  • Between 2 mins, just after he appears to shout through his reg you can hear a definite quickening in his breathing, he's already started to panic. From there on until he checks his computer his breathing is almost mechanically slowed. I reckon he started to panic early on and closed his eyes and slowed his breathing in an attempt to calm him down.

By the time he checks his comp his breathing becomes erratic and he eventually spits out his regulator, he panicked right after he saw his deppth.

  • is this solo? was is los? was fuhr ein,,,,no partner? my condolences. he was in the wrong attitude and orientation no?

  • why did he agitate and fowl the silt? did he prang his mix? wtf

  • The worlds graveyards are full of idiots like this. Sorry for his family but clearly this idiot was trying a bounce dive that was to be his last. Scuba diving is not a good sport for risk takers.

  • @ironmike405 It was actually that he was alone, and a few other factors.

And those people may be fools, but I always give them props.

  • 91.6 meters is approx 300 ft. MOD for air is 187ft He probably got Narc'd and continued down where he exceeded his PPO2 and went into convulsions. Thats probably when he lost his regulator.

  • Did the scuba diver made sounds when he was dying underwater?

  • @KodyBoy555

    yes?

  • About a minute before he spits out his regulator, listen. These are the noises of his tank squeezing small amounts of air past bubbles. Water begins to leak past your lips.

    I've been scuba diving.

It's not scary, as long as you pass the test.

It's just.. What can happen.. How it happens.

    THAT thought is eerie.

By the way, some people induce nitrogen narcosis on purpose, just for the feel. Not dangerous as long as you have a buddy.

  • ok to answer the questions this is what i have gathered:

the man holding the camera is the one who died

He went down by himself becuase he was an instructor and thought he could go alone

he reaches the bottom and gets tangled in the sand or something, which knocks out the oxygen mask

he panics, knocking off the camera and then he runs out of air

he is way to deep to swim up,

  • @MrJmranderson

He had a single tank at 91.6 metres. He must have been heavily narced by the time he reached the bottom. His descend rate is 30 metres per minuite, pretty fast. Probably he just spat out the reg because of narcosis. We'll never know the truth, we can only make guesses.

  • Spogt? Spogt??

  • Im still lost...what happened?

  • I dont get it? How did he die? Why didnt he swim up? Why did he sink in the first place?

  • Really? you didn't see it at 5:13? come on peeps, Get real with yourselves

  • @tjd1122 see what?

  • @tjd1122 No Monster no lochness, he narced out and made a BIG mistake by diving alone.

  • this is why i prefer to snorkal

  • watch?v=Wdug6A_D5iI

    This is why he died.

  • How very, very tragic...it is heartbreaking to watch this video -and I didn't even know him...I couldn't imagine how difficult it must have been for his friends and collegues to watch this -not to mention, his family!

I've seen this video several times, but it never gets less "eerie" -even though he was not somebody I knew. Just the fact that I'm watching the last moments of somebody's life...it's tragic...

    May he rest in peace.

  • poor bloke. like that guy said, sport is not worth dying for.

  • it jumps from 9:56 to 11:02 there hiding something from us or this is fake what could of happened in them 66 seconds

  • Comment removed

  • @mrbranditv1 haha LOL

  • @mrbranditv1 better put on that tinfoil hat!

  • even said on the film" it looked like pieces of him flying everywhere" watch this video VERY CLOSELY you won't see blood because of the filter it does not mean it wasn't there....

  • @astroPPx9 What's your point?

  • @astroPPx9 And it also says right after that "there is his fins", they are referring to parts of his diving equipment. Wow, you are worse than mrbranditv1...

  • About 2 minuts before the end of the film I saw something fish like pop into the left of the screen for a split second and either it or the camera moved away lightning fast I Firmly believe this man was fataly attacked by a monster of the deep.... RIP may the gods be with all those who risk diving to those depths

  • Stone cold Israelis.

