both the musicman website and JP's website and look for the recent threads; you'll see that there are a couple of long term MM users who found many flaws in their instruments when they first bought it new! not only that, but throughout the years i've witnessed many complains on EBMM instruments
