    Angelg

    Drunk,sorry

  • Wow,she is amazing

    Angelg

  • Wow,she is amazing

  • Is she playing two-octave harmonics? I've never seen that before!

  • Perfect! Where I find this song in a studio version?

  • @anemastiah Savourna recorded this on her CD 'Calman The Dove' which also has tracks with the great Irish piper Davy Spillane. There is a shop on Savourna's own website ... at her own name .com ... where you can get all her CDs, plus you can get the sheet music for this too, if you are a good harp player!

  • @frasergord thanks! I do not play harp, but I love this instrument ....

I'll buy the album on the site ...

  • I would never have heard of her hadn't it been for these free videos.

Thank you to everybody who share and help inspire the world!

  • I love Savourna's pieces! Tickled Pink is my favourite piece to perform, she's such a talented harpist =]

  • I've loved Tickled Pink since I first heard it on cassette. Unfortunately I wore my cassette tape out many years ago. Savourna is definitely an inspiration for what the harp is capable of.

  • how many strings does your harp have?

  • If you want info on the harp contact Mark Norris Harps, Scotland-- he has a website

  • Such an amazing musician. I have loved her since she released "Tickled Pink." She's truly gifted and unique. Sadly we in the states don't know much about her and her music is mostly impossible to find out here. But once you hear her play you know immediately that this is someone special. I just love her.

  • Her lovely son Miles is my son Hani's best friend. I've just spent the evening with Savourna and her very talented family (including her composer father Ronald Stevenson) celebrating her husband Mark's 50th birthday. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. She is not only a talented musician but a also a real personality. The party was in a little village hall... real down to earth people!!!

  • This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your music.

  • Outstanding!

  • linda

  • that is a beautiful piece

  • Wow, she is amazing.

  • Wow. To watch this video and listen to the music is such a great fun!!!!

  • I've been fortunate enough to be around them all-- knew Savourna well back in the 80s when I lived in Scotland. My ex was a Mod winner in numerous clarsach categories. I'm here to tell you there are NONE better than Savourna Stevenson-- from technique to innovation to talent to personality-- if you want to hear how it's supposed to be done don't let anyone tell you ther's any better.

  • She has'nt changed a bit - still looks like she is 15 years old!

As you say - simply the best!

  • need more savourna videos please

  • WOW! She is a NINJA!!! AWESOME!

  • that is really good! nice left hand teqnice!

  • Wow...her hands are moving so fast!

    I wish i had a harp...but they're so expensive :(

  • you can hire them quite cheap

  • really? I though it was about £1000+ to hire one :S

  • I have just hired a Camac Bardic 27 string celtic harp, very beautiful and modest, superior french brand, for 25,50 euros per month, no deposit, for one year. This is in Holland, but I'm sure in UK you have even more choice and variety, what with the Celtic tradition.

  • the rhythm is crazy! very unique.

  • Great!

  • Man, all of her strings are white (instead of blue F and red C) I'd go insane without the differences. No one is like Savourna!

  • SHe has spaces to tell the differences instead, i think, or the strings are really thin...

But it's such an amazing piece!

  • no, she has different colored strings. red and blue aren't as high contrast with the dark background as white, so you can't see them as well. they're there.

  • oh,I see, becasue the strings were darker, they looked thinner, or like spaces. ^^

  • That is amazing! Whats the piece called and does it have published sheet music? x

  • This piece is called "An buachaille" ("The herdsman"): unfortunately I don't know whether it has been published or not.

  • thankyou ^^ its beautiful isnt it? xx

  • very beautifu, ya!

I bought it on ITunes from the "Album Persian Knight, Celtic dawn" :-)

  • ah! Its on record?! wow! Thanks for letting me know! Im definately on it. :D By the way...is this a spanish artist? or did she just do a tour?

  • Savourna's father was a scottish composer and she still lives in Scotland... I think...

  • ah right, cool. Been nice talking to you! I think im going to try and get that recording now! x

  • The sheet music is obtained by payment (of course) on her website.

  • @debbyplayer Not solo harp, but here Last.FM/music/Savourna+Stevenson/_/An+Buachaille on two albums (one may be solo - at the start she says: "recorded this twice, before").

  • Beautiful.

  • fast and nice ..good work=)

  • Beautiful playing - very 'alive' and rythmic!

  • FLIP!!!....thats crazy!!!

  • Absolutely insane.

  • WOW! So brilliant!!

  • Brilliant, I love this.

  • I guess I listend to this more than 10 times. Great piece of music!

  • It is a Mark Norris harp - they are tops. Mark Norris (was/is her husband)

  • that is so amazing

  • The songs name is An Buachaille, you can purchase it on itunes.

  • This has to be the cutest song ive ever heard.

  • very good and pleasant , thank you . For all of those who did appreciate this harpist , you can listen to Loreena Mac Kennigan too . She's a great harpist and a great singer too .She has a good website . Go and enjoy it !

  • Is it possible that you meant "Loreena McKennitt"? Well, if you did, you´re right - she indeed is a great singer. Perhaps also a great harpist, but she is know as a singer.

  • Savourna has a good web site with complete CD discography, track listing, MP3 samples & reviews

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some 1920's trading cards of musical instruments, including the harp.

  • I think the tune is 'Fording the Tweed' as played on her album 'Touch me Like the Sun' Go buy it, you won't regret it!