  • Fuck!

    lol

  • If he is a rookie and have problema with ears he can maybe have to coold water and loose the balance and cant say if its up or down.

    anyway RIP

  • First of all may his soul RIP. Now it dose not matter if he is an instructor there is so many different ways of looking at it maybe he had a problem with the BCD maybe he couldn't control his decent i learned from diving dont do anything or try anything you ware not trained for in this case he should of dropped his weight belt and exhale or if he was trying to go down without without proper even Tec divers dont go alone not even i think if ur tec 45 or 50 from what i herd from my dive master.

  • Thing at 5:10 definitly was just a large fish. The size was too small to be something that would strait out attack him. And the shape of the mouth is that of a bass.

  • bring a knife next time...

  • @99guide99 Yeah, Isn't that kind of the point of a dive knife?

  • He thought he was some great diver, little did he know he was shit, descended too quickly and drown, like he said, nitrogen narcosis took him, no monster!!!

  • and HOW did they get the camra? it floated up? I DONT THINK SO! FAKE.

  • @monkeymoney52 They recovered the body the next day. Nothing fake about this.

  • @monkeymoney52 youre a fuckin dumbshit...if you think youre so god damn smart then go get a detective job somewhere because you seem so sure of yourself. this isn't a fake video and you morons go around callin everything fake because you dont know shit about anything.

  • @XA7XX7AX Shut up cunt. NO one gives a fuck what some hillbilly taproot listening dog massaging faggot like you has to say about shit.

  • @monkeymoney52 omg are u serious? lol

  • No shark or beast pulling him under. He decended to quik or had a medical problem.

  • He is mariano rajoy

  • My only question is how they got the camera

  • @blackgold161 There is video on youtube about the accident and shows them getting Yuris body out. The blue hole is a VERY well known dive and thousands have done this dive without any harm.

This accident was due to inexperience.

  • Ok I take it back ... Maybe it is real who knew!!!!!!!

  • It's fake I did research on it. They never recorded the body due to not having the right equipment "weird" but they recovered the camara and they claim its a doctor frm Miami but in the video they say he's a diver instructor..well FAKE but had me for a min. Lol

  • @debnmar Dive intructor is like a rank in how well he dives you tit

  • @debnmar your "research" is a bunch of fake bullshit. research something useful, dumbass

  • Scary...

  • i think this is fake......if somebody found his camera/filming over there...he should be that too!!

  • @getfunky79

before you scream fake you should at least search on wiki. At least....

  • did he implode

  • poor guy either got stuck in a current or due to how odly it went from having sunlight shine down to darkness he probly caught a current going into a cave or deep pocket but ya pretty messed up who knows what lurks in the deep dark depths

  • @dementednative Nitogen Narcosis, he had WAY to much wieght and decended to fast. Much like the guy said in the video he had to watch it 3 or 4 times to understand what happened.

I also do not believe those are shouts for help. He could have helped himself at that point and he decended like he wanted to go down. Only when he realized he wasnt boyant enough, did he panic and at that point he was at sever narcosis.

Sad but he shouldnt have done this dive without more training.

  • yuri from wodern warfare LOL

  • @royjet34 they guy just died and you're crackin jokes about his name? thats sad

  • Too many screwed up things have happened in the blue hole...its sad yes but these divers novice or professional all know the risks when they put the heather in their mouths and dice into the deep

  • i dont get it... can somebody tell me the whole story?!

  • ey i can make you go crazy

  • I Go with the fat guy

  • really sad video

  • omg that waws awful :(

  • Damn did this guy reach the centre of the earth? lol

    r.i.p man

  • Did he die passing the arch,or did he die trying to reach the arch?

  • Comment removed

  • Wow...thats just a horrible way to go. All alone at the bottom of the ocean, and the way the guy said"HELP!". It just made me want to throw up because, I just watched.somebody die...R.I.P diver dude.

  • First mistake was descending to quickly, at the point where he said help he probably realized he could not swim back up, possibly a current or maybe anxiety which induced the placebo effect and made him think he could not go back up. If there were indeed bite marks then obviously it was a shark, but we may never know truly, what happened.

