I beleave Avatar is a warning of what costs our people will pay if we do take the so called red pill and excape (artistic example on words) the intro to the extended edition suports this thought as people end up living disconected lives they "exist" not live in a disconected world. since everyone sees there own interpetation on what the film stands for (and any other film for that fact) ,no single persons view can represent what others see, imagine what a person from China sees in this film.
Speaks the truth right there. Only replace "America" with "Humanity" - the world is like a combo of 1984 (Police State, draconian laws etc) and Brave New World (Soma, ie drugs and TV dumbing us down and making us numb and dead inside).
