Marina Abramović is so beautiful... :) Her art is interesting... but, I think that the world will need few more decades to really accept it.Perhaps she's just developing the new concept of future art: concentrating on unpredictable reactions of people left liberated to make an introspection of their own inner world.Perhaps that's the only thing that is left 'opened' during the art history,and whose 'results' we can't predict.Which is also a picture of our future,which was never so questionable.

Marina Abramovic's work really seems to evoke strong opinions, and in that alone her art is completely successful. It gets people to examine what they truly believe. Her art exceeds this sole value, however, in that it shows a person who commits to living in the liminal spaces her questions create. She doesn't dwell in polemics. Though academically capable, her art appears to be more about questioning and subtracting all that is unnecessary and living in that which is most essentially human.

@NodeNorth Escapism. It's been done. Which in itself doesn't necessarily make bad art, only this has been done to the point of cliché: Finding freedom in nature, truth within. These are romantic ideals. The romantics embodied these ideals beautifully, both in literature, painting and music, but seeing it as the main theme - in fact the only theme - of a modern artwork just seems trite, and above all pretentious.

Just think about the fact, that all the people how participated had 3 days of TOTAL freedom. For example leaving their phone behind or not having to communicate for a really short time. Of course on the one hand this sounds quite ridiculous but on the other you have to think about the fact that most of the things we love to do or love to have bring some kind of poison to our body and soul. AND I don't think that it would hurt to try out a project like such for once. or would it?