  • @gearsofwarisdabest i just got back from there last week.. there's no way it was a shark at the bottom of the hole. no reason for one to be down there (it wouldnt identify a diver as prey, and there's no viable food source down there either), and there's not enough room at the bottom for one to effectively circle and attack. doing the dive alone was almost certainly the nail in the coffin, as well. had he have had a buddy, he might have had a chance, especially if it was equip failure.

  • lookslike who ever it was ended up at the earths core!

  • Ok can we all just go with the Loch Nes Monster? Lol

  • At 5:10 it is not a shark you idiots.

  • @uncorrectnickname

Sure it is. You can clearly see the nose of the thing. Also makes sense why pieces of his fins are floating about, You can also see the rows of teeth on the lower jaw. Im not saying he was attacked but sharks are known to explore with its mouth and that could of damaged yuri's gear.

  • @DeisisAndDrosera They found his body untouched and clean. And you can clearly see some sort of a hose or whatever.

  • Jesus Christ some people have some ignorant comments. Yuri was diving the blue hole of dahab and its arch. It is thought he has equipment failure to where he could not stop him self from descending or ascending. That is why he dropped so fast. To this day they understand how he died but not why he died. His camera cut out twice. First time leaving only sound which can be seen at the end of this video. The second time for good. I think a curious shark caused this. Check the 5:10 in upper left.

  • @DeisisAndDrosera ITS EITHER A SHARK OR SOME SORT OF CREATURE DOWN THERE OR ITS HIM IN A PANIC ( MEANING HIS ARMS OR LEGS MOVING QUICKLY)

  • Yes pause the video and step it from the 5:10 to 5:15 mark. That is a fucking shark in his face trying to figure out what he is. It probably damaged his gear and he couldn't resurface.

  • @DeisisAndDrosera OMG YES! IT SCARED THE ISH OUT OF ME IT IS!!!!!

  • There was something pointed out on a forum about this being a possible shark attack. I have played this video over and over at the 5:10 mark and there is an object that resembles the upper jaw and nose of a shark biting down. The diver even reacts to it in a way that reminds me of him being hit to trying to move. Has any one else noticed this?

  • Comment removed

  • maybe something had a hold of him. The water DID turn red and he seemed to be saying HELP the entire way down. Creepy

  • מזוכיזם!

  • Most people here know shit about scuba diving. (Meaning people who post the comments here, not the diver since there is not enough information to judge on that)

  • At 5:37 you'll hear what everybody thought.

  • How did they get the camera if you die down there?

  • @StropewafelBWC WTF is wrong with you??

  • @StropewafelBWC little boy get off youtube and do your homework

  • @jonwonnell i love it rough

  • Not worth it? Just came back from the red sea of egypt. I disagree. This is just an adrenaline junky who just wants the thrill of going to 100 metres and then ascending again.

  • its defently a susicde, it hink he wanted to die but he wanted to do something before he dided and i think it was to get down that hole and film it too.. i dunno

  • this person is an idiot......his died very painfully

  • Yikes what a way to go. Was he trying to prove something?

  • @corbin6141 crystal meth

  • I think it is a suicidde too, after reaching the bottom, he waives his hand telling everybody the depth of 91 meters and shortly after he opens his equipments to die a painful death. Not sure I fully understand why he did this, but this just an opinion on five minute video. Those who knew him and knew the circumstances may have other explainations

  • i think it's a suicide but it's my opinion..

  • @siixmik1325 your opinion is retarded

  • WHY ISN'T HE SWIMMING TO THE SURFACE??

  • @thejourneybegins1How is this related to the video?

  • He died because of a current taking him down and away. Not because some unhuman thing or falty equipment or human error,

  • @darthtrooper123 agreed. why would he have descended so fast then

  • @darthtrooper123 Currents cannot go down... Unless there was some blackhole constantly sucking in water... Then yes it could go down.. But Currents can only go left, right, foward and back. Personally I think it was a BCD error, possibly a hole in the BCD, which that "help" noise could of been. It could of ripped, but we will never know for certain.

