I have worked for the fire department for 24 years, and I always get tickled at the dogs that run to the fence and howl when we go by with the sirens on! I also have three Bostons and an English Bulldog. Gotta love 'em!

Are Bostons not THE best! I have one named "Taco Beans" Don't ask!(about the name). I wish Beans could howl.BUT...,He can talk Seriously, He says "I want". Pretty perfectly,right on. Yay! I totally am in love with your dog! My boston, Wee-Man, is in love with her too. He howls as well. So does his brother. They have howling videos on you tube as well.

I don't think it hurts their ears. I think the harmonica has a sound that they just react to. If they didn't like it, I don't think they would sing along.

im not to sure that it does hurt her ears simply because every time i play the harmonica she will run upstairs and start to howl.. if she didnt like it, i dont think she would run to it.. but who knows

Actually I think different dogs might react differently, when my dog hears like a siren or fireworks, which both hurt his ears, he wants to run outside and bark and howl at it.
