Hey folks ! I've got one of these and it's great ! However if you're a newbie guitarist always make sure you can - where ever possible - try out the amp at a store first, because the sound may not be quite what you think. This vid is suprisingly "metal" sounding. When I play through the highest gain with my twin humbucker guitar it "rocks" but to me not in a metal way.

This is very subjective of course, but be prepared to buy an additional pedal for extra gain. Peace.

@quantumquantum I got exactly the same AMP but its gain is too low. I mean when I turn on overdrive channel it just makes sound very low but the distortion level is very low even on max gain. But I play Squier, maybe its a probl;em?

@pumpkinthestrange Hi there. There is a possibility that the output from your pickups is low. If you can, try out the amp with another guitar. Hopefully when you try another guitar you may find that the distortion is greater. If not, you may need to get the amp checked out, in case it's the valves. Hope this helps.

Great tone man! What is your signal chain? I notice something on top of the amp. Are you using an OD pedal or something to push the amp to get that level of gain?

Yeah, I'd like to know myself...that distortion is NOT stock. I own this same amp, a decent amp and I just use a Line 6 POD XT to provide some heavier OD to it. But some of those line 6 sounds are too digital and tend to sound like an amp simlutor going though an amp. So I'm in the works to find a great distortion and OD pedal to use with this amp. There is a great video of a guy demostrating a VOX saturator ped. through it and another with the Xotic BB preamp pedal..

I am looking for a Marshall, it would be my first ever Marshall, I love the Chunky British Tone, I want to know if the Haze 15 would be good? I am alternatively looking for a JCM 800 2204 (50 Watter) just love the way it sounds, But am confused totally at this point.I know a 50 watter would be too loud 4 home, But I want the real thing, that tone, I would get an attenuator, Just don't know what to do, as JCM's r not avlbl in India. hv to get frm UK or US..Costing a bomb..... pls advice

So which one performs better on bedroom conditions ? With low volume performance does it worth to get Marshall Haze 15 ? It costs closely same with Pod X3 Live. I don't want to pay too much especially for a processor. I can get Marshall Haze 15 at the same price. I can play low volume. So can I get pure clean and excellent distortion on this amp with low volume?

@intaomri To get allot of good distortion with the Marshall Haze you have to drive the amp really hard, so it's not going to be as quiet as say a Blackstar Ht-5 head or combo, and personally I'd go with the black star because the haze is a little muddy.

At Guitar Idol 2009 he use Seymour Duncan JB on bridge, 59 on neck

but in this video he change them back to original pickups from factory,

DiMarzio Tonezone on bridge, PAF Pro on neck

and he talk about the neck of Vigier that reinforced with 10% carbon, no truss rod

no weather condition effect, give more sustain, precision sound, dynamic, balance