  • This is how most diving related deaths happen; not as a result of catastrophic equipment failure or some unimaginable scenario, but human error. Diving rules exist for a reason. If you descend too rapidly narcosis sets in, its like being drunk. he goes down 90 meters in three minutes, even if he did go back up he would've died since he wouldn't have enough air to make safety stops to avoid decompression sickness. If you dive, follow the rules, atleast stick with your buddy.

  • I don't know much about diving but it seems like he wanted to go as deep as possible just to show he could do it. That's why he was showing his depth on camera. But then he got caught and couldn't go back up. Very sad.

  • also sharing fantasies and if possible put them into practice

  • if you look closely between 5:12 and 5:15 you'll see something moving on the left side of the screen. Doesn't seem human to me. When they later discovered his body, they said to have found a bite mark on him, kinda makes sense seeing as though there was something attacking him... Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is what I'm seeing

  • how did they get his camera?

  • Reply part three:

Yuri probably panicked and it didn't occur to him to just drop his gear while still being shallow. Going deeper and deeper, he most likely suffered nitrogen narcosis. At some point a rock caught his regulator's feeding tube and the regulator flew out of his mouth.

  • @CEngelbrecht You sir are 100% correct. No Beast, Shark, Current or faulty equiptment. He simply didnt have the the experience and dropped way to quik. By the time he realized he wasnt boyant enough, he was out of it from Nitrogen Narcosis.

  • even though it was 10 years ago

  • whole thing was just scary...i feel sorry for their loss....

  • it's almost as if he was being pulled down by some unseen force.. something evil...

  • Its possible someone could take the original footage and perform an professional analysis of the sound in the video to figure out how exactly he died (defective equipment, improper air mixture) and put the issue to rest once and for all. It has to be possible. There is a lot of ruckus heard in the video. How is anyone going to conclude how he died if no one can even agree on whether he was saying "help" or not? It seems to me that's a big factor here.

  • What a scary way to die :(

  • @HolySpiritfreak1292 maybe... i really don't know ... confusing as down is up and up is down have a very slim chance to happen... i sometimes think that he died because of muscle numbness...

  • I LOL'd so hard at the last part where dude said FUCK

  • Lots of people die in other sports to so why is there an exception for this one?

  • did he get sucked down into some thing he couldn't get out of or some thing?

  • @centafria your mom sounds like a chicken when I'm fucking her too! Grow up you fucking faggot!

  • 1 full minute of film was not showed, why?.

    it go's from 17.10 strait to 17.11.04

  • @NaKampf because thats the part where he dies obviously!

  • @joachim2464 i, know but is there an explanation found in this minute why he did not make any attempt to rise again.

or did he used a faulty oxygen mix that made him not respond.

  • @NaKampf the didn't want to show him die

  • @NaKampf That's the part where he actually passed, so it was probably censored for one reason or another, whether it be due to this airing on TV or something else.

  • @NaKampf Probably cause they don't want us to watch 1 minute of him just laying there dead...unless you think it's fake where if they showed us that minute it wouldn't even make any difference to anything.

  • yea sexydiver16 but there are sites with good dive stories on the net too. The myscubastory site has the best. They also have dive accident stories and videos; lost buddy stories and shark encounter videos. all of them are true life. Type myscubastory into google and its the first site.

  • horrible way to go R.I.P. but amazing that its caught on tape, no disrespect.

  • Wow that's sad and I bet it must have scary and painfull way to go that's y I don't swim RIP to the camera guy

  • 4:29 he loses the regulator. I've only just started diving and the 2 rules my instructor made sure were carved in my brain were 1) Never Panic underwater and 2) ALWAYS dive with a buddy no matter what your experience level is. RIP Yuri

  • 5:36 - Sums it up

  • There's no mystery to this. This is what happens when you descend too quickly.

  • at 4:26 it sounds like he finally tried to inflate his BCD?

  • @wazzadmunro That's, what I thought as well...

  • as i watch this, i felt sorry about Yuri... and when he kept on going down I said to myself.. "What are you doing! Go Up! Go UP!!!" then again he said "help!" right? and he panic when he gets tangle in the sand? so I thought why did he kept on going down but he still kept on saying help/whimpering?

