I have owned a 750, 600 and now a k8 1000 including about 20 of all other sizes, makes and models of motorcycles but I will have to say that this k8 1000 is my favorite by far. Anyone who says they like a 600 or 750 better most probably has never owned or ridden a new model gsxr 1000. They are unbelievable and handle great. They are close to the same size as they only way about 30 pounds more and only a couple inches longer. The seat height is the same. No comparison.
i owned a 04 750 for a few years , did most of my riding (track & canyon) on the 750, despite my lap times were lower with the 750
today i own a 09 R1, track time are matched sometimes lower *BUT* i never had as many smiles inside my helmet with my current R1 compared to my old now sold 750

I got me a 600 and when they talked on basic riding and getting use to handling and skill, its one of the best bikes to do it on. I love my GSX-R and hope to have it for a long long time. Safe riding and rockin' journeys!
i got a gsxr 750 rr and i love it and my dad got a gsxr 1000r and in long roads he will get me but on the snake i feel like i do a lot better and the 750 still has a lot of power to stand up and keep it up. but that just me
I have to chime in. I have a 2003 GSXR 750 and I am still impressed by it's way of doing everything well. I think the granddaddy of this whole sportbike replica movement (good ol sebun fiddy) is truly the master of it all.
The best answer I could give is...lay the bike down. Now, if you can pick it up by yourself without blowing your anus out...you can handle it. Next, get on it and see if your feet reach the ground...if they can then you can balance it. Now, take it for a ride and after you are going safely down on an open road in second gear over 40mph...blip the throttle just a bit. If you didn't crap your pants or go over backwards...there may be hope for you. Good luck.
Love my '07 seven fitty, but the '08's are supposed to have better midrange, and they look even better. The blue/white gixxer with the blue wheels is gorgeous.
The BHP is ever so slightly higher on the new model. Like 0.7bhp more, which is meaningless.
The new model comes with multi-mode power settings though, and it is slightly heavier compared to the earlier models so might have a reduced top speed.
I ride a honda hornet 600 and would tend to agree with their call on the 750 for all round versatility... I'm about the same height as those guys too. 1000cc is a big bike for our height and 150hp is way excessive for street riding. Still, if you don't mind riding unlicensed, go the litre bike!
busa's not such a sportbike, it's too heavy and too powerful. it's just the fastest bike ever, but it cannot compete on a track with a gsxr 1000 ok 600
yes itz a gixxer too... but 'busa is a hypersport bike... not a supersport.. n yes.. it just cannot compete on a racetrack with even the 600s.. itz more of a roadbike n excellent for drags ..
i rekon just get which ever 1 u like best coz they all have more than enough power anyway

That's not totally correct. Not in the sense of the other three, which are gsx-r's. gsx-r600, gsx-r750, gsx-r1000. The Hayabusa is a gsx1300r.