  • I'm a little confused as to what exactly happened. How is it possible that he simply kept falling? He never let his gear go to float back to the surface...

  • @sentafria what sounds like a chicken? to be honest i don't like your comment, that video contains a person dying. and you made fun of it. try thinking that your the one died in that video and people just laugh at your death. A person dying isn't a laughing matter. And this comment doesn't just pertaining to you, it's pertaining to who did and will post a comment that will just made fun of the man's death.

  • @sentafria That is a fucking terrible thing to say about a person who has died. What are you, 6? You're goddamn immature to be writing such a comment on a video of someone dying! This just shows how heartless you are and how you care so little of a precious human life. If you were him you'd probably be panicking and sounding like a "chicken" too. Imagine being stuck 100 meters from the surface, out of oxygen, and about to die. It was probably scary as hell for him and a terrible way to die.

  • He didn't fall, he was pulled.

By a voice, as were the others.

    The old ones wait.

  • yea girlslikdivin24 but there are good scuba diving stories on the net also. The myscubastory site has dive accident videos and stories, along with lots of other videos and stories on diving! Type mscubastory into google, and its the first one! enjoy

  • My thought is he was either succumbed to immense pressure or was just ill-prepared with diving equipments. Oh, and the guy discouraging diving – was that even necessary? That just ruined the mood of the video for me. Pretty much in every single sport, you get into accidents; it's natural. Dive as much as you want, but please just be careful.

  • How the hell do you do that?

I mean, fall STRAIGHT to your damn death?

Its almost like he dove down there on purpose but you heard him cry for help multiple times.

  • It's called Nitrogen narcosis... basically, don't dive beyond 30 meters and you're fine.

  • @Szgerle Great job for not having a sympathy for a human being.

  • @ruin4you

A human being? Where? Did I skipped ov er a part of the video?

  • @Szgerle I see, you're trying to be a dick over the internet, never mind.

  • @rationalmuscle I AM MORE THEM A GEM IAT LEAST I BELIVE IN JESUS CHRIST AND THOSE THAT DONT BELIVE THE HELL WITH THEM THEY HAD THERE CHANCE TO BAD

  • @maxismax100 ...and you obviously also believe in the omnipresent deity Allcap, famous for his command to ignore grammar while screaming moronic comments to the world without the slightest concern over keyboard etiquette.

Bravo -- at least he actually "exists."

  • in a previous video they say his equipment was never found....yet they find his camera ..... to get the footage

  • so, he got in a downwards current?

    what happened?

  • Something dragged him down

  • How did he die? did he get killed by something or did it have to do something with the oxygen? what? can someone please explain to me what happened? please

  • kid put his head in half is the most shoking video ever

  • Tough :(

  • Scary

  • @rationalmuscle LIKE GEORGE CARLIN SAID THE SEVEN DIRTY LITTLE WORDS SHIT PISS FUCK CUNT COCK MOTHERFUCKER TITS FART TWAT

  • seems like he NEEDS to be breathing nitrox and he was 10x the recreational depth and became entangled with his regulator out of his mouth, couldnt find it in the sand he kicked up, and slowly suffocated

  • I don't know if I want to watch this can someone sort of summarize what happens?

  • WOW.....THE END WHEN IT GOES SILENT NEARLY GAVE ME A PANIC ATTACK

  • How do you get tangled in sand? I can understand reeds or something, but sand?

  • @HappySweeto He was disorientated because he'd entered the water without sufficient equipment and as a result, he developed Oxygen Toxicity. Him getting 'stuck' was more likely caused by delirium - you cannot think straight in that stare. That also explains the thrashing, since his nervous system was affected as well. He wasn't really 'stuck' in the sand; he might have thought he was though.

  • My girlfriends dad died in a diving accident, makes me see this stuff as super sketch

  • and for that brief moment, Yuri felt the most unbelieveable of pains as the salty water entered his lungs, and then he heeded the call of the deep, and was no more.
